Load tiki-objectpermissions.php .... select only the "User" feature .... noting that "Show permissions for disabled features" is UNchecked .... tiki_p_configure_module does NOT appear UNLESS "Show permissions for disabled features" IS checked.

I think this points to something wrong; I don't know for sure about that; but I do know that tiki-user_assigned_modules.php dies with "You do not have permission to use this feature" apparently due to IT being unable to verify tiki_p_configure_modules which is in fact set for Registered+ groups.

<yohomer> thank you for the note .... my testimony above had "Users can configure modules" checked (sets user_assigned_modules) .... but not "Show module controls" (feature_modulecontrols)

also, with this configuration, "Modules" does appear in the MyTiki menu, but not in tiki-my_tiki.php

selecting the menu option (loading tiki-user_assigned_modules.php) dies with the error above.

Setting feature_modulecontrols ("Show module controls") enables the MyTiki Menus; but this should not be a requirement. It does help to point to the real problem. (I hope)

The field "name" in the tiki_preferences is currently limited to 40 characters.

This may be appropriate for English speakers, as soon as you start developing german-language Wiki Plugins, it becomes awfully little. For Example:

You are trying to write a plugin named

__ inventarisierung_details (this string has 24 characters).

As soon as you try to configure this, it becomes

__ wikiplugininline_inventarisierung_details (this one has 41 characters)

and fails horribly.

On page tiki-stats.php, if the start and end dates for "Most viewed objects in period" are equal or if the start date is AFTER the end date, no error is given and the section disappears when he screen is reloaded after pressing the Filter button.

(I have attached before and after images but can't but work out with the "Choose or upload images" icon on this input field "Description" how to include them. Sorry.)

Since a new show instance will have no history when initially created, I can't immediately demonstrate it here.

However using the show instance from another of the issues I've previously reported, I see the same behaviour ...

When you activate the 'Advanced' settings via the slider at the top, this gets constantly reset to 'Basic', (unless you save the preference in an additional step) so whenever you do something you have to set it back to 'Advanced', which is a nuisance.

The layout of the menu fields was ok in 25.2 but now in 25.3 the url field is under the label field as you can see in the attachment.
Actually since about tiki 20 the label and url field have been made too short making it difficult to read the full text strings as they get covered by the edit widget.

So after I delete a quicktag, I am sent back to page 1, even if I was working on page 6

Try it, you'll see yourself.. perhaps some ideas to come..

tiki-admin.php & Wizards: mouse-over the information, warning, help icons doesn't show the expected content but the label again

Some users may never receive the validation email (ex.: spam filter) and the tiki admin nevers knows their status.

Tiki admin should be able to manually validate an account.

I have noticed that if I browse to tiki-browse_categories.php I have to wait an order of magnitude longer for the page to load compared to any other tiki system page. There are about 400 categories in the database.

If this delay is most visible when viewing tiki-browse_categories.php, is there a possibility that fractions of that delay are spread across the rest of the website depending on how many categories are associated with each wiki page?

If so have I found a bottle-neck that could be optimised?

If you access whatever image gallery, you will see that is not possible to view the thumbnails and images. Have a look.

This function is so important! is the unique motive that image gallery exists..

Working with 4.1 new install, trying to set up a calendar and I'm able to admin the cal just fine and can add events, but when I click on the Calendar link to view calander it returns a blank page. Any advise? Also I have 64mb in php.ini

When I run tiki-check.php on my shared hosting, the following error is displayed:

I also want to let you know that I was not able to register as a new user from my linux laptop (I managed to do it from my android phone, despite several warning messages/worrying errors). I can reproduce the bug at will and also help you debug (I already worked on the project about 20 years ago with Marc).

tiki-contact.php is an "incomplete feature"

To be useful, it would need

A- An optional "from" field for visitor's email (some people leave comments and ask for a reply but they forget to leave their email. A specific field for email would help so people don't forget.

B- An option for the visitor to receive a copy of the message.

C- Subject should be used in title of internal message. Assuming the subject is "Question about forums"

tiki-download_file.php and &display=y incompatible with Firefox 3.0x and PDF files

Attempting to have tiki-download_file.php display a PDF in browser using &display=y parameter... tiki-download_file attempts to open the file as a PHP file, not a PDF. OTher browsers can correctly display the PDF file.

Maybe there is a better way to display PDFs from the File Gallery in-browser-window, but I haven't seen the documentation on how to do it with internal Wiki File Gallery files.

I'm trying to tame articles section and encountered strange problem. My tiki-edit_article.php looks like on this snapshot: http://img716.yfrog.com/i/tikieditarticle.png/ (external link) - so, no pretty formatted forms and - how bad! - no Preview or Save buttons :-(

Other edit pages (e.g. wiki) look fine - only this one is other. I played with permissions, plugins and features - no luck.

According to hints from forum I cleared cache. I'm using The News theme (unchanged). Also CSS and TPL files was untouched. I downloaded TW installation files once again and replaced "suspicious" files (tiki-edit_article.php and .tpl). Problem still persists. I checked many browsers: Firefox, Opera, Chromium, Konqueror and Internet Explorer - no difference.

I checked with LTS version - it works good. Trunk - not working. 4.1 from daily buid - not working.

In XHTML source (i.e. viewed in Chromium) tiki-edit_article.php hasn't DOCTYPE declaration and bare HTML tag - no xmlns, no lang etc. - maybe this is a reason? I attach two screenshots from Chromium error console: first one is from tiki-edit_article.php, second one - from tiki-editpage.php. If you look into XHTML code, you'll see the difference.

* nor if hardcoded visibility (ex: tiki-edit_structure.php -> button save - > display:none for ajax=n)

Maybe a problem with AJAX in Tiki pre-13 / trunk??

in tiki-edit_structure.php following is not working:

add filtered wikipages to the structure AND SAVE

move pages in the structure to different positions AND SAVE

delete wikipages out of the structure AND SAVE

So all functionality is there, but just "saving" is not possible.

If install script fails (for some reason), we should at least let user proceed with manual installation.

If you set a repository (with tiki-integrator feature) of a site encoding html with iso-8859-1, then the fetched pages with tiki-integrator shown strange characters at the latin characters (Accents, etc. )

It would be great to include the param of "__charset in repository__" (and at least enble chosing from utf-8 and iso-8859-1).

--By the way, "integrator" is missing in the category "feature" at this site (and thus, is missing as checkbox in section "feature" in this tracker!)-- fixed

tiki-lastchanges.php does not show the current edit comments for a page that was edited.

Steps to repro:
1. Edit any page, and fill out the 'Edit Comment' field.
2. Go to the tiki-lastchanges.php page, and the page edit is there, but no comments are seen.
3. Return to the edited page, edit,comment and save again.
4. Go to the tiki-lastchanges.php page, and you will see the previous comment, but not the current.
