Solution

I am enabling:

Show creation date when listing items
Show creation date when viewing items
Show last modification date when listing items
Show last modification date when viewing items

...on the tracker properties -> Display section on the show instance, which makes the dates appear, but ok, the creator/modifier does not... so half fixed i think?

SVN-upped the instance, now on 15.x - still half fixed.
