ability to reference images by using wiki/markdown markup
Hello,

See the following [https://tiki.org/forumthread79578-File-Gallery-Revamp-or-how-to-reference-image-by-using-wiki-markdown-markup?topics_offset=0|post] for more extensive explanation.

Sincerely,

Ability to sort, edit and delete Forum Sections
Currently Forum Sections can be created when a forum is being created/edited.

(described here https://tiki.org/forumthread72458-Editing-or-removing-Forum-sections )

However, once created, Forum Sections cannot be easily edited or deleted. There is a workaround described in the link above, but the aim of this ticket is to improve the management of Forum Sections, so that they can be

* easily edited
* easily deleted
* sortable, without having to resort to numbers or spaces in front of them

This has been discussed with Marc Laporte and work should begin shortly.

Ability to upload multiple attachments at once onto a WIKI page
{syntax type=tiki}
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"}
This is the ((Tracking system for Tiki issues)).
If this is your first time, please read: ((How to Submit a new item on the Wishlist))

Ability to use a structure as a menu {menu structureId=1}
I can't see the reason for the separation between the structures feature and the menu feature - structures are massively easier to create and edit, but only menus can be shown collapsibly. Separation of functions leads to confusion and harder support.

Accessibility; Adding accessibility tools to Tiki
Site accessibility is a very strong argument to implement Tiki in governmental or public funded project.

The following is a bit overdoing it but look convincing.
{img fileId="1951" thumb="box"}

Having simply contrast and font size tool should be enough.

May be there is an open source project that can be integrated via composer ?

Accounting: account selection without function
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"}
When you do accounting, created a book and created some accounts, you can make bookings into a stack. When you do that, you should select creditor or debitor account. For this purpose there is drop down menu, and I would have expected that created accounts are to be found in there. But the dropdown menu is empty, it doesn't even drop down. Also, you cannot type in an account number...

Activity Stream, Admin interface; Custom activities rules link should also be placed where the option is set.
Following the doc at https://doc.tiki.org/PluginActivityStream I set activity stream and login as admin to create my first rules.
At tiki-admin.php?page=community#contentadmin_community-2 I enabled Custom activities and apply.
I was expecting something to be visible, a button to add or create my first rule but the screen stays put.
I retried again and activate everything but nothing else was displayed.

I re-look at the video to understand that at the top of the page (not visible when you are looking at the Activity Stream options) they were a link, that was always there "Activity Rules" that goes to an external page, https://next.tiki.org/tiki-managestream-list

This implementation is different from most of what we find in Tiki Administration and really not user friendly for a new admin or someone discovering the feature. While it is ok to have on the top it should be also visible near the direct related option "Custom activities" checkbox as soon as you enable it.

{img fileId="1723" thumb="box"}

Another thing that would be nice is to be informed of the existence and eventually the number of rules that have been created.

For example, and to make it small, near the Activity Rules link a badge with the number of exiting custom activity rules. (0 for none is good to indicate no rule have been made yet)

add 'change File Gallery upload size' to Admin Panel > File Galleries
Changing File Gallery upload size really should be in: Admin Panel > File Galleries

This is a very common and necessary function that shouldn't have to be changed by changing scripts in php files (novices already have more than enough to learn with the Admin Panel gui, learning to change scripts in php files will only discourage new users and will serve as a reason to drop Tiki and move on to another program).

There should be a simple text box (or drop down) where the Admin can easily change the file size (assumption: when you press 'change preferences' the php script is updated).

On every Tiki site I've work, on this is always one of the very first problems I have to deal with.

thanks,
Mike

Add a wiki dump feature
Hi. There are cases when you need a dump of the entire wiki. Such as for offline browsing. In my case, I need to be able to read the wiki when I can't run the web server.

There was the "Dump files" feature, which provided for this, but this is defunct and was about to be removed. See [https://dev.tiki.org/item8549-Defunct-old-Dump-Files-feature-should-be-removed|Defunct old "Dump Files" feature should be removed].

