Admin Cannot Delete File Gallery
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"} I can't delete a file gallery. I check the box and then 'with selected, red X'. When I click the red x, it asks me if I'm sure I want to proceed. I say 'yes' and the page reloads but no change is made. How this gallery was created: I created the main gallery as admin and was playing with permissions as a regular logged in user. I found I could not 'create' a new gallery, but tiki DID allow me to duplicate an existing one with the same permissions, etc. Which seems like a bug by itself but I digress. I created the duplicate gallery with my generic user but now the admin user can't delete it. |

Admin Cannot Validate New Users
I had tested this successfully in version 3.3, but now with the upgrade to version 4.0 it does not seem to work. Here are the steps to recreate the issue: 1. Set up a TikiWiki so that users need to be validated by an Admin prior to actually logging in. 2. Register as a new user and get the following message: Your account request has been stored and will be activated by the admin as soon as possible. You'll receive email notification once your account is activated. Please do not attempt to login until you receive the email notification. 3. Log in as 'admin' and navigate to Users page of admin tools. Push the round green checkmark graphic which has a hover display that says "Validate user: junkman". It sends me to this URL: http://www.mywebsite.info/tiki-login_validate.php?user=junkman&pass=n On that page the site returns a simple dialog box that says "Invalid username or password". Who's username & password? The Admin's? At this point it wants to redirect me to the home page and I cannot get these new users validated. |

Admin interface, UX/UI; Admin interface should use all the available width to improve usability
This was tested on Tiki26 using Classic Bootstrap layout with Unified Admin Backend enable, fixed width enabled and a value for "Layout width" (1920px) wider than the available space in the admin display for a screen width. IE: The site don't use a left column and is designed to use most, but not all, of the width available but in the admin view we have a 268px aside dropdown set. In that case the footer goes under the Unified Admin Back-end col. {mediaplayer src="display2025"} |

Keep it optional - even activating something just to see, how you admin it! Is there any reason this has to be this way? |

Admin Modules: UI broken - buttons missing and tab duplication (template issue?)
In a new 24.x vcs master installation the tiki-admin_modules.php UI is broken. The UI is kind of cut-off below the module zone tabs and there is no button to add new modules. The interface seems to have been reorganised, but not finalised yet. When activating and deactivating (playing around) the tabs / no tabs buttons the button appears. --I will try to confirm with show.tiki.org-- confirmed There seems to be a conflict with two variants of the tab toggle (tab view / no tabs) and and a duplication of the admin module tabs. See attached screenshots. I assume a template issue {sign user="Torsten" datetime="2021-12-06T07:09:50+00:00"} |

Admin page not found error is too geeky
When the wrong URL is entered, such as when an admin page URL is miss-typed, instead of a normal 404 error, this is displayed: "No route found. Please see http://dev.tiki.org/URL+Rewriting+Revamp". Many people who see this will have no idea what it means or what to do with it. Can this be replaced with something more user friendly, like "Error: no page found. Please check the spelling of the URL."? Can it be done within the Tiki interface and not be an empty unformatted page with that one line of geeky text? |

Did a fresh CVS checkout and install of BRANCH-1-10 at 1600 UTC on 2007-08-12. After installation and the initial login, there is no admin menu available. This means there is no menu item to get to the admin page to start enabling features. {THUMB(id=33)/} |

Admin should be able to impose 2 factor authentication to users
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"} On Tiki an admin can enable "Allow users to use 2FA" in the log-ion area /tiki-admin.php?page=login#Users Management https://doc.tiki.org/Two-factor-authentication But this step is not enough as __each user has to go individually__ to its user preferences (replace userId by an existing one) /tiki-user_preferences.php?userId=3#contentmytiki_user_preference-4 and enable it. So it is totally a user choice to use or not 2FA. At /login or /tiki-login_scr.php?twoFactorForm if the user tries to login without a code pin he will simply login with his username and password. We can consider very common for an admin to set __and impose 2FA__ for login into a site. We should have an option to make it mandatory including links and/or email notification to allow users to set their Pin Code, etc. In a previous version Tiki18 - 21 the feature was imposed to the users as when this feature was enabled, the user was forced to enter a code received by email. May be we could have both options as it was way much simpler and user friendly (easier). |

