I cannot complete anymore the console command -+database:u+-

This is a Debian11 server (updated) using last Virtualmin version using:
PHP 7.4.33
Database MariaDB 10.5.15-MariaDB-0+deb11u1
Tiki Version 25.1

I tested on my OSX local where the command completes:
 PHP  7.4.26
 Database  MySQL 5.7.34
 Tiki Version  25.1

The date picker is supposed to use the site styles (font, colors, etc.)
There is a difference of style when you see today's date and other dates (has been fixed recently)

Both are present in Tiki25 and gone in TIki26rc.

Under Menu > Navigation in the admin settings, attempting to edit the menu's Details/Options (via the dialog accessed using the edit/pencil button) results in the following error:

* Incorrect integer value: '' for column `tikiwiki`.`tiki_menu_options`.`userlevel` at row 1

This means that no options can be updated for menus. Name, group restrictions, et al. Menus can still be re-ordered and re-arranged, but no settings, labels, or other features are saving.

This is a brand-new, fresh install, and I am not seeing any errors when updating any other content or items.

__Steps to reproduce:__
# Visit Admin > Menu > Navigation
# Click on the Pencil/Edit Icon next to a menu option
# Make changes and click "Save"

__Faulty consequence:__
* Error appears at top of page, and no settings are changed.

__Expected behavior:__
* I expect the settings to be saved and no error to appear.

__Workaround:__
Use menus without permissions or customization. This means that menu items that should not appear for, say, anonymous users will still appear, and take the visitor to an error/access denied message. Menu link, title and position are the only things that can be changed, as they can be adjusted through the menu options list.

In the "Wiki" Control panel, there's a "Dump files" feature. It's at the very end of the page, if tabs view has been turned off. This feature doesn't work at all. When you click "Create dump file", after a short delay, you get an empty page.

In Tiki 25, it worked, with restrictions. It seemed to create a corrupt tar file, but in retrospective I think, the file probably just had an outdated file format and could possibly still be used, with the right command line argument for "tar".

In dev.tiki.org and on the tikiwiki-devel list, I saw that this "Dump files" feature should have been removed. I think so, too, so I'm suggesting to actually do so.

I'll write a feature request for a replacement for the "Dump files" feature.

On the tracker field selector user you may have several users selected.

Unless you want to remove the last user, it is super not user-friendly to remove a user from the field. You have to delete all and re-assign them one by one without the one you wanted to remove.

That's a pain and forbid changes in many cases.

I edited a comment on a ticket from dev tracker 5 and on save (the area seems to reload or to be updated) nothing was changed.
It take a few refresh (if not unlucky like in the video ?) to properly update the comment for the contributor user.

On a Tiki25, I worked for sometimes on a diagram (2 days in a row) on my Mac OSX Safari.

At some point I Exit and Save and Exit didn't work anymore.
I had to close the tab (seems my work is saved)

After closing the tab and when I retried later I had a weirder issue ending on a blank tab on save.

I was testing other things, and I realized that diagrams cannot be saved inline anymore.

Reproduced in a show2.t.o instance from another bug report (since setting up diagram generation requires some manual steps to get the composer package installed server side)

I selected to save each new diagram inside the wiki page (inline), but that choice was not respected and diagrams were saved in a file in the file gallery.

Obviously we want people searching in google to land on real and good content that promote Tiki, give information or help (support).

Would it be possible to list the contents of a directory not in /var/www/tiki, but generated from a crontab output file and stored in the /var/www/tiki directory. This would be to facilitate having a daily or hourly updated view of project files associated with the tikiwiki documentation. If this doesn't sound like a good global feature I would love to get some pointers as to where I would place the php code in what tiki file etc to get this working in my own project.

I can't edit it from the doc seems it is set as is in the PREFDOC.

At https://doc.tiki.org/PluginCode the different samples with colors parameters are not doing anything.

Have a look at this older bug report.

It is being rendered like in the screenshot (attachments), completely illegible. My browser here is a current MS Edge on W10.

Without starting a new discussion on breaking layouts: If a page like dto writen not on ancient but fairly up-to-date Tiki versions renders like the screenshot: How can an admin protect his/her website from such? How can it be remedied? Sites as large as dto surely cannot be inspected page by page for layout errors.

We should consider this for Tiki.

Step #1: Make a list of all features and contexts that have this search as you type feature.

As of 21.x and 22.x the elFinder gallery url's have changed. This has created issues with existing menu items that were pointing to a file gallery. The url's used before would have a trailing /file1 for a gallery.
Now using elFinder their is an extra trailing url attached that looks like this:

/file1#elf_f1_MQ

A show instance will be created, at the show instance you can turn elFinder on and off, and view the gallery url's change.

