/tiki-map.phtml gives 500 Internal Server Error (if no maps configured?)
I only activated the feature and clicked on "Maps" in the menu - that gave me the mentioned 500 Error. |

Cron-job map-generation
The tw.o-maps are mostly out of date - due to a human-bug (messed up longitude and latitude) I live in Somalia since I enter my geographic data on tw.o some months ago. I can understand, that the admins got other things to do than re-generate the maps. And I can't think of any other needed cron job in tw.o, but never the less it would be cool to have some cron-table to execute certain PHP-function (at least I guess map-generation is some kind of PHP-function). |

Failure to get geolocation from searching an address either manually typing address through tracker field location ui or in the backend with params to get address from other tracker field
There is some failure to get geolocation from searching an address either manually typing address through tracker field location ui or in the backend with params to get address from other tracker field. No point selected for that address, even for simple cases that used to work in previous tiki versions. |

Geolocated Map Icons Non Functional In Chrome Browser
Map icons for geolocated wiki pages do not function in Tiki17 when browsing with Google Chrome and Vivaldi. Using this syntax: {CODE(theme="default")}{map controls="controls,search_location,scale,navigation,levels,layers," center="-32.64608860015869,14.315483732934796,3" popupstyle="dialogue" tooltips="y"} !!!List of geolocated pages {LIST()} {filter type="wiki page"} {filter content="y" field=geo_located} {LIST}{CODE} And in properties of wiki page, geolocation is assigned, icons show up well with Mozilla and Edge. While using Google Chrome or lastly Vivaldi (unsupported I know) the map icons are small blue circles, and when clicked on they do not activate link back to wiki page. Show instance is created |

geolocated tracker items not shown in map any more in Profile GeoCMS Maps since 21.x
doing some quick tests with tiki 21.x, I just noticed that geolocated tracker items are not shown in map any more in Profile GeoCMS Maps since 21.x They still show fine in 20.x svn as of today {sign user="xavi" datetime="2020-02-22T13:10:20+00:00"} Some extra tweak is needed in the profile for the feature to work in 21.x? some regression? hth Reproduced here: http://xavi-9794-7275.show2.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Map-of-Tracker-items u: admin p: 12345 (using trunk, since 21.x is not available in the dropdown to reproduce in show2.t.o) index rebuilt already See for instance this tracker item which is geolocated, http://xavi-9794-7275.show2.tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?itemId=1&from=Map-of-Tracker-items and all of them are displayed as usual when applying this "GeoCMS Maps 18" profile in previous tiki versions. --- Still present this issue with trunk updated by git as of today {sign user="xavi" datetime="2020-07-26T18:10:00+00:00"} |

image selection for a tracker icon field not updating WHEN USING FIREFOX and the tracker_legacy_insert pref is set on
For POI map items ie a tracker item with an Icon field, the icon image is no longer updating WHEN USING FIREFOX and the tracker_legacy_insert pref is enabled – in the tracker item edit screen a new/different icon image can be selected from the available options in the file gallery, and this is correctly shown just after selection but when the item is saved the icon reverts to the previous image. Using Chrome it is all OK - not checked other browsers yet Show instance with tracker setup: http://eromneg-10122-5815.show.tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_tracker.php?trackerId=1 admin admin12345 UPDATE: OK – I’ve narrowed down the issue further I’m using FF44.0.1 so no difference there, but because my test site has evolved from much earlier versions it has got a whole range of tracker prefs that have been set over the years (or have arrived during upgrades to give backwards compatibility) I’ve spent a bit of time aligning the show instance to what my test site uses and the key difference is the tracker_legacy_insert pref which is set in the Tracker Control Panel. With this set the issue occurs in the show instance with FF but is OK in Chrome |

Google Maps integration is an excellent feature. It would be helpful to provide [http://openlayers.org/|OpenLayers] as as an alternative. |

format error in geolocation parameters, in some local conventions
French (at least) conventions use commas as decimal separator. This causes errors in parsing parameters when passing geolocation coordinates (Maps don't center on the good coordinates). |

Map Fails to Display "Location" Tracker Item
A Map is created to display tracker items using "Location" type. But the map will never display those items. Using this syntax to display map with tracker item to display: {CODE(theme="default")}{MAP(scope="Center" controls="controls,search_location,scale,navigation,levels,layers," center="-32.64608860015869,14.315483732934796,2" popupstyle="dialogue" tooltips="y")} {searchlayer tracker_field_residence="y"} {MAP}{CODE} Please see show instance. |

New warning/error with tracker tabular import when there is a tracker field location

OpenLayers Wont Pin in Correct Location
In safari, when placing a pin on a map, the pin appears in a diffrent location from where the pin is placed. Steps to reproduce. Plugin List and ListExecute displays code when field is a tracker item title (link)
Once a tracker field is set as title, it turns to be a link to the tracker item. In certain (but several) condition when using a plugin List, ListExecute or the plugin Map this field(link) will be inserted into another link and then the display will be broken and it will show code instead of item link. (a link within a link is bad) Check the instance. First problem: There is nothing that can tells you from where come the issue and only after several experience and Jonny’s help we found out what it was. Anyone else (and new comers) won't have any idea why the display is broken. Second problem: __It is a pain !__ Workaround are messy; you have to duplicate fields (Name and Title), title has to be set to a different field (like Id) and start confusion or worst, previous setting that were ok turn to be broken. Would it be possible to have some kind of strip there ? (if the value is already a link, strip <a ...). There is a smarty function for that "Strip" couldn't it be easily set ? |

PluginMap - when locator icon is clicked the popup is underneath the map
When using PluginMap to show geo-located tracker items, when a location pointer icon is clicked the popup is underneath the map instead of on top of it. Here are the steps to recreate: # Create a tracker item with a location field # Add location information to the tracker item # Use the following tiki syntax in a page (tracker id is assumed to be 1): {CODE(colors="tiki")} {MAP(scope="center" controls="controls, layers, levels, scale, navigation" popupstyle="dialog" width="300" height="300" center="-73.9590113593426,40.792087037500615,12" )} {searchlayer tracker_id="1" type="trackeritem"} {MAP} {CODE} |

Remove the last traces of Google Maps specific information and code
1- Deal with tiki-gmap_usermap.php and templates/tiki-gmap_usermap.tpl in a way that takes into account upgraders via FTP 2- Review any gmap-specific wishes to see if anything is still useful, and thus, move to general map category and for the rest, close with "won't fix" or "outdated" 3- Review all instances of gmap and googlemap in the code base |
