Templates by Category - application to children desired
The application of style templates by category is nice, but it would be nicer if there was an option to have the template apply to all current and future children of the category. |

The popup menus of the left hand menu box are often too far from the item
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"} On many of the default themes, the popup/sub menus of the main menu boxes are too far from the item and can even be hard to see. For example, look at the Jqui theme. Karl |

Theme and Tools for MediaWiki migration
Maybe some of you will think of this as a "marketinhg" thing, but let's face it : for most users on the Web "wiki" is synonym with "MediaWiki-powered sites that look like wikipedia". What I propose is to create the theme and tools to facilitate migration of mediawiki powered sites to tikiwiki the (very) easy way : fill a form during install that points to the Mediawiki database, and extract all the info to automagically populate the Tiki. I'm willing to participate, but I do not feel I have the required knowledge at this moment to be able to do something useful in the coding part : I know little to no PHP or MySQL stuff, I even wasn't able to install Tiki properly here (shame on me). |

Theme Control by object: allow setting trackers also
Right now you can set theme control by many type of objects, but not trackers. For forms to get information from new users, it might be useful to allow using some different and customized theme for them. A possible solution is using wiki pages (which allow theme control by object), and tracker plugins inside; however this does not work for all tracker fields, so the option to set trackers at theme control by object is still desireable (imo) |

Theme Generator: automated production of a custom css style from a photo / logo
You want a Tiki-powered site but none of the bundled themes fit with the look & feel you want for a project? You would like an easy way to generate a style? Me too! I have a (crazy?) idea for a Tiki CSS generator. Before I explain it, please visit the StrangeBanana: http://www.strangebanana.com/ Ideal end result would be: 1- submit logo or picture, 2- a corresponding CSS is generated, 3- result can be visualized from demo site and 4- then just use the custom css on your site! http://themes.tiki.org/TikiThemeGenerator |

theme GreenValley, field names do not appear in TrackerFilter
Hi, when using the Green Valley theme + Tracker Filter, the names of the fields do not show (sorry, the names are in cyrillic-Ukrainian, just ignore). {img fileId="1014" thumb="y" rel="box[g]"} When you highlight the blank area where the field names should be, they show up. {img fileId="1015" thumb="y" rel="box[g]"} My guess is this maybe a font color issue? I went through all the options in Look & Feel, didn't seem to find anything that worked. br, Mike |

Theme Lumen: hover color for wiki links for not existing wiki pages
In the wiki the color for not yet existing wiki pages as set in lumen.css is #ff4136. The hover color is set to a very light grey #e6e6e6 (line 1361, CSS class a.text-danger:hover) and thus more or less makes the link invisible. I think the links should keep their color. |

theme option custom file disables root custom file
If I create a file -+ themes/css/custom.css +- I can customise my Tiki whatever theme is currently being used. That is fine and very useful. If afterwards I create a file -+ themes/mytheme/css/custom.css +-, the file contents of -+ themes/css/custom.css +- are completely ignored. This is contrary to user's expectations and caused a bug in at least one site I know of. Both file contents should be taken into account. |

Theme Width Option Non-Functional
the latest release 17.1 no longer allows the theme width to be changed by pixel or percentage. Up through 17.0 the theme width could be fixed at a percentage, or a pixel, 85% or 1170px. There are only two options now, full width, or default width. The custom theme width no longer seems to be operational. Please see show instance. Thank you. 5-16-2019 update: this issue has returned in Tiki19 |

Themes don't work on Windows server
Please check this out on other Windows servers, but on my Windows XP WAMP setup, theme information isn't working right. The switch-theme module shows no style being used. Trying to select a theme in the module has no effect. Theme selection works normally with userslib.php CVS version 1.247.2.23, but as of version 1.247.2.24, it's broken. (Comparing the files shows the lines involved. To work with themes I have to be careful about updating userslib.php.) |

Tiki admin look and feel, upload logo should also take care of the size of the logo
When a new admin start setting up his Tiki he will likely put his own logo. However there 0 control on the page or in the code code to limit the logo size but the 1170px width for the first container. So if the admin pick a high resolution logo, it can use the 1170px width. Result is not what is expected. Having the "non power user" user in a situation he have to resize the logo and reupload it is "passé". We should have some logical limit. (optional, changeable, whatever) |

Tiki tabs: direct URL to each tab (Bookmarkable)
Tiki tabs are a nifty feature to make a page cleaner / simpler. For example for trackers, we have: View / Comments / Attachments/ Edit However, I want to be able to link directly to "edit" so someone could be invited to edit their user tracker or add a bug or add a calendar item. I would like something like this: tiki-view_tracker_item.php?trackerId=5&itemId=978#view tiki-view_tracker_item.php?trackerId=5&itemId=978#edit There seems to be the start of something: http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?itemId=980&show=edit |

When using "Theme control" together with a Category, the *.tpl files in templates/styles/{mytheme}/ are not considered for the pages attached to the category.
To see this, create a testcategory and a testpage. Then use "Theme control" and configure a theme having some *.tpl files in templates/styles/{mytheme}/ to be used for the testcategory.
Go to the testpage and it will show in the style. Now try to change one of the *.tpl files. The changes do not take effect.
Note that this is not about emptying the cache.
You can try and use mytheme as main theme and the one you used previously as main theme as "Theme controlled" one. You will now be able to edit the templates/sytles/{mystyle}/ files with the edits being picked up, but now changes to files in the former maintemplate cease to be considered.