The syntax:

No longer works in plugin list in 23.x (and possibly 22.x) with elasticsearch.

It still works fine with the mysql engine, but it definitely fails (and finds everything, empty or not) in es7, 6 and 5.

Trackers are the de facto way Tiki treats data collected from users. These are personal data that directly fall under ''__many__'' legislative and other regulations. Primarily the EU GDPR, but -here- more importantly under the PCI, if they contain credit card or other payment data like bank account numbers.

Under PCI DSS credit card data must not be kept in the same database as personal data. They must be separated on all levels of processing, from technical to organizational. They cannot be processed under group logins, logins to systems carrying card data must use personalized login accounts etc. et. al.

There is one problem with trackers here: To my knowledge all trackers are kept in one DB, which is the DB the Tiki runs from. In order to comply with PCI DSS it will be necessary to have trackers with card data in a separate DB...

When I try to access d.t.o. to make comments or file bugs, I get very many "Err_Tunnel_Connection_Failed" error messages instead of the the content requested. Looks like there is a hiccup in hosting d.t.o. ...

Weird (I had never seen such a thing in all previous tiki versions).

Having this code on a page:

Will work fine when logged in, but will generate a db_error when not logged in.

Also, tiki-calendar.php is generating a php error on line 284, as TikiLib::date_format('m', $dday) returns 'm'. I changed this line of code to instead use %m, and that seemed to fix the problem.

BigBlueButton 2.4 comes with a new feature called __Learning Analytics Dashboard__ (LAD from now on)

By default, the data behind this dashboard is deleted 2 minutes after the meeting finishes, but there is preference in bbb that can be changed to avoid deleting this meeting data.

By default data for the Learning Dashboard are kept for 2 minutes after a session ends and then are removed permanently.

In order to make the Learning dashboard persistent, you need to change the variable learningDashboardCleanupDelayInMinutes in /usr/share/bbb-web/WEB-INF/classes/bigbluebutton.properties.


To keep the learning dashboard data permanently, change the value to 0: LearningDashboardCleanupDelayInMinutes=0.

Once you make this please restart the bbb by running bbb-conf –restart.

In order to access the dashboard data you need to supply

1. The internal meeting id of the meeting, which is same as the directory name under /var/bigbluebutton/learning-dashboard/ on your server
2. The access token for the learning dashload, which is same as the subdirectory name under /var/bigbluebutton/learning-dashboard/<internal meeting Id>/

Then the learning dashboard can be accessed through https://your.bbb.com/learning-dashboard/?meeting=<internal meeting Id>&report=<access token>

If you wish to see the learning dashboard in your preferred language then you can an addition parameter to above url &lang=<language code>Then complete url would look like this : https://your.bbb.com/learning-dashboard/?meeting=<internal meeting Id>&report=<access token>&lang=<language code>

It would be nice to see a summary of attendance to a meeting, which would help to make meeting notes in use cases in which that document is needed and needs to be written: and recording needs to be played again to catch all attendants to a meeting, and eventually who where just listeners and which ones participated in any form (audio, chat, etc)

This extra information could be linked somehow from the report shown through ((doc:PluginBigBlueButton)) next to the recordings of a room, so that, besides the recording, you could access the log of that LAD.
Storing LAD data could be made optional (like the recording currently is) from within the PluginBigBlueButton in Tiki. If enabled, then the link to display the LAD would be shown next to the recording link, for those users in groups with the perm to see the recording.

Additionally, the bigbluebutton-api-php already has params to control LAD. Example:

Does it make sense?

This feature ((doc:External-Wikis)) is very hard to find from the admin control panels and its name doesn't tells what it really does.

It allows to use aliases for external websites set by the admin that will be used and displayed as wiki links.

However, beside the obscure name"External Wikis"... ??‍♂️;

It is not to be found in the Wiki panel tabs.
It is not to be found in the results of the search preferences filter.

You can find it under the admin menu item "Tools"... something this is not IMO.

It is also in the Settings menu (but you don't have access to this menu from the admin area)

The setting page displays 2 additional fields compared to the documentation. The inline help doesn't really help to understand the simple mortals what they do:
* Index, [prefix]main, such as tiki_main
* Search as, Leave blank to search using currently active groups.

Someone with knowledge should tell what they are doing.

Clean install of php8.1-fpm and nginx on ubuntu 22.04
I was able to run the new tiki-check.php from git and all looks good, db is recognised, php is all good.
