Ex.: Because users are being confused.

One setting effecting two features! It should be normal behaviour to see page category without page title.

Show Quick Url not working in IE8 (8.7600.16385)
After a new installation (Hosted by Dreamhost) I discovered that the "show quick url" option when creating a new menu doesn't work in IE8. The link does disappear but the menu doesn't doesn't fold out to the right as it should.

There are no third party programs / add-ons running in this browser.

Note: When creating a new menu in IE8 4 out of 5 times the menu doesn't show up.

Both issues above was tested to work right away in Google Chrome 5.0.375.99...

Show user's real name instead of login in autocomplete selector clears login or email on click
When the "Show user's real name instead of login in autocomplete selector in trackers feature" is on, the selector provides real names or "cleaned/obscured" email addresses to choose from (if use email as username is on).

This is fine, since this is the purpose of this feature.

However, once saved, the next time the item is edited the value shows as the email address, which stays there. But if you click on the field or tab through it it disappears, which is a problem.

Side-by-side translations have usability issues
2 issues:
#The side-by-side translation feature is ugly.
#After

!To reproduce
#Install fresh Tiki15
#Install internationalization profile
#Watch page ''Instructions for the Multilingual Wiki'', see i18n icon
#→click ''Translate''
→Choose a language under "Translate this page to a new language", enter a page title, click ''Create translation''

See ugly side-by-side (see snapshot in attachment). That's __issue 1__

After translation is done, click on ''Full translation''
→ One ends up viewing the english page instead of the new translation page __issue 2__.

But the translated page is well created and the first time it is viewed, it has the info box saying it's new.

since last visit module using bootstrap tabs: add different bg color to active vs non active tabs
This seems to be a regression since Tiki12 LTS at least. (non-bootstrap, I mean)

since last visit module using bootstrap tabs: add different bg color to active vs non active tabs
You can see it reproduced here in dev.t.o in 14.x also, in the corresponding "Since your last visit..." module. All tabs have same whote background, and this makes it less usable to easily distinguish where tab you are at.

Since Your Last Visit wants to show changes from months ago
Frequently here and on tiki.org the Since Your Last Visit module lists all changes since August (for me here at the moment {sign user="jonnybradley" datetime="2020-12-16T16:16:58+00:00"}) which added 10 to 20 seconds to every page load time.

Resetting the "to" date by going to [tiki-calendar.php?todate=0] clears it but when the session runs out it goes back to months ago (and slowness)

Clicking on this link:

Should take me to the comment "This is what I see". But instead the comment "I agree with you Gary " is at the top of the page

since_last_visit on doc.tw.o doesn't link to individual new files but to their gallery
At doc.tw.o I just saw, at the since_last_visit_module, among many other infos, some report of new files being added, like:

# Batch Category Creation - Figure 3 (Batch Category Creation - Figure 3.PNG)
# Batch Category Creation - Figure 1.PNG (Batch Category Creation - Figure 1.PNG)
# Batch Category Creation - Figure 2.PNG (Batch Category Creation - Figure 2.PNG)
# Batch Category Creation - Figure 3.PNG (Batch Category Creation - Figure 3.PNG)

However, those files all link to the same url, which is the gallery url,
http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-list_file_gallery.php?galleryId=2

and not their single url's.
Example:
http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-download_file.php?fileId=126&preview
----

UPDATE: was that an intentional move? I still consider that the former (1.x?) behavior was better from the point of view of usability. {sign user="xavi" datetime="2013-11-17T09:49:01+00:00"}

The since_last_visit_new module display several links for the same discussion making it unusable when a discussion is intensive. It is bad behaviour and hide anything else.

Site Browser Title Twice

Our site's browser title, as set in Administration > General, is shown twice on all pages, like this:

Site close translation handling (translation)
Actually the site close page and message are partially custom, not translatable and use discutable mechanism (URL parameters).

See: https://tiki.org/forumthread77173-Translation-for-tiki-site-close-page-tiki-error_simple-php

And : https://tiki.org/Roundtable-Meeting-2021-07

{img fileId="1560" thumb="box"}

{img fileId="1561" thumb="box"}

---
We need a mechanism to assure:
* Message customisation
* Translation
* ...

Even if everything is down (php and database).
---

We don’t have a lot to do to achieve customisation and translation.
We need to have fields for:
* Retry (refresh ?)
* User
* Password
* Login (button)

I suggest as first step having those field for easy customisation translation (one language). Adding a link to the "page" displayed so it easy to integrate one from a theme.

