Levels in tiki-assignpermission.php are confusing to the new tiki admins.

Solution

Update doc.tikiwiki.org/permissions and related pages to explain fuctionality.

They should be moved below in a section "advanced" (ideally hidden by a javascript). So new tiki admins can start right away to assign perms. Later on, when they become proficient, they can start using levels.

I don't think, that's a good solution... - it would make the page extremely long..

But some nice solution would be nice...

Harder solution

redesign a simpler two panel template for "assign permission to group:"

Upper panel:assign all permissions from . . .
enabling that admin creating a new group can assign all perms from other group pretty much of replaces levels entirely, right? what are levels but generic groups? Smart admins can then cluster perms any way they like.

Lower panel:add/remove permissions.
This panel could use java show/hide (or be really long) listing each and every permission that exists, grouped by feature. beside each perm is a simple check box.

Note: has anyone created a todo to create a "junior admin" permission that enables the user to give any, all and only the permissions they have to other users? (for full flexability they would also have to be able to create groups)
