jQuery Sortable Tables feature warning is visible when using wiki fancy table
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"}
On a Tiki27 where I don't use jQuery sortable tables.
I set a fancytable wikiplugin to display 2 columns side by side.
One contain a diagram (wiki plugin image) the second some text.

Under the fancytable the following warning is displayed even for anonymous:
"The jQuery Sortable Tables feature must be activated for the sort feature to work."

'Activity Rules' page needs admin navigation/layout and links to documentation
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"}
'Activity Rules', with the URL /tiki-managestream-list is an admin page but doesn't have the standard admin interface, side menu, etc. Also, it has no information on its purpose and no links to documentation (https://doc.tiki.org/PluginActivityStream apparently).

Probably when these details are addressed, the Activity Stream feature should be tested to check if it still works ok, etc.

'Toggle sections' on tiki-objectpermissions.php isn't working
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"}
The "Toggle sections" icon on tiki-objectpermissions.php, which is used to show or hide the feature section columns, isn't working in master currently. I checked in my local master and at https://trunkthemes.tiki.org/tiki-objectpermissions.php. Clicking the icon just causes a spinning loading icon.

Accessibility; Adding accessibility tools to Tiki
Site accessibility is a very strong argument to implement Tiki in governmental or public funded project.

The following is a bit overdoing it but look convincing.
{img fileId="1951" thumb="box"}

Having simply contrast and font size tool should be enough.

May be there is an open source project that can be integrated via composer ?

Like we have for PluginTrackerlist or PluginTrackerfilter there is param showinitials to filter and display alphabetical filters. Can we do the same with PluginList?

Add alerts and limits to the duration field
I test the field duration on nextdev and suggest some improvements.

It is really nice and complete however came to me 2 fears when it will be under the hand of end of users (not a Tiki/Techie user).

User will forget it.
Imagine having it running on a mobile device for a training sessions or as employee workclock. People will forget it is running quite easily.

In the tracker field options I suggest we add (simple) alerts parameters:
* enable alert (this duration is running)
* every 15mn, 30mn, hours, 5hours, days... (more seems to me too much, but...)

I suggest also we add a limit (after what we stop the timer)
* After [ ''value'' ] [mn,hours,days] stop the timer (a notification will be displayed)
* Send a mail notification
** to the admin
** to the user/owner of the item
** to this mailbox [''value'' ]

Adding a group selector for the visibility of the wikiactions page_actions button at the top of the wiki pages
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"}
In the early days when Tiki Wiki was primarily a Wiki tool, keeping the **wikiactions** page actions button constantly visible at the top of Wiki pages made sense.

However, now this button often obstructs the user experience, drawing attention away from content with its contrasting color, even when only one or two actions are available.

While outlining the button (as discussed in the Matrix chat) would be a quick improvement.

I also propose we also enhance the admin settings at `tiki-admin.php?page=wiki#contentadmin_wiki-1`. Adding a __group selector__ under "Wiki top line location" would allow admins to choose which user groups see the page_actions button.

Feetags; add tags management tools
Admins or Moderators should be able to manage (edit and delete) tags from the web interface.

https://tiki.org/forumthread67133

I guess we have similar tools/page we can reuse.

Admin interface, UX/UI; Admin interface should use all the available width to improve usability
This was tested on Tiki26 using Classic Bootstrap layout with Unified Admin Backend enable, fixed width enabled and a value for "Layout width" (1920px) wider than the available space in the admin display for a screen width.

IE: The site don't use a left column and is designed to use most, but not all, of the width available but in the admin view we have a 268px aside dropdown set.

In that case the footer goes under the Unified Admin Back-end col.

Admin Interface; After applying changes from an admin tab, the screen should back to the same tab that was displayed
On a control panel I navigate to a specific tab.
I do some change and apply. The page reload and display the first tab of the page, not the tab I was looking at.

This is wrong, I should be seeing what I was seeing before I submit the changes.

Admin Modules: UI broken - buttons missing and tab duplication (template issue?)
In a new 24.x vcs master installation the tiki-admin_modules.php UI is broken.
The UI is kind of cut-off below the module zone tabs and there is no button to add new modules. The interface seems to have been reorganised, but not finalised yet.

