Category: Error

error message, broken, etc
A bug is something which doesn't work like it should. It is an obvious error.
This category was probably used as a fallback for bugs which did not fit other Bug subcategories before the general Bug category was created.

Simple Email format in Tracker not working
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"}
In a tracker it is possible to admin the following:

use simple eMail-Format
The tracker will use the text field named Subject if any as subject and will use the user email or for anonymous the email field if any as sender

Although this is checked and a field with type Email exists, the emails that are created during tracker item creation are send with the sender set to the general tiki sender adress.

It should be sent with the sender set to the input of the tracker item field.

simple multiline chart (tikisheet) produces many errors and no chart
I have created a tikisheet: 7x7 table, with some special characters (é, è, spaces, round brackets, comma, ...)

||Programari | Sistema Operatiu | Llicència |Català |Multiplataforma | 2000 |Funció
WinK |GNU/linux, M$ Windows |Gratuït per a ús no comercial |No (en procés) |Si |100 |Per generar video tutorials

Firefox | |MPL |Si |Si |6000
Thunderbird | |MPL |Si |Si |6000
Gimp | |GPL |Si |Si |2000
Gaim | |GPL |Si |Si |2000 ||

I've just enabled feature_charts, and tried to produce a multiline chart, but I just got a 100% blank page .

The options requested after multiline chart is selected, are:
||
Títol: | prova
Independant Scale: | (x) Horizontal ( ) Vertical
Horizontal Scale: | (x) Bottom ( ) Dalt
Vertical Scale: | (x) Left ( ) Right
Series:
label | prova
color | red
style |
x | a1:a7
y0 | f1:f7
y1 |
y2 |
y3 |
y4 ||

(similar to what I saw at the screengrab at [http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=TikiSheetDemo|tw.o sheet demo]
.
But it produces a blank page.
memory limit at php.ini is set to at least 32 Mb, I think (for sure, more than 8Mb or 16Mb)

# Go to the registered users homepage. You'll see an almost WSOD with just the table header (of the trackerplugin) at the top.
# Edit the TrackerFilter plugin params to set displayList=n and everything will display correctly (but no list of items pre-displayed)

Change the email associated to the user "xavier" to one email of yours. And as admin, add a new item to the tracker1 (user "xavier" is subscribe to the tracker already). Interface is in Spanish for all (sorry for that, but needed for easy setup of the testing environment :-).

Email received got proper encoding and chars displayed in the subject for me, but not in the email body, where there were wrong chars displayed.

For instance, this part:
{CODE()}
Testing special charaters:

{CODE}

was expected to show:
{CODE()}
Testing special charaters:

as shown in the header of the show.t.o instance.

Full email received (short headers shown heere, sorry; I couldn't see any charset info in the full headers; for full headers, send a notification email to your own email as indicated above):

Since Your Last Visit wants to show changes from months ago
Frequently here and on tiki.org the Since Your Last Visit module lists all changes since August (for me here at the moment {sign user="jonnybradley" datetime="2020-12-16T16:16:58+00:00"}) which added 10 to 20 seconds to every page load time.

Resetting the "to" date by going to [tiki-calendar.php?todate=0] clears it but when the session runs out it goes back to months ago (and slowness)

Site Identity menu bar admin needs textarea for input
The Site menu bar in Site Identity can be turned on (checkbox), but there's no textarea to input the code to be used for the menu bar. (Nothing is displayed at two of my 1.9.7 sites, anyway.)

When set, the template should use {eval var=$sitenav_code} and I guess this should be stored in the tiki_preferences table. But there's no way to input it. Seems like tiki-admin.php?page=siteid needs a textarea similar to the one for custom code content for Site nav code (PHP Layers menu tag, etc.)

Slash after the last digit of a Category ID
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"}
Watch Module must be turned on.
Category module must be tuned on.
Article Module must be turned on.

If I create a new Article and assign it to a category that is watched by me, I should get a notifcation that a new object has entered the category. By I don´t get a notification.

I encountered this problem while I was working on the new report feature because I didn´t get an entry in the report too.

The possible Bug is located at the update_object_categories function in categlib.php (Line 1491) in the $categories variable.
$categories contains all new Categorie-ID´s of an object. So if I assign an article to a category, $categories should contain the ID of the category. No problem so far. The problem is, that each ID has a slash behind the last digit.

