mod import-phpwiki is empty as it is in mods.tw.o: files are in subdir at cvs
mod import-phpwiki (as it is from http://mods.tikiwiki.org) doesn't contain the php and tpl files. Looking in cvs, the files are under a subdirectory of this mod (tikiroot): maybe that's why they didn't get packed inside the mod? |

Mods Problem-Update Remote Index not working
When trying to update or rebuild remote index from Admin Mods section in tw site, get an error message stating: Impossible to open http://mods.tikiwiki.org/Packages/00_list.public.txt/Packages/00_list.public.txt : Connection timed out The URL used under config mods was http://mods.tikiwiki.org. I didn't have the problem until I ugraded to 1.9.8.3. I got on IRC, and suggestion was made to try http://mods.tikiwiki.org/Packages/00_list.public.txt, which gave same message. The admin mods area tells me the permissions to write are correct, so it doesn't appear to be a permissions problem. |

Mods: make permanent URL to download latest version of a mod
If you go to this page: http://themes.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=legacy_themes You see links to download themes. Good. However, these could be older versions. Bad. Suggestion: a permanent link. http://mods.tikiwiki.org/Dist/themes-matrix.tgz which links to the latest version. Ex.: http://mods.tikiwiki.org/Dist/themes-matrix-1.2.tgz Of course, if people use the mods installer, they don't need. But still... |

mods: remove mod config from mods.tikiwiki.org list (old and unfinished work). Keep it in cvs, just in case mdavey or anybody else might like to keep working on it, but it's not functional right now, and it overwrote the improved tiki-admin.tpl in tiki core files. I removed the page also from documentation pages [http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Mods+list] |

Module my_ledger (CC Mod) not showing balance if using param float=>right
Using CC Mod [http://cc.tikiwiki.org/Mod+Community+Currencies] on a 1.10cvs from mid june 2007: Here: http://www.moviments.net/intercanvis/Moneda+social I'm using this code: {CODE()} {MODULE(module=>my_ledger,float=>right,decorations=>y,flip=>y,max=>10,np=>0)}{MODULE} {CODE} However, a user with trasnaction, is showing nothing in the module. However, if the same user goes to: [http://www.moviments.net/intercanvis/cc.php?page=ledgers&my=1] , then some balance is shown. It looks that there some bug at my_ledger module --- updated: the problem seems to be with the float param. By the way, the call to module plugin was made inside a third column of a split plugin. |

Move perm plugin from mods to BRANCH-1-9 and add a way to have not just "if" but "if/else"
Perm plugin is very useful and works well. It is very similar to the group plugin. It weighs just a few k and I see no advantage of putting in mods. http://mods.tikiwiki.org/details.php?type=wikiplugins&mod=perm Similar to group plugin, we need "if/else" concept: http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?itemId=994 So we could do things like this in wiki pages: if tiki_p_edit "please click here to edit" else "please click here to login" Also, group plugin is still in mods, but already in main code base so it should be cleaned out of mods. |

phpfreechat not installing from mods.tw.o and not working when installed from svn mods
http://mods.tikiwiki.org/details.php?type=lib&mod=phpfreechat the fact is that even if installing by hand, the phpfreechat plugin doesn't work for me, neither on tiki 2.x (with ajax enabled, etc., cleared browser and tiki caches, etc.: just says: "chat loading, please wait, and nothing happens), nor in tiki 3beta4 (it's even not listed in the list of plugin to enable/disable) It's a pity that we can't provide a functional chat for tiki 2.x or tiki3.x sites... (minichat module for tiki3 was getting close to functional, but since it doesn't provide the date stamp nor a way to read the log from previous conversations to specific date, it's not being used... see the example of the last TikiFestUK: dimdim, skypechat, + irc chat) |

Plugin configuration tool
I suggest a plugin/mod configuration tool, where Admins can specify the __name of a plugin__ and a __list of parameters__ to be provided to the plugin. There is no way for Administrators to configure plugins. Every incantation of a plugin must specify all needed information. A configuration tool would allow control over all invocations of a plugin, or specifying non-public configuration details. I believe that at present adding configuration options for a plugin requires the plugin to include code for admin pages. This tool would be available for use with any plugin with chooses to look for the passed parameters. For example, a SHOWIMAGE plugin's configuration parameters could specify the default (or mandatory) image source to use, the default image size, and decoration options. By altering the configuration parameters the appearance of all invocations would be changed. |

Plugin poll is not working on doc.tw.o. No way to vote on the box... See it at: [http://doc.tikiwiki.org/PluginPoll] --- Update: weird behavior: I visited today the doc page about it, and it showed ok. Publishing TikiWiki Mods causes " Array to string conversion" and an invalid file to be written
I have a fresh install of 1.9.7 and 1.9.8 on both Fedora Core 5 and Solaris 10, each with the latest Apache 2.2 and PHP 5 version. When I try to Publish or Republish any TikiWiki Mods, I get this in my php log (I have debugging symbols turned on). PHP Notice: Array to string conversion in /opt/wiki/lib/mods/modslib.php on line 151, referer: http://wiki/tiki-mods.php?publishall=1 PHP Notice: Array to string conversion in /opt/wiki/lib/mods/modslib.php on line 152, referer: http://wiki/tiki-mods.php?publishall=1 PHP Notice: Array to string conversion in /opt/wiki/lib/mods/modslib.php on line 153, referer: http://wiki/tiki-mods.php?publishall=1 PHP Warning: implode() [<a href='function.implode'>function.implode</a>]: Bad arguments. in /opt/wiki/lib/mods/modslib.php on line 159, referer: http://wiki/tiki-mods.php?publishall=1 This results in a file beginning with '-rray' being written into mods/Dist and mods/Cache. This file is very hard to remove on these two operating systems, since it keeps tricking the rm command into thinking they are command options even when escaped. This seems to be the result of an Array being passed as part of the argument to modslib->publish $Items argument. The code assumes that it is a purely an array of strings, and when it is not you generate non-fatal errors that cause this problem |

Remove all mods-related code after 18.x (before 19.0) and decide what is date of retirement of mods.tiki.org
--Tiki 18.x no longer needs mods.tiki.org-- It would have been nice to delete mods before 18.0 but it's somewhat late now... Ref: https://tiki.org/forumthread67983 Presumably, we shut down mods.tiki.org in April 2021, at the end of the support period for 15.x? https://doc.tiki.org/Tiki15 |
