So tested with current master (25.x) and its the same behaviour.
Moving from db to dir works, but lable dont toggle. And pressing it again dont make files disappear in dir so I assume it might be that the function to move gallery items from directory back to database isn't working right now.

So its consistently wrong from at least from 21.x

I’ve being fighting with a weird phenomena since I’m trying to upgrade Tikis 20 to Tiki21.

My server is ClearOs 7 and I use php7.2 and file directory a storage.

I upload files, most appear ok and can be displayed.
Once in a while the upload is ok and the image appear in the file gallery but can’t be displayed in a wiki page sometimes the image doesn’t appear in the file gallery itself. ( I see a jpg or a png icon over the file in the file galleries)

When I copy back the folder on my local server (to test on a clone before upgrading) or create a clone on the same server most of them are not displayed (jpg or a png icon).
On my local OSX if I preview the files from the finder I can see the image, but Tiki doesn’t:

It look ok (the extra file is certainly because of my numerous attempt during the last 3 days but not related to this issue).

I create a dump of the database and copy the Tiki themes folder and files folder on my local (I delete the old one) using Cyberduck (something I’ve being doing for ages) to create a local clone.

I check the files (OSX preview) and I can see the images properly displayed.
I create a new database and dump in the sql file (the database).
I create a new Tiki (git Tiki 20) and do the install process
I place the files folderand the theme folder where it should be.
I place the theme
I re update DB, re-index files, clear cache (you never know)
And check files using the console and I got the same than on my remote.
Look to me like a perfect clone to me.

But now, start the chaos. (can’t say there is a pattern) :-)
*A few images are not displayed on the wiki page.
*A few of images show the jpg or a png icon over the file in the file galleries. (images that are displayed in the wiki pages)

I tested this behaviour and got similar results cloning to Tiki20x and to Tiki21x.
In time and after re-uploading problematic files I narrowed the issue to a few images and I re-upload them manually in my clones.

We are talking about a few files (53) and I’m enough experimented and wanted to report properly the problem (and I’m stubborn :-) ) to solve one by one the issues. I doubt Tiki admin upgrading have the same "patience"...

I create a tracker with a ''Files'' field

If the option of the field ''Upload In Modal'' is ''No'', it is impossible to upload a file.

The message I get is:

Reloading makes no difference.

I tried in 18.x also and I got no error message but I got the "Loading" turning circle forever, which is a bit different but it does not allow uploading either :-(

When URL is entered in a parenthesis it takes the closing one and includes it in the external link:

(E.g. Google -- https://google.com/)

The expected result would be that the ")" is not included as part of the link.

In Tiki21 it appears that the ~np~{footnote sameastag="widget"}~/np~ does not function in Tiki21.x
It does function in my Tiki18, I have not tested 19 and 20.

I will create a show instance.

See "Butt" for the original footnote tag, and see "Box" for the sameas tag not functioning.

Using the Footnote UI while editing, I can enter a footnote the first time only during a single editing session. If I try to use the Footnote UI a second time during the same editing session, the UI fails to open.
I have to save the first edit completely, then edit again, and use the Footnote UI to add an additional footnote.

So, the UI will only open once, per editing session.
Bug will be shown on "show instance".

The form element "select" in forms of Tiki Forum and in other features of Tiki is missing the term (selector) "custom-select" as part of the CSS class to render it correctly in the Bootstrap theme design.

Making this simple change would greatly improve and unify the UI of Tiki with the currently available Themes.

Forums tools and names support Tiki Multilingual feature but the breadcrumb that doesn’t display translation.

At https://tiki.org/forumthread70022-mpdf-Generates-Black-PDF-docs at the bottom it shows:

When you click it you can see the second page... But you can’t return back as there is no more pagination.

Currently in the tiki.org forums ("Last update from SVN (20.2svn): Monday 02 December 2019 04:56:58 JST- REV 73848"), when you preview a post/reply, the page refreshes in its original state before you wrote the post/reply. The post/reply content is lost.

Just happened to me on 21.x - dull {sign user="jonnybradley" datetime="2020-03-23T12:16:01+00:00"}

When a user clicks 'post' but forgets to enter the 'Title', it ends up in an error message and the message is lost:

On a new 21.x install, after light configuration, in page "tiki-admin_system.php" I have a recap of places where files are stored. Two of these places do not actually exist.