Site timezone is not respected when using Plugin Convene (time stored as 2 hours before my selection)
Site timezone is not respected when using Plugin Convene

E.g.: site default is UTC-2. You choose your time in the convene plugin, as UTC (even if you have no indication of the timezone, it seems), for instance, and the stored time is shown 2 hours before the time you selected in your choice.

Reproduced using Tiki 13.x here:
https://tiki.org/Admins+Team+Meetings

However, I can't reproduce it in an associated show instance in trunk. Maybe it has something to do with the timezone set in php settings, and not just the setting in Tiki?
I kept the tiki set as "Admin home > General > Date and time > Displayed Time zone: Use site default".

site_title_location should default to "After current page's descriptor"
I see from a fresh Tiki 25.1 install that the "site_title_location" global preference is set to "Before current page's descriptor" by default. This makes no sense from a usability and SEO standpoint. 99% of the time you can't read the page title in your browser tabs because it's obscured by the site title, which makes your 30 open tabs all look identical.

The default should be "After current page's descriptor".

Siteheader ad banner "activate"/"publish" checkboxes emptied by Look & Feel setting change
The first problem (maybe local) is that the ad checkboxes on tiki-admin.php?page=ads tend to not stay checked. Please confirm if this is true for other users.

The bigger problem (on two servers): when I switch the logo from left to right on the Look & Feel admin page, the ad checkboxes on tiki-admin.php?page=ads get emptied. Maybe any update on Look & Feel resets the ad activate and publish checkboxes to empty; I didn't check.

Also, on the ads and banners admin page, only the bottom "Apply" button works, for me.

Site header banner ad configuration worked before it was split off as a separate page, afaik. Maybe a bug was introduced by the move to its own page.

Slides in 21.x: Section about wiki page comments wrongly placed on top of all slide titles
There is a problem in Slides in 21.x: Section about wiki page comments wrongly placed on top of all slide titles, when some setting is on related to comments.

This was not happening in previous LTS versions, with the former slideshow system (that's why I tagged it as regression; untested in 19.x, 20.x, etc).

Reproduced here:
http://xavi-9794-7332.show2.tikiwiki.org/tiki-slideshow.php?page=Tiki+Wiki+CMS+Groupware#s0
u: admin
p: 12345

Just after enabling the pref:
-+wiki_comments_displayed_default+-
and while keeping the default pref: -+wiki_comments_allow_per_page+- Disabled (which is the default setting).

You don't see the comment as Anonymous.
You'll see the comment if you log as admin.

In all cases, comments should NOT be displayed in a Wiki slideshow: https://doc.tiki.org/Slideshow

slideshow fails to work if no plugin slideshow call in wiki page but just automatic link at the page bottom
Slideshow system fails to work if there is no ((doc:PluginSlideshow)) call in wiki page but just automatic link at the page bottom.
It seems as if some library (or something) is missing to allow passing slides forward, because the first slide is shown, and it works to hiughlight bullet points, but when the time to move to the 2nd slide comes, nothing happens and slideshow stays in the first.

If you go to list slides, and attempt to click at any from that list, it seems as if the slideshow systems wants to take you there, but it comes back to the first slide very quickly.

Reproduced in this show2.t.o instance attached to another bug report:
http://xavi-9794-7332.show2.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Tiki%20Wiki%20CMS%20Groupware
u: admin
p: 12345

Once you edit that page, and add a simple call to plugin slideshow inside (no params needed), and tiki caches cleared (just in case), then it works as expected:
{CODE()}
{slideshow}
{CODE}

Slideshow; Content is not displayed the same depending on the browser used (content may be truncated)
Using slideshow on a wiki page in Tiki25 is a different experience depending on your browser.

Here on OSX 13.1
{img fileId="1952" thumb="box"}
{img fileId="1953" thumb="box"}
{img fileId="1954" thumb="box"}

While content is fully displayed in Safari, in the other browsers it is truncated at the bottom due content/font size.

In short, when you have more content than a page can display (height) it is not accessible.

It should be somehow possible to "scroll" or open a second (sub)slide with the missing content.

"print all" from home of wiki structure
When you are on a page of a wiki structure, you can click on the print icon, but you will only print that single page.

The icon and option to "__print this page and all the subpages__" (= in the the sub-structure) right from there (without going through all the clicks at "Wiki > multiprint > select structure > print") would be very welcome, since the base feature to rpint the full structure exists.

From the home of the structure, it would print the full structure (as it can be done with one click from a structure within a Workspace through ((doc:AulaWiki)) mod, or through many clicks as usual, as explained above).

If the user is on a subpage of the structure, that button would print that page and all subpages from the same structure.

Does it make sense?