Admin sidebar expand/collapse state should be remembered
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"} I haven't tested this carefully, but it seems to me the admin sidebar tends to be collapsed when I first load an admin page. I normally don't collapse the sidebar or leave the admin section with the sidebar collapsed, so this doesn't seem right. If anything, IMO the sidebar's default display should be expanded for best useability, but I realize this is subjective, depending on the size of the admin's screen, etc. so at least the display state should be remembered, if possible. |

{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"} Since r19838, Admin templates uses the WYSIWYG editor even if WYSIWYG was not enabled. The root of this problem is usage of the Smarty wysiwyg variable, which is not always set since r9595. |

admin user + anonymous & registered groups NOT DELETABLE nor CHANGEABLE
After some bad experience (ours and from other users), Rick (Rick99) and I suggest: ^RFE should be that the following username should __not__ be changable or deletable: * __admin__ And the following groupnames should __not__ be changable or deletable: *__registered__ *__anonymous__ Additionally, there should be a usergroup __administrator__ that has ''all'' permissions. This would allow Tiki-admins to easily create new Admin logins, with their own usernames. ^ __added: ensure password reminder works out of the box__ A couple of usability issues could be fixed here. a) remind/reset passwords is off by default - should be on? b) no email is set on admin by the installer this would prevent most newbie lost admin password issues i think. - mlpvolt Last [http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?comments_parentId=24817&topics_threshold=0&topics_offset=0&topics_sort_mode=lastPost_desc&topics_find=&forumId=2|thread about it at tw.o here] Related issue: http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?trackerId=5&itemId=1074 |

admin user doesn't have permission to edit structures by default
After a clean install of r15460 w/ a new database, using the default enabled profile, i enabled structures via the wiki admin area. Even though I was admin, I coulden't create / edit structures until I gave myself permission in the privileges settings. The admin user should probably have most permissions by default, unless there is a particular reason to exclude a permission. |

Admin user: User (edit) link is not accessible when user tracker is used and has tabs
At tiki-adminusers.php (Admin users) there is a popover on the username that display the user information. This popover should never overlap the username link. Admin>Login>User defaults or Admin>Groups: Ability to Subscribe new users to specific Tiki objects
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"} It would be lovely to set some new user defaults at * Admin (home) > Login > User defaults, and/or * Admin > Groups > (Edit a single group) The ability to Subscribe/watch/monitor new users in the site or to that specific group, to specific Tiki objects. Which tiki objects?: I would say, in this order: # specific forums # specific blogs # specific calendars # specific newsletters (ML: we can already subscribe groups to newsletters) # specific wiki pages # specific structures # specific trackers # specific categories # new articles This is specially useful for new users of the site, where they don't know yet how to subscribe to specific areas, etc. Very needed for educational scenarios, but I can see many other places where new users are a bit lost for some time while they learn how to use the Tiki site. I've been looking all over for info about this, but even on the irc channel, no one seems to know what to do about my issue : I'm pretty new to all this, and I enabled spreadsheets in my tikiwiki platform. I can list spreadsheets, create new ones, edit them.
I chose a jquery theme that allows a pretty good display in spreadsheet (I can see multiple selections, all menus are displayed correctly). Only trouble is : none of the menus in the three drop-down menus in the upper-left corner (edit/view/style) seem to operate.
''__Other contextual menus__'' (when right-clicking on the sheet, or in the column labels) ''__work fine__'', but when I click any of the three above-mentionned buttons (edit/view/style), even though the submenus are displayed, ''it doesn't seem like I'm acutally clicking anything'' : nothing happens, and it doesn't "feel" like my clicking is even registered.
I have tried on my current platform which runs on Ubuntu in a Virtual Machine, I've also tried on the online 15.0 demo platform you provide on your website, and another person from your IRC has also tried and we all get the same result.
So I thought maybe you guys could help ?
thank you very much in advance,
Have a wonderfuk day,
Kind regards,
Nicolas AINETO.