{CODE(colors="php")}print_r($categories);
die();
{CODE}

at the third line of the function gives

{CODE(colors="php")}Array
(
[0] => 2/
){CODE}

I think the slash is wrong.

SLIDER plugin does not work when placed in a module zone (such as PAGETOP) via MENUPAGE
If you place the SLIDER plugin in a module zone (such as PAGE TOP), it breaks the Tiki page layout. The images in the slider do not load correctly, the slider vendor JS and CSS do not load.

I have tried:
# Creating a custom module with SLIDER and placing it a module zone.
# Creating a page with the SLIDER, then using a MENUPAGE module to add the page to a module zone.

Neither works.

Users should be able to place a SLIDER (or really, use __any__ Tiki plugin) in a module zone.

slideshow fails to work if no plugin slideshow call in wiki page but just automatic link at the page bottom
Slideshow system fails to work if there is no ((doc:PluginSlideshow)) call in wiki page but just automatic link at the page bottom.
It seems as if some library (or something) is missing to allow passing slides forward, because the first slide is shown, and it works to hiughlight bullet points, but when the time to move to the 2nd slide comes, nothing happens and slideshow stays in the first.

If you go to list slides, and attempt to click at any from that list, it seems as if the slideshow systems wants to take you there, but it comes back to the first slide very quickly.

Reproduced in this show2.t.o instance attached to another bug report:
http://xavi-9794-7332.show2.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Tiki%20Wiki%20CMS%20Groupware

Once you edit that page, and add a simple call to plugin slideshow inside (no params needed), and tiki caches cleared (just in case), then it works as expected:

Smarty warnings from core.get_include_path.php
Error using Tiki 5.3 on a shared hosting (installed in …/httpdocs/tiki). This error does not occur with TikiWiki 4.1 on the same hosting (installed in …/httpdocs/tiki4).

When I try (as admin) to edit users in Tiki 5.3, I get these PHP errors:

To me it seems that the open_basedir restriction is reasonable (my hosted Web space + /tmp). There seems to be a syntax error (beginning / before lib) inducing a confusion between /lib on the server and the …/httpdocs/tiki/lib folder in my installation. (By the way, I do not understand // in the path.)

I tried to read line 34 in core.get_include_path.php, but I am not a programmer and I cannot figure how to correct the syntax error. I do not know the value of all these variables at the moment the function is called.

Could somebody suggest a correction or a workaround?

Solution to Calendars not loading, incorrect Image syntax in description field breaks Calendars
I discovered an issue with my calendars a couple of weeks ago. It turns out that it was caused by one of our users giving a certain input to a new calendar item. Essentially, they were attempting to add an image to a calendar event and submitted an improperly formatted string in the description field. Instead of using the the 'Image' button on the new calendar item page (tiki-calendar_edit_item.php) to load their image, they did some sort of copy/paste of the image or its syntax from a page using the ''wiki'' syntax.

Their input in the database looked like:
<p>~np~{img fileId="791"}~/np~</p>
But the correct syntax looks like:
<p><img alt="" src="display791" /></p>

After hunting this bug down, it was determined that it was in fact the cause of our calendars getting hung during the loading screen, and this resulted in the WSOD. After simply deleting the two entries from our database that had the incorrect syntax, the entire issue was resolved, and the calendars began loading correctly again.

In pursuit of a fix for this kind of bug happening again, maybe there is some way to prevent a write to the database when the title or description field (in tiki-calendar_edit_item.php) contains this form of syntax?

Hopefully, there will be a way to restrict this from happening, as it took a couple of weeks to hunt this bug down, since we had no idea when or where it originated from.

I'm submitting this bug report in case future users experience this same type of issue.

Some DB tables are not created on MySQL 5.5 and above during install
I created a test environment with the following components:
Apache 2.2.10
PHP 5.2.8
MySQL 6.0.8 alpha

I was not able to get MySQL 5.1 working on my machine,
but I was abe to get 6.0.8alpha runnning smooth.

I checked out the latest code in TRUNK 15953
pointed Apache to the files.

I ran tiki-install.php without problems except the following 3 SQL problems
which I suppose is due to MySQL version 6.0.8alpha

As my SQL skills are not up to date...
Are there any solutions for these bug?

Do not propose, that version 6 of MySQL is not supported :-)