When activating and deactivating (playing around) the tabs / no tabs buttons the button appears.
--I will try to confirm with show.tiki.org-- confirmed
There seems to be a conflict with two variants of the tab toggle (tab view / no tabs) and and a duplication of the admin module tabs. See attached screenshots.

I assume a template issue {sign user="Torsten" datetime="2021-12-06T07:09:50+00:00"}

Admin pages layout selector has no effect in master
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"}
The admin pages layout preference selection doesn't seem to have any effect in master. I selected an admin theme first (which is a prerequisite) and set the admin layout pref but it isn't used. As a check, I set that layout as the global pref, and it does get used for the whole site. I'll submit a bug report.

I guess with the new unified admin backend, it doesn't matter much what the layout choice is because of how the content layout is imposed by the UAB CSS, etc. or whatever replaces that, but the pref could have some role with UAB. Anyway, it should probably be fixed for Tiki sites that don't use UAB. I didn't check earlier Tiki versions yet.

Admin should be able to impose 2 factor authentication to users
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"}
On Tiki an admin can enable "Allow users to use 2FA" in the log-ion area /tiki-admin.php?page=login#Users Management

https://doc.tiki.org/Two-factor-authentication

But this step is not enough as __each user has to go individually__ to its user preferences (replace userId by an existing one) /tiki-user_preferences.php?userId=3#contentmytiki_user_preference-4 and enable it. So it is totally a user choice to use or not 2FA.

At /login or /tiki-login_scr.php?twoFactorForm if the user tries to login without a code pin he will simply login with his username and password.

We can consider very common for an admin to set __and impose 2FA__ for login into a site.
We should have an option to make it mandatory including links and/or email notification to allow users to set their Pin Code, etc.

In a previous version Tiki18 - 21 the feature was imposed to the users as when this feature was enabled, the user was forced to enter a code received by email. May be we could have both options as it was way much simpler and user friendly (easier).

Admin theme is used for whole site; theme-switch module doesn't work
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"}
Currently in master ([https://gitlab.com/tikiwiki/tiki/-/commit/fa7d91ee2af2f24cc5a4c6ffecb0438dfdd138cb] - March 4) the admin option for site theme has no effect. Instead, the admin theme is used for the whole site. Because the global theme can't be set, the theme-switch module also has no effect.

I would say this is a release blocker, as it's essential to be able to set the site theme (and not just by using the admin theme option).

Admin, preferences; The "default" status for the GUI for the list plugin is wrong
On the control panels, Editing, Plugins, right after installation, the GUI for the list plugin for several options and preferences has a "turn back" icon, "Reset to default value". (wrong as this is the default - thing was changed)

While it visually do the job (it reset the field or selector value) on Apply (Save) things are back to what they were.
Unchecking manually a checkbox seems to work.

Check the instance.

Admin, Rebuild-Index; We should have a link for this in the admin-navbar
On Tiki24 to rebuild the unify index you need to go to the Search feature page and click on the rebuild-index button.
It is a commonly used function and it should be available from the admin-navbar on the top of the admin dashboard/area.

Adminstration interface, Search preferences; Results from search buried important (main) options and displayed too many warning (noisy and scary)
On a Tiki26 I searched for "payments" and this is the results displayed.

The feature payment is not yet activated (default).
Enabling the payment feature (Payment payment, features advanced) is the first step and a quite important step in the process (if not enabled, all the rest is not relevant)
However this preference is not the top result but buried somewhere in the middle of the results.

This is one example and I guess there may be worst case.

My results should have displayed the __Payment payment, features advanced__ checkbox at the top of the results.

---

Many too big "un-needed" warning are displayed and this added to the preference type (advanced in my screenshot) add confusion to the already dense Tiki preferences and admin options.

I mean, what is good for a big warning about "Exchange rate for types of credit to use" if the user won't use "Tiki user credits" and even "Payment" ?
If there were one warning from time to time on a page it would look important and relevant.
As there are too many warning displayed, it is just noise and people tend to skip them.

I'm not sure what should be the right solution, but I'd like something like a more discreet warning, the yellow warning icon - Requirements not met, and ONLY upon user action (mouseover, click, tooltip reveal, etc) to see the complete message. That way, the user is not submerged with warnings he doesn't need, and only when he need to see the verbose got the exact warning.
