"Items List" Tracker Field lacking " 'sorts field' parameter" reverse sort order. It would be nice to able to show this list in a reverse sort order. |

tracker field "subscription" should include an option to automat. send message to item autor
Reported first Using 1.10cvs from mid June 2007. Reviewed and confirmed goal is still legitimate in Jan 2022 (15 years later). The tracker field "subscription" should include an option to automatically send a notification message to them item autor (and "watchers" of the item, maybe?) Because subscription field is very useful also in letting people show interest in whatever you offered or requested in a tracker, and might be an easy way to let users get in contact related to that offer or demand... etc. Thanks Guilles for your nice contributions to Tiki code! :-) An admiror of yor work, as ((tw:Sylvie)) once said... ON tiki23 at https://next.tiki.org/tiki-syslog.php when accessing to the Tiki logs from the new admin lead to a confirmation dialog (that shouldn't be here). {img fileId="1593" thumb="box"} {img fileId="1594" thumb="box"} Visible on Tiki24 on next.tiki.org |

Add a text field on the login module (free text)
There are several cases an Admin want to use the login module but need to add some informations. To solve this it is possible to use the module in a page or in another module. This is not very intuitive and require editing work. Adding a "free text" field will make much easier to add login or registration information (or whatever want the admin/editor). |

Add an optional parameter for Tiki sliders (slider, carousel, slideshow, list template)
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"} While it is not wise to create or publish a slider with different height images it happen and the result is really naughty. It push down content then push it up... See : the show instance of this ticket and https://doc.tiki.org/PluginList-output-control-block#Report_Formatting As discussed in the January 2020 Tiki Roundtable Meeting it will be great to have a new optional parameter to fix the height no matter the usage (plugin in page or plugin list template). * Swiper * Carousel * Plugin List carousel template Recording of roundtable is available from: https://tiki.org/Roundtable+Meeting+2020+01 |

Add Windows encoding option to Tracker Tabular Format
Make it easier for tracker imports and exports to be used with Excel by adding an encoding option to Tabular Formats, which currently only has UTF-8. This should be a new dropdown with UTF-8, Windows-1252 and maybe ISO Latin 1 (maybe more) |

Additions to Tracker Field Rules
* Make field rules work with ItemsList field (and possibly others) because these are DIV elements and have a -+text()+- value rather than a -+val()+- value. * Check and implement condition groups (i.e. -+if (this and (that or that or that)) etc+- * Stop radio buttons performing action for each button * Add tracker_status as a conditions and actions "field" Done: * --Add "if user is the current user" condition and "make field not editable" action to tracker field rules-- * --Add action to wipe or set a value on a field (for instance clearing it if you're hiding one)-- * --Make rule conditions work when rule is on the target (currently the condition only tests the field the rule is on)-- * --UserSelector using autocomplete doesn't work (as it's a comma separated single input not an -+ins_xxx[]+- array -- |

Admin groups, UI; Action (wrench) menu doesn't close and overlaps the submit button
On a Tiki23 I go to -+tiki-admingroups.php?group=''Agroup''#contenttabs_admingroups-3+- to display the members of "Agroup". On the row of each user I have a wrench that opens an action menu. I click on "Remove from group". It displays a confirmation and validation modal with a password field and a submit (confirm) button. BUT because the action menu stays open I can't see and click on the submit button. {img fileId="1720" thumb="box"} |

Admin interface, Search Plugins, Dev.t.o; The new search plugin interface gives 0 results
Since Tiki24 we have a new search interface to find a plugin in our LONG list of plugin at : tiki-admin.php?page=textarea#contentadmin_textarea-2 This is a real nice improvement saving resources and space however it is not working at Dev.t.o {file type="gallery" fileId="1747" showicon="y"} |

Admin interface, search; The red color to highlight search results in the admin interface is wrong
When an admin perform a search the results found on the admin page will have the class "highlight" added. This class is adding a bright red background and border. {img fileId="1756" thumb="box"} That's wrong language. Red is for danger, critical, etc. Should be more informative and less aggressive. {img fileId="1757" thumb="box"} {img fileId="1758" thumb="box"} {img fileId="1759" thumb="box"} |

Admin interface, UX/UI; Admin interface should use all the available width to improve usability
This was tested on Tiki26 using Classic Bootstrap layout with Unified Admin Backend enable, fixed width enabled and a value for "Layout width" (1920px) wider than the available space in the admin display for a screen width. IE: The site don't use a left column and is designed to use most, but not all, of the width available but in the admin view we have a 268px aside dropdown set. In that case the footer goes under the Unified Admin Back-end col. {mediaplayer src="display2025"} |

