Any occurrence of the string "<link" in a plugin of any case (for example, within a CODE block) is being replaced by the string "<link" (note case conversion) before being passed to the plugin as $data.

At https://dev.tiki.org/Wishlist the customsearch displays a status selector.
If you remove the default "open" status it will provoke a logical error as the "empty" or "no-status" option doesn't exist. It shouldn't happen.

UPDATE: I posted a workaround, not sure it is a real solution

Theme control by category not working for me, on 1.10svn site updated to today May 8th. It used to work before, but I don't know when it stopped working (months ago??). I hadn't used the feature for a while

I have the impression it affects all plugins....

the latest release 17.1 no longer allows the theme width to be changed by pixel or percentage. Up through 17.0 the theme width could be fixed at a percentage, or a pixel, 85% or 1170px.

There are only two options now, full width, or default width. The custom theme width no longer seems to be operational.

5-16-2019 update: this issue has returned in Tiki19

Themes using the old preference format do not work/show in 1.10. While we want people to upgrade themes to 1.10, legacy mode should be enabled.

RestoreCss Fix broken themes, particularly those broken for safari/konq users.

Although there are permissions such as tiki_p_create_galleries there is no tiki_p_edit_image_galleries.

So a group with tiki_p_create_galleries permissions can add a new image gallery but cant edit the description after they have added it. Which is a problem if they made a mistake.

There even is a perma-link in the bottom left of the forum post with "Link" label linking to https://tiki.org/forumthread67074-Plugin-trackers-transaction-step-on-Tiki17-2 which returns the same error.

Trying to start using Images Gallery on a fresh 1.10 install on a Ubuntu 7.10 Server/Apach2/PHP5 platform. All image files are JPG.

__GD__
GD ("2.0 or higher" per phpinfo) was installed with the platform and Tikiwiki seemed to recognie it, but functionality is not right.

If I upload an image from a URL, I get a thumb sized as predicted. However, if I upload a local file I get a 100% sized thumb.

If I choose to "rebulid thumbnails" all thumbs are made 100% sized.

I installed it (2.0.0-alpha per phpinfo) and it's PHP module using apt-get and restarted the whole system for good measure.

Uploading an image from URL or local file is the same. I get what appears to be a white, 2x10 pixel thumbnail and image.

If I choose to "rebuild thumbnails" there is no apparent change. If I only switch back to GD and choose to "rebuild thumbnails" I get perfect looking, though 100% sized thumbs again.

I'm trying to integrate my awesome Tiki (v 5.3) with Bigbluebutton,
the problem is, I couldn't spot any bigbluebutton icon on the list of features despite the setup for the integration is theoretically correct according to available resources.

Hey everyone,

The calendar backdrop likes to not go away when escaping out of the calendar. This prevents a user from doing anything on the webpage without refreshing.

This is the element in question : <div class="modal-backdrop fade in"></div>

How to recreate the bug:
1. Double click on a day on the calendar, it has to be a double click
2. Click on any of the text fields
3. Hit escape
4. The backdrop should stay and refuse to go away without a refresh

The odd thing about this bug is that you have to double click on a calendar day to create it. Single clicking the day allows the escape key to work as intended. I was able to recreate the bug on the demo site.

This is apparently a known issues that has not yet been fixed.

I have yet redacted quite the same text three month ago, about 4.1, 4.2... Because i could never start these versions, try to find bugs... submit but no answers.

My original text has been lost because of the bugs of the bugs reports management (author not stored - corrected, no capability to sort the items by date, no capability to sort anyway and search) nevertheless, too much to do elsewhere...

__Lest's go to the problem, which is a major one :__

!!The fact :
If any fields which is stored into sessions->data contains an " ' ", it is impossible to restart TIKI (always automatically and by evidence crashes if TIKI tries to restore these session.

!!The reason :
The text is stored with is " ' " and included "simply" into the query which resets the prefs.
By evidence this simple quote " ' " creates a query error and a crash of tiki (often APACHE).
this " ' " is interpreted as the end of the query, and the remaining a non-sense.

!!!Example :
With 5.0 if you are just installing with an upgrade of database, into the session query you will find the third data_text-block

the " ' " of "doesn't" crashes the first run.