So I'm requesting to bring the feature back.

Add --auto-fix option to the doc/devtools/check_template_translation_standards.php script
Add --auto-fix option to the doc/devtools/check_template_translation_standards.php script.

So running -+~np~$ php doc/devtools/check_template_translation_standards.php --all --auto-fix~/np~+- would automatically replace the reported occurrences (matches).

Add 'Deprecated' preference filter (split "experimental")
Currently, there are four preference filters available in the Control Panel interfaces: "Basic", "Advanced", "Experimental" and "Unavailable".

As a user new to Tiki, I have on several occasions noted features that looked interesting, but which I have not enabled as I have subsequently found it is planned to deprecate them. In some cases this was obvious (e.g. a 'warning' icon with the deprecation message on hover next to the feature checkbox), in others it wasn't (i.e. I only found out about it from doc.t.o or related places).

On the assumption that it will help with planned deprecations if new installations don't enable and start using deprecated features, I would propose that a "Deprecated" preference filter be added, that relevant controls be assigned to it, and that it be disabled by default in new installations.

I understand the criteria for such might be controversial (indeed, I hope I'm not reigniting a heated discussion by posting this!) and so would understand if this is WONTFIXED. I also recognise that it is less appropriate for a new user to suggest criteria here than for those that have had Tiki installations for some time and/or are directly involved in development, which is why I haven't listed any in this initial report.

Add "Add Calendar" and "Edit Calendar" Buttons to the Admin Calendar Page
I'd like to see the UI on the Admin Calendar page get more consistent with the Admin Groups page.
Current behavior: Select Admin Calendars from menu. List of Calendars and "Create/Edit Calendars Label comes up in Entry Area. After entering and saving a new calendar, the last information stays in the text entry boxes. The user must click on Admin Calendars and re-load the page to clear the boxes for the next entry.

Desired Behavior: Select Admin Calendars from menu. List of Calendars and a form with "Add a Calendar" are opened. Buttons for "Edit Calendar" and "Create Calendar" are located below the Admin Calendar heading and load the appropriate forms.
Thanks for considering this request. dthacker.

Add "social" relavancy to search results
I would like to see social implications added to Tiki search results. For example, in addition to pure content relevancy, it would be nice if search results took into account things like:
- Page rating
- Free tags
- Bookmarks
- Trackbacks
- Number of views
etc.

These could be used in conjunction with pure keyword matching to present users with a (potentially) better match.
tracker item
Add a "Create New Calendar" button to tiki-admin_calendars.php
After a new calendar is created, the create calendar form is still populated, and subsequent changes will edit the already created calendar instead of creating a new one. This behavior is not apparent to the user until the edit has taken place.

Add a check in release.php for the maximum php version
The release script checks the syntax of all php files so we need to add a way for each branch to warn when using a newer version of php than the min spec version for that branch.

I know how to do it, just need time so this is a reminder to myself ;)
tracker item
Add a command to console.php to invalidate certain objects in the search index
In some cases, e.g. where reindexing takes a long time, it would sometimes be useful to invalidate certain objects and then do -+index:catch-up+- to process the queue, e.g.
{CODE()}php console.php index:invalidate trackeritem 1234,1235,1236,1237{CODE}
(for instance)

Missing information (has been lost?) in the tooltip for tracker field radio button and dropdown
When you create a tracker field Radio Buttons or Dropdown you can set in the options, option field values, labels and ===default selected value===.

''If an option contains an equal sign, the part before the equal sign will be used as the value, and the second part as the label
Separate multiple with commas.''

The tooltip says how to set a value and a label (1=One).

The tooltip omit (it was there at some point for the dropdown) to explain that a double entry will be seen as the default selected value for the field.
IE: 1=One,2=Two,3=Three,3=Three (Three will be the default selected value).

