When displaying diff and you have some non-ascii characters in page content, e.g. "é" in French language or others, the characters do not show up in the diff output anymore. It happens when viewing diff in page history and also in the email notifications when you watch a page. The rest of the page source displays them though so it is only happening in the diff part.