This means the features will fail out as activated of the box :-(

When the name of a new gallery is very long, an error occurs:

This bug only happens when the file gally is storing files in the directory structure.

If you upload a file through the file gallery and then click: list view -> edit properties -> save

The file now appears to be deleted.

For some reason, GanttChart changes in StartIsMilestone and EndIsMilestone don't get saved across editions.

What needs to be changed? Profile ((pr:GanttChart)) defines them so far as checkboxesm but maybe it's not the right field type. Should the param value stored in Tiki be yes, y, or true or something else?
Or maybe the issue is somewhere else?

Help is appreciated to get this (currently broken) feature up & running by default when applying the demo profile.

You can reproduce this issue by means of applying the ((pr:GanttChart)) profile.

Tracker form can be used as contact forms and subscription forms.

Especially when it comes to subscription form the GDPR regulation from 2018 makes it necessary to do some kind of validation - usually with a validation email similar to the validation email Tiki optionally sends out when a user registers.

If I would use Tracker forms for validation of subscriptions or registrations (ex for conferences) the tracker should have the option to automatically send a validation email and a filter (index!) to display validated and non-validated items and further more an option to manually validate ... in case there has been personal or phone contact between office and registrant.

There is a validation option in Trackers, but that seems to address another problem and is not usable for the described type of use cases.

doing some quick tests with tiki 21.x, I just noticed that geolocated tracker items are not shown in map any more in Profile GeoCMS Maps since 21.x
They still show fine in 20.x svn as of today {sign user="xavi" datetime="2020-02-22T13:10:20+00:00"}
Some extra tweak is needed in the profile for the feature to work in 21.x? some regression?

when testing how to use ((h5p)) in Tiki, I saw this message several times when setting up the whole process:

The first times, the folder hadn't been created. (sorry I tested many things, and I didn't record - nor recall - all the steps I did).
The last time I saw that message, the folder had been created indeed by Tiki, and with permissions for apache to write in it. So this last time might have been a false positive error message.

Reproduced in a show2.t.o, while showing also many other error messages combined with success messages (there is room for improvements in usability, I reckon):

After installation of H5P, some H5P objects are not installable. Some others run correctly.

For instance : "Image Hotspots" can't be installed with the error message : "Validating h5p package failed."

Created in h5p.org site, then uploaded in Tiki, such a file can't run in Tiki 20.
Error message : "H5P Plugin: Cannot find H5P content with fileId: 12."
Found in PHP errors : "No AJAX service matches request parameters (404)"

Searching in H5P.org, it seems that our php library for this plugin needs an update.

Tested with a fresh installation 20.1 on xampp 7.3.9 AND demo.tiki.org/20x

__Please mind that the described H5P related bug occurs whilst not using H5P, but using the file gallery when H5P is activated. Deactivating H5P makes the bug disappear.__

I got a weird message form ((doc:PluginH5P)) in tiki saying that the fileId number of the h5p file I uploaded to Tiki was wrong: "H5P Plugin: Cannot find H5P content with fileId: 770.", and fileId 770 is the fileId number of that brand new h5p file I uploaded to the file gal.

Reindexing didn't help.

When you create PDF using Tiki (mPDF) using the wikitopline it take a little time and page is not staying on position but moving top.

If the wikitopline is not on the top of the page (and usually it is moved it down or remove it with bootstrap and mobile) the user won’t see the feedback unless he scroll to find it.

The problem is that from the user point of view it is like nothing is happening and he will likely think the feature is not working.

It could be a modal over the screen so all case (mobile) are covered.

Using H5P Collage, when the file is inserted into page using for example:

The collage looks fine, but when the page is cached, the images fly out of the constrained area and convert to full size images.

On a site with image galleries, there is a button in page tiki-galleries.php which claims ''Migrate Images to File Gallery''

When I click on it, a new File gallery is created and named ''Migrated Image Galleries'' (that is perfect!)
For each image gallery, a file gallery with the same name as the image gallery is created as a child of ''Migrated Image Galleries'' (still perfect!)

__But__ no images are actually migrated to these new file galleries. The new file galleries are empty and the old image galleries are still there.

Using the command line version gives the same lack of result:
