It refresh the page and I lost my work.

At tiki-admin_notifications.php if I select "User" for destination I got an error that the selected user doesn’t have an email. Which is wrong.

In a new post in the t.o forums I tried to set a plugin img using the help icon;

#Uploading an image at t.o didn’t work (cross error on elfinder)
#Using an image anywhere on internet didn’t work the plugin wasn't saved on the post
#Writing the plugin syntax (manual) was saved but the result is a broken image and a correct image (image 1 on 2).

With elFinder enabled attaching as file to a tracker items doesn't work and fails silently (but sometimes you get "File #1550620800 missing (was attached to trackerfield "picture" on item example title".

Seems ok (but ugly) without elFinder.

Reproduced on https://trunkdev.tiki.org/tracker10 - can't find nextdev to try it on 30.x (well, dev.tiki.org live site is already on 30.x {sign user="luci" datetime="2026-07-10T10:42:03+00:00"}) but it also fails on my locals.

--It seems the function -+addFile+- is no longer being called and I suspect {mr id=7598} may have been involved...-- correction, {mr id=6530} seems more likely (so it's been broken for over a year?) - maybe not either of these then...

talking about tiki-adminusers.php

Just recently tere was a new dialogue added to apply users. Today a popup opens and you can choose respectively multiselect groups to apply the users to or to remove users from.

I could not really test this good looking feature if it works spot on, or is tere would appear objections, because on save the user is not applied to the group - the setting is just ignored.

So on a site already having this update, I have to apply users to groups from tiki-admingroups.php tab 'members', which is a workaround, but not a good UX for te released system (thus a blocker).

I will look into it for a more detailed description lateron and try to find out who committed tis. Anyway, it would be nice, if someone of the coders could check and maybe fix ... I recon, that only a very little bit is missing.

There seems to be a button broken in tiki-admin_users.php, after changing the users's password, the confirmation screen appears and the "confirm" button does nothing.

Tested in three different installs in 5.3, including after svn up.
Tested in FF and IE8.

Clicking "Create" button brings up pop-up which is lower z-index and thus unclickable than the grayed overlay. Clicking anything closes it again. Unable to create new tracker manually. Seen in FF.

We recently upgraded from Tiki-4.X to Tiki-5.X. We are running Tiki-5.3.

There seems to be a bug when trying to modify a user under the administration page (tiki-adminusers.php). When trying to click on a user, one is asked to confirm (which is a new workflow) and then taken to the Edit User page. However, when one tries to modify something (e.g. password, email address), you are asked to confirm again, but it never completes.

Here is a set of detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
# Go to admin users (tiki-adminusers.php)
# Click on user "demo"
# Click "Click here to confirm your action"
# Change email address from demo@demo.com to demo@demo.org
# Click "Save"
# Click "Click here to confirm your action"
* Nothing happens. The page address is "tiki-adminusers.php#", but it never changes from the confirm action page. "Go Back" does not work, but "Return to Home Page" does.

Cannot upload images to file galleries on tiki.org anymore?

Wanted to upload simple little png screenshot but got:

Tried both the elFinder UI
and https://tiki.org/tiki-upload_file.php too

Under the uploaded preview thumbnail there appears also this message:
File upload failed: Forbidden

Ah, it seems only when I rename the screenshot file to something __really really short__ it works then:
__renamed Screenshot_2018-07-12 Roundtable Meeting 2018 07.png to Screenshot_2018-07-12.png__

The name should not be limited to such a low number of characters, should it? If yes, then it should state clearly before uploading that the file name has a limit to not confuse users...

Please advise me on how to create a nice tracker comment section as it is here for this tracker. The way I used to do it in 6.x is not working in 18.3

under some config it shows a tabs with the number of comments, but when clicking the tab it is empty

tiki_tracker_comments got moved to tiki_comments
and the old interface
$trklib->replace_item_comment etc
got removed

anyway, the new way is fine with me (seems like an improvement to me), just would you give me a pointer how to do it?

The Tiki default captcha image for anonymous to register, post a comment, etc doesn’t displays numbers anymore forbidding actions to be completed.

At tiki-admin.php?page=login admin can set "CAPTCHA questions and answers".

A question with a single answer.
If I use -+1,3,5,7,?= :9+- it will work.

If I use a text string like -+What is the capital of France ? :Paris+- it won't work as it was previously.

ad page only shows first 25 pages

If you want to ad multiple pages to a category and they are outside those 25 pages it is posible to search them with filter but you will need to search those pages one by one to ad them.

Seems filter part of page name gives 0 results.

Behavior: Regardless of site permissions (Admin or Anonymous), an attempt to list Objects belonging to specific Category returns no Objects. This happens both in the Admin interface (category management and listing) and on page level (listing pages belonging to a category via wiki plugin).
The only place that correctly shows object categories is the interface where objects can be assigned/reassigned to a different category.

Expectation: seeing a list of Objects that were previously assigned to a specific Category like it was possible in version 26.

This behavior was observed after performing a full upgrade of existing website from version 26 to 27 (database was successfully migrated to v27).

Assigning tiki_p_download_files to Anonymous via category permissions on a file gallery doesn't work any more (worked in 18.x).

Please help since we have invested much time and effort in this project, believing Tiki could filter rightly wiki pages based on perms, and since I cannot find a workaround.

When not logged in, Some wiki pages are shown, and Some others Not, while they all have exactly the same set up. They all have been categorized only in "Public Content" category which is set to Show wikis to Anonymous users, while Global perms are set to not show them to anonymous.

At this moment we have two identical wiki pages as setup is concerned:

which doesn´t show to Anonymous users (and should do it)

and

which shows well.
Note that at the botton of this page, in the listing of pages related to the category "Contenido Público" (which is the translation of "Public content"), the page "The Esential Function And Life's Purpose" (wich is the translation of "La Función Esencial y El Propósito de Vida") that is the page 1)... Then if you click on it, it will not show presenting you with the login invitation, allthough is shown in the list as categorized "Public Content".

Other extraneous behavior is that when when you use the Plugin Toc to show the structure, only shows Some wikis on some structures, and on some other structures doesn´t show any wiki.

Fixes tried:

Have tried the opposite: allowing everything to be shown to Anonymous, and then restrict on pages that should be hidden with a "invisible" category with perms tiki_p_view OFF for anonymous group.

And it didn´t work since - again - for Some wikis worked, and for some others not. Even if they are identical.


Using:
Tiki 6.1 fresh code install, on past 6.0 db updated to 6.1.

If the default install, feature_multilingual is disabled since r11761. Nevertheless, change_language (Users can change site language) is still enabled by default.
Since r17625, controlling change_language is dependent on having feature_multilingual enabled.

This creates confusion, like luciash wondering where change_language was today. It's abnormal you have to enable a feature to disable another feature.

When running the upgrade using tiki-install.php to upgrade from 2.1 to 5 33 database errors are reported. Several of these are "Unknown column 'feature_check' in 'field list'" errors.


During an upgrade, it is normal to have SQL failures resulting with Table already exists messages.

When creating a tracker (see the attached MS Word document "Tracker - Attachment Field Type Bug.doc"), choosing the "attachment" field type results in the form displaying the directions/description for the "text area" field type. This mismatch occurs upon first creating the "attachment" field. Once this field is saved, the user can re-open it for editing, and then the correct description (describes parameters, etc.) for the "attachment" field type is finally displayed.