Admin Modules: UI broken - buttons missing and tab duplication (template issue?)
In a new 24.x vcs master installation the tiki-admin_modules.php UI is broken. The UI is kind of cut-off below the module zone tabs and there is no button to add new modules. The interface seems to have been reorganised, but not finalised yet. When activating and deactivating (playing around) the tabs / no tabs buttons the button appears. --I will try to confirm with show.tiki.org-- confirmed There seems to be a conflict with two variants of the tab toggle (tab view / no tabs) and and a duplication of the admin module tabs. See attached screenshots. I assume a template issue {sign user="Torsten" datetime="2021-12-06T07:09:50+00:00"} |

Admin, CSRF timeout value; Default value is wrong and can't be reseted (saved back)
At tiki-admin.php?page=security you can set the value for the CSRF Security timeout. The default says it is 14400 but the value displayed (by default) is 1440. The tooltip says : ".../... subject to a default maximum of four hours in any case." The default value set in the pref field is wrong (seems it should 1440 instead of 14400). |

Admin, Print Settings; The page preferences order is totally chaotic and really not user friendly
On Tiki24 we have an admin "Print Setting" page : tiki-admin.php?page=print If I want the generate a PDF from the action menu (first preferences on the admin page) this is what I see: {img fileId="1714" thumb="box"} Wiki print, the main feature to enable everything print, is somewhere at the bottom ? and PDF generation is at the top, preferences that rely on it are place above it... frankly it really look bad for Tiki to release such mess for users. We should use tab and reorder things. Another example, the preference "Show Page title" is placed under "PDF settings" however it is applied to both (common preference) |

Admin, Rebuild-Index; We should have a link for this in the admin-navbar
On Tiki24 to rebuild the unify index you need to go to the Search feature page and click on the rebuild-index button. It is a commonly used function and it should be available from the admin-navbar on the top of the admin dashboard/area. |

Admin, Security; Tips and help links on the Security admin panel should be helpful
On a Tiki24, I encountered an error about "security setting" I went to the Admin, Advanced, Security control panel at tiki-admin.php?page=security there I found a "Tip" remarkbox. "Please see the Security page on Tiki's developer site. See Security Admin for additional security settings." There is 2 links; # ((Security)), an (almost) empty page that certainly doesn't help the admin if he has an issue ? # Security Admin (tiki-admin_security.php) that goes to a list of activated wikiplugin (and a path) and 2 other links that take further into a wrong direction. In summary we are not helping the admin with documentation or tools. Candidate pages; * https://doc.tiki.org/System-Configuration (helped to find hidden preferences) * https://doc.tiki.org/Security-Admin (outdated) ? * https://doc.tiki.org/Security (documentation need improvement) |

Allow mail templates to be overridden in wiki pages
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"} It would be really useful to be able to override the smarty templates used for email notifications (currently in -+templates/mail+- and -+templates/activity+-) Probably a new pref -+mail_template_wiki_pages+- to look for pages "named exactly like the template files" (maybe starting with -+mail_+-?) with the correct -+tiki_p_use_as_template+- permission and if found, use that as a tplwiki resource instead of the tpl file. Hopefully to be backported to 21.x when tested. |

Ampersand in heading rendered as "&"
Hi When using the ~np~{maketoc}~/np~ plugin, an ampersand in a heading is rendered as "~np~&~/np~" in the generated table of contents, under certain circumstances. This will exhibit the faulty behaviour: ~np~! Foo&Bar~/np~ Whereas this won't (notice the white space): ~np~! Foo & Bar~/np~ |

Articles should have a history, just like wiki pages
Articles do not have history. With wiki pages, there is always an undo (and multistage, and with comparison etc.). Articles don't have that, and I believe they should, and it shouldn't be hard to add... The revision system could be shared, or at least recycled, from the one wiki pages have. |

Articles, make easier to assign translated articles
You can use Tiki articles in multilingual website having article for several language. The usual process is to create a main article (default language) then create other articles with different language and assign them as translation of the previous article. Article => Edit => Advanced, Attach existing article ID as translation You have to insert the ID of the article and that really not user friendly. You should be able to retrieve articles by name in a select. --- On second thought... If wed really like to improve we could reuse the same interface/system we have with wiki pages (translation) as it is working fine is much better (proposing translation if missing and displaying set of translated documents) and will be better for UX (consistency). I just wonder if it worth the investment. |

There is something similar in wp.
*https://spinupwp.com/doc/understanding-wp-cron/
*https://cronless.com/help/crons
---
Additionally we can imagine a set of scheduler command already in place (activated by default)
Index rebuilt, sitemap, etc...
