What's new

New features that have already been committed and are available in Tiki16 are being documented in doc.tiki.org and can be found here.

Things that need to be done

1. Updates (before branching)
   1. update to latest smarty (it was tried for Tiki15, but it is not that easy, see https://github.com/smarty-php/smarty/issues/203
   2. All other minor upgrades - use php temp/composer.phar outdated to list them
2. Improving admin interface by moving and classify branches and sections:
   1. User pref
   2. Community
   3. ...
3. Moving to basic preferences all the options/features that are set by default but still are hidden as flagged "Advanced". (partially)

# Adding a new page in the install process to give information about upgrade, newsletter, how to read on critical information.

1. Improving secdb check for package and svn install
2. Security implementation
3. Replace JSMinify with JShrink?

Experimental and Unavailable are by nature temporary status. Or an option/preference/feature is underwork, under evaluation or about to be discarded or it is complete and good to be flagged as Basic or Advanced preference.
A review is needed to check and the Experimental / Unavailable and what should be done;

• Changing the flag to Basic or Advanced
• Remove it (or prepare the removal for the next version)
• Keep it as it is with verification to the team working on it they are still willing to complete it
