This bug is seen by our IE 8 clients. We are running Tiki 6.2 (clean install), on a Windows 2003 Server, Apache 2.2.16 w SSL, PHP 5.3.3, remote MySQL 5 database.

When our users are editing in the CKEditor WYSIWYG and try the File option in the toolbar there is a Javascript error for lib/jquery_tiki/tiki-jquery.js at line 808 char 4. What is happening after the error is thrown is that no new window is opened (as expected) but the File selection fields are now under the WYSIWYG Editor. This wouldnt be an issue, but there is no OK button to select the file so our users can not like to a file in the File Gallery.

If I try using the File option in FF then it opens a new window and I can select the file just fine.

Since IE is our corp standard our users need to be able to add files using that browser. Also, they had no problem in Tiki 5.x but that was a different WYSIWYG system.

Getting file corruption on display/download.

We are getting file corruption in the file gallery. The first byte is getting prepended with a "0a" newline character and the last byte is getting dropped. This is happening on display/download, not upload. We have verified by manually copying uploaded files off the server and the stored files have no corruption.

Sometime between Sept. 4 and 25, hits on files (that is, the counter on file downloads) stopped working at https://themes.tiki.org/file27 . Three files uploaded since Sept. 25 show zero hits, even though I've downloaded each of them at least once to check the downloading, etc., both logged in as admin and not logged in.

My localhost branch 16 also shows this problem.

I upgraded to 18.0 and got this error, then I upgraded to 18.1 and still got this error.

I erase the website, built a new database, and I still get this error.

If i navigate as default user to an existing file gallery, select a file, open it's file informations (Get Info) and choose "Edit properties" i do have the option to re-upload a file from disk.

I assume this should upload a new file and replace the existing one. It should as well keep the existing ID.

For the default user i do get a blank page after pressing save, and the apache error log shows the following

I don't get this error with my admin user account.

Version 18.2

I have configured
* "File Galleries" -> "Listings" -> "ID" to "Show as column"

If i open of the File Gallery i do see the column ID only in "list" view, but not in the "Finder" view.


Current behavior:
* ID column is not shown in all possible views

Expected behavior:
* Show configured column if view-mode supports it

I have configured 'File Galleries' that the 'default view' is set to 'List' and applied this setting

If i now select 'File Galleries' -> 'List galleries' i do see in fact the selected list view.
If i then navigate into a shown folder the view switches automatically to the Finder view.

I assume this is not the expected behavior of a configured default view or is it?

By default, creating a file gallery marks it as locked (the "Gallery is unlocked." checkbox is unckecked and the public property is disabled). This causes users other than the gallery's owner to be unable to upload files to galleries by default, even if they have tiki_p_upload_files on the relevant gallery.

There are several ways to see the problem:
# An object should not be created locked by default.
# The description of tiki_p_upload_files, "Can upload files", is misleading as it does not mention locking.

This can be considered as 2 different problems, but it would be prioritary to fix at least one, no matter which.



I think that by default "Gallery is unlocked" should be checked, but changing such a default would be dangerous if users relying on the current behavior don't realise the change. So I think my recommendation would be to replace the current checkbox with 2 radio boxes (labelled something like "Only owner can upload files" or "All users with permission can upload files"), with none selected by default.

Since some weeks (maybe a couple of months?) file galleries return db error when users logs in tiki. (Using updated 1.10)

If you try as anonymous, or as newly created plain registered users (try with user/pass: prova/prova ), everything is shown fine.

FYI: friendship is toggled off as feature.

Yesterday I upgraded from 4.3 to 5.2, and everytying seemed to go ok (all upgrade operations were executed successfully). However, every time I try to edit or create a file gallery I get the same error message, which seems to be related to a missing field (show_lastDownload) in the tiki_file_galleries table.

I copy below one of such errors. Please, note that, according to the community forums [http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?comments_parentId=38578&topics_offset=2&topics_sort_mode=lastPost_desc&forumId=6|this issue was already reported for a 4.3 to 5.1 upgrade].

I think that a) somebody should check the upgrade for a possible bug, and if possible b) find a way to solve this issue for sites running tiki 5.x with this feature broken.

Was getting the following error in my CGI Log when I tried to display the File Galleries in Tiki 11.0:

I recalled having this problem a few times after an upgrade all the way back to version 8. The way I have fixed it is simply to go into templates/tiki-list_file_gallery.tpl and remove the expression {quotabar length='100' value=$smarty.capture.use}. Once I do that and upload the modified file, I'm able to display my file galleries. Don't know if that will work for everyone, but it has worked for me.

