One of the wizards displays one particular bubble help beginning WAY off the browser window, that is Random Header Images on /templates/wizard/profiles_useful_micro_confs.tpl. It starts a couple of hundred pixels outside the browser window, which means that all lines start with invisible (!) sentence beginnings... This is so far the only bubble help that starts off-screen, the others behave normally.

!! Tiki fatal error while upgrading.

Tiki generates fatal error when attempting to upgrade.

I was suggested that i publish the information here instead in bugs to get help with this issue which is very critical for me, because I cannot upgrade

As you can see from the video it fails everytime. I also replaced all tiki files. with the newest ones prior to do the upgrade attempt. I deleted all the old files on the server and uploaded a fresh copy.
Now with that said, the same errors occurred while trying to upgrade when the server had the old installation files on it. So there is really not a difference in that part.


I hope that someone can help out with this, I really, really don't wish to reinstall from scratch and then manually transfer all the data from the old system to the new installed copy.

The Changes Wizard shows no mention of Tiki 22.x
Instead the first thing it shows is "__New in Tiki 18 (LTS)__".
A bit embarrassing we have nothing new in Tiki 22.x to show there... (:redface:)

Call up the Configurations Wizard within a TikiWiki 27 environment and click through the individual areas in the left-hand area.

In many areas, the options on the corresponding right-hand side are invisible. For example "Set up Login"

In the update wizard /templates/wizard/upgrade_others.tpl there is this:

Of course that should be SMTP :-)

All of the wizards use icons that are hardcoded, and this results in them being un-influenced by the choice of iconsets, so they can look out of place.

This should be switched to the way almost all other icons are used (declaration by a given name, and redirection in /themes/basefiles/iconsets.

Almost, because tiki-sheet also uses hardcoded icons (should also be switched one day).

When you click "Start Changes Wizard" button on tiki-wizard_admin.php?stepNr=0&url=index.php it shows "New in Tiki 26" in big letters and that is the latest (newest) version that wizard page was updated for (except it just shows "URL Fragment format" as a new preference; otherwise it is just empty). When you click "Save and Continue" it shows "New in Tiki 25", etc. (at least there is a bit more features to set up).

__We should update that wizard to include some major new stuff from Tiki 30 at least before we release!__
