I'm doing that even as site user admin.

What's wrong?

The tick in admin > rss is on for all lines (including individual trackers)

The RSS feeds seem to have no permission checking. The feeds should only include information that is available to Anonymous.

It is the second time (and I see others having the same issue) that saving a comment using the "Save and Comment" button when completing a tracker item on tracker5 creates 2 identical comments instead of one.

__The cause:__

Given a Tracker has a field of type 'calendar item' and a number of other fields, for example a 'Textarea' or a 'Textfield'...

Given a user creates a Tracker item and desides to add an event to the Tracker item, __then__ the user can edit the Calendar event from inside the tracker, after the Tracker item is saved the first time (with existing event).

It is quite probable that a user who wants to edit a Calendar event might need to edit another field of the same tracker item at the same time.

Looking at the UI of the Tracker form, a user would most likely asume, that he can add or edit data in the Textarea, then edit and save the event and then save the Tracker item without losing any data.

In fact, when the user clicks at the edit-event button and then the save-event button, __all changes made to the Tracker item in the other fields will be lost.

__Observation:__

After saving the event, the whole page (browser tab) reloads the non-edit version of the page, instead of only saving the Calendar details to the Calendar and keeping the other field's data 'alive'.
Thus if you have filled a form or edited fields previously filled and then edit the event and then save the event, the just filled data get's completely lost

I imagine, that there would be some kind of AJAX event needed that pushed the Calendar event data to the database, without reloading the page.

Depending on the respective Tracker form, this could cause the loss of work and thus frustrate users to some unreasonable extent.

Search (index) need sometimes to "Explode" a itemList field values as an array of string so each value can be filtered

For an exemple, in a tracker you have an itemList fields using this date field with such values:
* tracker_field_date: 2021-03-24, 2021-01-14, 2020-10-22

To filter per date (we need item that contain "2021-03-24" only) we can should be able to use multivalue.

This is working fine if you use elasticSearch but doesn’t when you use Mysql.

I know this is a new feature, but it is better to deal with this earlier than later... ;-)

When I go to a fresh Tiki 23, searching for "System Trackers"in the admin search preferences doesn't help. (results are really not what I'm looking for)
If I search for "System", the option "Exchange rates tracker" is displayed among too many things (yeah System is used I Tiki ;-) )

This feature (section) is important enough to deserve its own tab (it will also rank the degree of "importance") and this section is (will be) a collection of trackers so it will grow and even with 3 or 4 tracker option (accordion) that will be awkward at the bottom of the page.

No tool on dev.tikiwiki.org for finding a tracker item by item number. Unable to process IRC request to look at bug 2683 without URL tinkering.

Searching and trying to using different listing gives random and wrong results.

I have checked the unified index freshness (it is ok Your index was last fully rebuilt on Friday 24 December, 2021 07:10:50 IST.) and it should have find me the item I was looking for.

Ultimately the tracker view showed me the item:

Tracker can be (and are starting to be) used for creating forms of offers and demands in communities... (knowledge banks, time banks, openmoney....)
In our case, from tracker demands there is a field linking (through "item link" field) to tracker offers (a demand in the demands tracker can be for a specific offer already inserted in the the offers tracker).

In this case, it's needed that (optionally) a inter-user message is sent to tracker item creator when that item is automatically linked from another tracker item (from another tracker, in our case).

Other way, it's hard for a user to know if another user has requested some of this offers...

Now we have Scheduler and plugin ListExecute we can fairly simply make an automated notification system for this tracker, to:
* email the originator if it's pending and needing retesting
* open, not fixed and a volunteer is listed
* still open after a very long time (gone stale?)
...that sort of thing.

Anyone fancy trying to set it up? (:mrgreen:)

At https://tiki.org/Add-Consultant the value for 3 fields that were added recently (index rebuilt several time since) are not display and the user can’t choose anything.

There are some issues with dropdowns and tablesorter data with trackers.

(1) Tracker item status displayed in a PluginTrackerList as dropdown has no values (this is fixed in Tiki14.x, it seems). Fixing in 12.x LTS will be appreciated.

Response: This is not backportable to 12x unfortunately. This ability sort and filter based on the image title wasn't added until tablersorter version 2.17.5 and Tiki 12 uses 2.14.4. But I have fixed as much as possible and it is now possible to filter using o, p or c in 12x

(2) Dropdown field. An item has no value for that field. How do you select those records with empty value? Could some filter like "empty/not empty" be added to the fitlers?

Response: I don't see an easy way to do this. Would suggest using the sorting to sort empties to the top, or in some cases setting dropdowns or range properly could capture empties (e.g., if they actually have a 0 value). Will ask the tablesorter developer for a fix.

(3) when the order of the fields in the plugin trackerlist doesn't match the order of the fields in the tracker definition, the results are unexpected: it seems to overrule the order in the trackerdefinition.

Response: after further discussion this is not an issue - the sort parameter needs to be set to y for columns to follow the order of the field parameter.

In a Tiki22 I have 2 trackers (orders, payments) with relation fields.

They may be one order with several payments (recurrent, monthly payment).
I have actually 4 payments per orders and that’s work ok but on a specific case I have more payment and Tiki throw errors.

By nature relation shouldn’t be limited and able to handle many items.

It is plaguing and changing behaviour of other components.
In the screenshot below you can see many counter (plugin list count template) displaying a 0 instead of the real value even if the list plugin is set with a different tracker. There is a big chance the index become corrupted or not completed so I escalated.

The fields should be protected in a first place (avoiding using longer data than possible to use) and finally this field specific should be set to a relative high amount of data.

The Shop profile does create two new groups: Customers and Managers. Managers get some permissions in regard to payments, but none for trackers. This means Managers aren't allowed to populate the products tracker with items, only admin can do that. Also, they aren't allowed to remove tracker items. The entire permissions roster should be checked for consistency.

Also, it should be checked whether or not tiki_p_view_category should be granted to anonymous, otherwise the category won't be output in the shop. Another story is tiki_p_list_trackers. In the default shop profile, this is granted to anonymous, but still for some reason only the admin can list the products tracker?

Using 1.10cvs code from mid june 2007

I created several trackers. Enabled RSS for individual trackers. Created rss modules for two individual trackers (rss 1 and rss 2).
Granted common permissions for anon. (view, ...), and most tracker permissions for Registered group.

Added a call to rss plugin within a wiki page:
