I am looking into adding, an javascript/html code editor into the template editor area. I would like to globalize it so the script can be called on any page the end user wishes. I have implemented this into othe CMS's already, and it is a great feature. If you use cPanel/WHM you have seen it. Its called Editarea, and its a very nice code editor built into the web site for editing any files...
An example can be found here to view it

The thought process is, that an admin can go into the template area, see the list of template files, and open then up in the code editor right on the site, edit them, save, refresh and see his/her changes immediately.