Add a grid / masonry display for the profiles in the Profiles Wizard with filters
We have plenty of profiles ready for new users to learn new skills within Tiki, but we fail in the way we allow filtering them for a new tiki admin: it should be easier and more visual, imho.

We should add some sort of ((Grid)) or masonry display (like flash cards) plus some fast filtering based on tags that the user adds. I wonder if the isotope filtering from masonry could be hacked to allow filtering by profile tags. See:
https://isotope.metafizzy.co/
(from the same author of https://masonry.desandro.com/ )

Add a group filter on admin users page.
Ex.:
tiki-adminusers.php?group=Editors

It will make it easier to manage groups.
tracker item
add a label like [forum name XXX] in each email from monitorized forum post or thread....
Forums are getting powerful enough to substitute mailing lists on many tiki sites (yahhogroups, etc.). However, notification messages from forums cannot be added easily to local email filters since the subject doesn't contain a label like [[Forum X - site Y] to ease this task.
{CODE()}
[Forum X - site Y]
{CODE}

I guess this must be very easy for a coder (just adding some variable to a smarty template? and adding a call to that variable if needed from the related .php or .tpl file - I just get the rough idea... I wish I could do that myself...)

Add a lock option for a time recorded by the tracker field duration
From my understanding, the time (or several times) recorded inside the tracker field duration are some kind of "independent" entity inside a tracker item.

IMO, we should have option(s) to "lock" the time recorded to avoid further changes after an action is done.

IE: If I record the work time of someone and if at some point it is approved or validated it should locked and only an Admin (or a user with permission) would be able to change it or unlock the entry.

by extension may be something simple can be done as a start with the tracker item status.
If open (or open and pending) it can be changed else immutable.
If the item is close durations recorded can’t be changed.

Plugin List (family); Add a feature to filter based on the first word initials on the pluginList
Like we have for PluginTrackerlist or PluginTrackerfilter there is param showinitials to filter and display alphabetical filters. Can we do the same with PluginList?

Add a payment interface for Klarna to payment/cart
Tiki Wiki's payment options are VERY limited. Internationally, practically only Paypal is implemented (and there the sandbox is broken! Cf bug report on that).

Currently, there are no methods implemented to charge banking accounts and/or credit cards aside from Paypal, which faces rejection by certain customers, because of Paypal's intransparent conflict resolution methods.

Charging banking accounts will be complicated, at least in Germany, because the organisation of banks demands certified code.

In Germany, the Swedish Klarna enjoys steadily growing acceptance. Klarna has published their API, so integration should be possible.

https://developers.klarna.com/api/#payments-api-create-a-new-credit-session

For Germany, other popular services would be Sofortüberweisung or BillPay, the latter being a "classical" card processor.

Thanks

Add a payment interface for Payone to payment/cart
Another good option to increase Tiki Wiki's payment options would be Payone. That is not :-) a subsidiary of Klarna, but a joint venture of the German savings banks (DSV group) and French Ingenico SA.

Payone could open ALL international payment options for Tiki...

https://www.sparkasse.de/unsere-loesungen/firmenkunden/e-commerce/payone.html (in German).

The API is open:

Import phpBB data
phpBB is a popular open source forum software.
Sometimes, a forum is not enough.
So, the data must be migrated from phpBB to Tiki forums...

If you want to help:
Please post links to similar scripts.
ex.: phpbb to invision board, etc
If/when we do a script, we should do for all major forums.

__From kerrnel22 on 11/20/07:__

I have almost completed an integrated TikiWiki forum migration tool for 1.9.8.x and 1.10. Initial release will be to migrate only Tiki forums from one Tiki install to another. However, hooks are in place, and the intention is there, to work on extending the migration tool to importing of phpBB2 (or any other forum software) into Tiki. If you would like more information, email tiki.kerrnel@kerris.com. I expect a general release of the forum migration tool (for Tiki forums only) into cvs of both branches for beta testing by December 1/07. If all goes well, I'll have something released for phpBB2 migration prior to Dec 31.