Why is there a problem with quotabar? That's a file that I notice won't upload when I use Filezilla to upload the files for a new installation, so maybe that's the source of the problem. It seems to me that this issue has been around for several versions now. Can someone please fix it? Thanks in advance.

Users in groups without the "tiki_p_admin_file_galleries" group permission set cannot see any file galleries in the "List Galleries" page, even if "tiki_p_list_file_galleries" (or all file gallery permissions) are switched on for the group and/or the File Gallery.

However, the user can still access the gallery directly if they know the exact URL, eg:

The "List Galleries" page loads, but the list of galleries shows only "No records found". If "tiki_p_admin_file_galleries" is enabled, all permitted galleries appear in the list.

The file templates/file_gallery_slideshow.tpl requires lib/slideshow/slideshow.rc1.packed.js but the latter file is missing, as is the "icons" directory which it requires.

On a related note, the directory lib/slideshow now contains directories css and js but no instructions on their use.

After being uploaded it should be possible to categorise ALL files of a Gallery or to select several and categorise them with 1 or 2 clicks.

You can categorise a gallery BUT it will not apply the category change to the inner files of the gallery.
When you are in the gallery you can view the files in the gallery and can select several files to move them, delete them, etc but not to categorise them. This is really missing (after moving image gallery or reorganising a Tiki) as you have to edit one by one the file properties and categorise it.

On the Category Admin side there is not easy way to do this either. You can categorise a Gallery but not the files in it.
You have to search categorise each object one by one. Not humanly doable....

When producing the report at dev.t.o I tried to upload a screenshot and I had several time an error before on my fourth attempt I could successfully upload a file.

Details on how I proceed to upload an image at dev.
* I click on the img wikiplugin icon on the toolbar of the (this) text area.
* I click on "Browse Gallery", using the side Explorer I navigate to: Bugs report => Bsfez
* I click on the upload icon

There I tried with different options:
"Automatic upload" yes/no
Dragging the file on the upload area, using the "Choose file" button

I forgot to mention that I tried on brand new Tiki25 (new DB) and I couldn't reproduce.

Logged as admin, when you navigate inside the File Galleries you can see the name of the Gallery you are in and close to it a wrench. The wrench tootip let you understand that you will be able to interact with THIS file gallery settings but in reality you are sent to the Admin Control Panel "File Galleries".

This is quite confusing for new Admins.

File galleries have a useful feature: You can store more versions of a file than one. That allows for images to be updated with higher resolution ones etc.

When you browse a file gallery, the wrench icon gives you access to the other archived versions of the file. However, when you access the file gallery by the ID of a specific file (which doesn't change when you upload new versions!), then the wrench icon lists Archive, but does NOT give access to any older, archived versions. Thus, the Archive feature cannot be used (at all) when accessing the file gallery by file ID...

there is no simple "sort by" when you view a gallery (e.g. browse mode). you always have to go into the gallery config and change it there, that is very unintuitive.

when listing a gallery via tiki-list_file_gallery.php?page=fgal&galleryId=<GALLERYID>, there should be a way to disable the gallery tree on the left. I have the same gallery tree in the left tiki bar, so I have it twice on the page, when working in the file galleries.

I somehow miss a simple display of image dimensions when a gallery entry is an image; maybe we should have some third gallery type besides podcast audio and video for image, to show additional properties for those. finding those hidden in the additional EXIF data is not a good solution.

It is possible to create several galleries in the root gallery of the file gallery.

It is possible move those galleries into sub-galleries and move everything into other sub-galleries.

It is not possible to move nothing back to the root gallery. In the move dropdown menu the "root" (File Galleries) item is not available.

Should not be restricted.

The "Upload New Version" action item in file galleries is no longer reliable. Clicking it opens a file selection dialog, but if the wrench icon controlling the menu of action items is not clicked, the dialog disappears quietly, without reporting any error. This is not too misleading, since there is no false confirmation.

Can't upload a new version....

In Tiki 6.3, when using the 'Upload New Version' feature in the file gallery with Chromium 11 on Ubuntu 10.04 amd64, the file selection dialog appears, but when a file is chosen, nothing happens.

It appears to be an incompatibility with the browser, as the bug does not exist when using the following browsers/OS:
- Firefox 3.6, Ubuntu 10.04
- Chrome 11, Windows 7
- IE 8, Windows 7

Couldn't find anything on the chromium bug list or tiki bug list.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
