Feature to discuss wiki pages in forums sends a notification email (user watches) each time the use clicks at the button 'Start discussion' (even if the discussion and thread was already started by someone else previously)

Login as user1 and click at access discussion of the homepage (link above bottom bar). Registered users (through group watches) will receive an email as if you started the thread. But thread was started already, and you didn't post anything else to trigger a new email sent.

Workspaces (from ((doc:Mod AulaWiki)) are half broken on 1.10 since months ago.
Any action which is related to workspce calendar module gives fatal error (blank screen). Adding resources to workspaces also fails:

This is interesting.

However, I may not want this behavior if I am building my wiki pages from the menu 1- create menu and 2 click on it to create page and thus testing the link.

This new feature (which wasn't there before) creates a new behavior that maybe should be the default. But it should be possible to turn it off.

AFAICT, feature_redirect_on_error (in tiki-admin.php?page=features) doesn't seem to do anything in 1.9 or 1.10 Redirect on error seems to always be on.

Module featured links is not working for me.
I enabled the feature in a 1.10 svn site (code from may 2008). I created this new link:

After activating Ajax at features -> Ajax systems tells successful activation. After reloading features page Ajax is deactivated again.

Using the latest Tiki 14.x zip file, creating pages using the Norwegian characters æøå fails, when typing in the name and using the double parenthesis syntax.
The page saves ok and displays the ? - mark.
Click to create the page. All seems well.
Save the page.. leads to page not found.

On a second brand new Tiki22 created from scratch (a week ago) on my local I'm improving a previous Tiki21 site adding a new page with a customSearch.

This is a wiki page with a pluginList and 2 smarty templates (searchresults.tpl and search.tpl)
I don’t use lastmodif or sort by date on any of those. During my first work sessions everything was ok.

Somewhere around the end of it I enable the "Search" checkbox on one field at "trackerfields4" (tracker4)
Back to the same a day later and I have an error about lastmodif poping up.

Field lastModif does not exist in the current index. If this is a tracker field, the proper syntax is tracker_field_lastModif.

__If I disable the search on this field (uncheck the search checkbox), delete cookies, rebuild index, refresh and login again the error is gone.

This bug is seen by our IE 8 clients. We are running Tiki 6.2 (clean install), on a Windows 2003 Server, Apache 2.2.16 w SSL, PHP 5.3.3, remote MySQL 5 database.

When our users are editing in the CKEditor WYSIWYG and try the File option in the toolbar there is a Javascript error for lib/jquery_tiki/tiki-jquery.js at line 808 char 4. What is happening after the error is thrown is that no new window is opened (as expected) but the File selection fields are now under the WYSIWYG Editor. This wouldnt be an issue, but there is no OK button to select the file so our users can not like to a file in the File Gallery.

If I try using the File option in FF then it opens a new window and I can select the file just fine.

Since IE is our corp standard our users need to be able to add files using that browser. Also, they had no problem in Tiki 5.x but that was a different WYSIWYG system.

Getting file corruption on display/download.

We are getting file corruption in the file gallery. The first byte is getting prepended with a "0a" newline character and the last byte is getting dropped. This is happening on display/download, not upload. We have verified by manually copying uploaded files off the server and the stored files have no corruption.

I upgraded to 18.0 and got this error, then I upgraded to 18.1 and still got this error.

I erase the website, built a new database, and I still get this error.

When I try to upload a file to file gallery

Since some weeks (maybe a couple of months?) file galleries return db error when users logs in tiki. (Using updated 1.10)

FYI: friendship is toggled off as feature.

Yesterday I upgraded from 4.3 to 5.2, and everytying seemed to go ok (all upgrade operations were executed successfully). However, every time I try to edit or create a file gallery I get the same error message, which seems to be related to a missing field (show_lastDownload) in the tiki_file_galleries table.

I copy below one of such errors. Please, note that, according to the community forums [http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?comments_parentId=38578&topics_offset=2&topics_sort_mode=lastPost_desc&forumId=6|this issue was already reported for a 4.3 to 5.1 upgrade].

I think that a) somebody should check the upgrade for a possible bug, and if possible b) find a way to solve this issue for sites running tiki 5.x with this feature broken.

Was getting the following error in my CGI Log when I tried to display the File Galleries in Tiki 11.0:

I recalled having this problem a few times after an upgrade all the way back to version 8. The way I have fixed it is simply to go into templates/tiki-list_file_gallery.tpl and remove the expression {quotabar length='100' value=$smarty.capture.use}. Once I do that and upload the modified file, I'm able to display my file galleries. Don't know if that will work for everyone, but it has worked for me.

Why is there a problem with quotabar? That's a file that I notice won't upload when I use Filezilla to upload the files for a new installation, so maybe that's the source of the problem. It seems to me that this issue has been around for several versions now. Can someone please fix it? Thanks in advance.

Users in groups without the "tiki_p_admin_file_galleries" group permission set cannot see any file galleries in the "List Galleries" page, even if "tiki_p_list_file_galleries" (or all file gallery permissions) are switched on for the group and/or the File Gallery.

However, the user can still access the gallery directly if they know the exact URL, eg:
http://site.com/wiki/tiki-list_file_gallery.php?galleryId=2

The "List Galleries" page loads, but the list of galleries shows only "No records found". If "tiki_p_admin_file_galleries" is enabled, all permitted galleries appear in the list.

The file templates/file_gallery_slideshow.tpl requires lib/slideshow/slideshow.rc1.packed.js but the latter file is missing, as is the "icons" directory which it requires.

On a related note, the directory lib/slideshow now contains directories css and js but no instructions on their use.

File galleries have an edit setting that limits the number of file versions that are held as 'archive' but this limit does not seem to be respected in T27.x as the number of archived files exceeds this value.

The backlinks in the file gallery don't appear to work. At lest they do do nothing with my install and configuration.

Not really sure how to proceed, but just to let you know. It could have been a very useful feature to me :(

Happy to give more info if you like. Backlinks for wiki pages seems to be working well. 12 LTS installed. Latest version (installed just over a week ago)

Chose a non-default workspace:

__Very low usability!__

I recently upgraded our tiki install to version 2. Most things survived the upgrade, however the most obvious thing that was broken is the file galleries feature.

All links to files previously in the gallery still work correctly, however when I select the option to list galleries, none of the existing galleries are displayed. It just shows "No records found"

Looking in the database, all files and galleries are there.

When i attempt to upload a new file, I am still given the option to select a file gallery (all gallery names are still shown). When I select the appropriate options and confirm the upload I can link to it as usual but it does not appear when I select to browse the gallery.

The code for the file gallery handler has a default parent gallery of -1. This causes the features not to work. It should probably be set to 1.