!!!The same happens when you have a header page with a title containing a simple quote " ' "

I have just found a lonely solution :

* the first, simple : any sessions->data content must be pre-translated with doubled simple quotes (which is the SQL syntax).
* any read of sessions->data doubled simple quotes must be set back to a unique one.

This possible solution offers too the capability to find fields with quotes by any query, if the data sent into queries are pre-translated (if not it is a crash).

A back translation after reading is not need only in some cases (the prefs restoration for example), for a search query the results will come back with their simple quotes...

!!!Who acts ?
It is very simple.
There are not many place where the problem occurs;
But I I have lost so much time because of the bug of 4.x and now 5.0RC and 5.0 Stable that I could not make the work I had programmed to do.
In my opinion it should be better that people who have written the SQL requests, make the change.

If they are not ready, I can submit patches (tikisession particularly)

Hello,

I have reached the end of an installation of 5.0 with à database upgrade by 4.2 installer form a 3.3 site.

To reach this point after one month, I need to find and make the patches of bugs form which 3 on 5 are corrected into the current 5.x (SVN repository)

After I could obtain the home page, this appends :

1 - the "main admin" sends the message :

__INVALID DATABASE run installer__,

2- You run installer again, the installer says __"Database upgraded successfully"__

3- You run normally tikiwiki and then come back to point 1, eternally

If I join documents they can be the HTML page capture from Zotero but I don't think that they will be useful or the .zip of the database (600ko) for test.

I have surely no information to try to understand this issue.

When I try to execute some command I have quite not any command which can be run without an error :
- All displays are like UTF8 on a latin1 display (while Firefox say Page encode UTF8)
- Try to edit user pref : -> system error table ".tiki_trk_1" not found
- Try to display Wiki page or article content : the url called misses any module (*.php) tu run and no query "?" but only a part of the query content (like "http://mysite/<article_name>.

- Modify-edit page or article leads to an empty page

Tiki should allow full HTML (including SCRIPT elements) within the HTML box for Ads. I understand the security implication of allowing SCRIPT elements, but only users with permission to create ads can do this.

is there a workaround that if I change the object name in the database to be <=30, that the code will not abort.

- Usage of "CLOB" in Oracle different from "Text" in MySQL, so usage of every table has to be checked.
(especially where LOB-Index is used as a reference (e.g. tiki_languages))

- Oracle can not use CLOBs for indices so search functionality has to be checked (fulltext index?)

Hello all!

I have a Tiki instance, installed with regular Apache and -+.htaccess+- and I tried to put the Ngnix as a reverse proxy for that.

The Nginx was setup to accept just https connections. The scheme is forwarded by using the header -+X-Forwarded-Proto+-, which is suggested by nginx documentation. While Tiki does not recognize that, Tiki pages will use the regular -+http+- when rendering action on any form, like auth form for example. When user POST to http://, the proxy will redirect http to https and the POST request will be lost.

I suggest Tiki recognize -+X-Forwarded-*+- and also -+Forwarded+-, as we can find on https://www.nginx.com/resources/wiki/start/topics/examples/forwarded/.

All TikiWiki pages don't load with the mentioned plugin activated. All I did was an update from 3.0 to 3.1... Afterwards, TW didn't work any longer. When I deactivate the plugin, everything's okay.

I believe this has to do with a specific TW feature, but I can't make out which one...

I'll try to find out more about this problem, and will all I can find out to this bug report.

I had it four of five times (probably systematically because I test now three time and obtain the error each time).

If you have created the last answer on a forum item and __you re-open for edit __(because you get new information a short time after you publish it and not major) when you try to save or preview your modified text you can (seems systematic) get the error :

__Notice : this variable may not be empty: $post["tread_sort_mode"]__

This makes impossible to modify your last text (answer).
You need to re-open the item from the forum the proposal "go back" crashes.
After re-open you get the same error, so it is linked to the text edit himself page display (full item re-loaded completely from db).

the button "insert internal link" (on the WYSIWYG-editor) doesn't work.

it opens a new window "local.php not found — This is normal if you have not run the tiki installer yet".
