__Setup:__ tiki 17.1 on Linux, nginx, mysql, php 5.6
I have standard text editor and default file gallery stuff..

Short story: I cannot put images into blog post via "Choose or upload images" button. The files are being downloaded instead of inserted into opened blog post.
It is something regarding __SEF URL__ feature.. when I enable it .. the bug is being triggered.. when I disable it it works as before.

The other strange thing is that I cannot edit already inserted images via double clicking.

__Steps to reproduce:__
1, open blog post
2, click "Choose or upload images" - three squares behind each other icon
3, Upload screen is opened in another window
4, click Browse Galleries
5, choose gallery and hover on the particular image
6, popup with thumbnail of image and caption "Download" shows
7, after clicking the image starts downloading via browser

__What I was doing:__
Enabling SEF URL..
Fiddling with some settings, not sure if related - user settings, permissions, batch directory, disabled image gallery etc.
I tried Batch directory in File Galleries, it worked via syncthing.. then I processed the files.. probably it caused the thing..
Moved files from database to directory.

__Show tiki instance:__
I was not able to demonstrate bug so far (I have SEF URL set)

Password for admin: 12345 .. test/test123 set/set123 if anybody is interested in playing with that.

In tikiwiki 2.2, I created a file gallery and then attempted to upload a file. Set to save in database.

With memory_limit in php.ini set to 32M, the upload page says max file size is limited to 4MB. I can upload files that are smaller than 1 MB, but files larger than 1MB produce the PHP error message:

If I set the memory_limit to 64 MB, the upload page says max file size is limited to 15MB. If I try to upload a file larger than 1 MB, PHP generates the error:

If I set to save to a folder instead, upload works.

Cannot upload images to file galleries on tiki.org anymore?

Wanted to upload simple little png screenshot but got:

Error
Data too long for column 'name' at row 1

Tried both the elFinder UI
and https://tiki.org/tiki-upload_file.php too

Under the uploaded preview thumbnail there appears also this message:
File upload failed: Forbidden

Ah, it seems only when I rename the screenshot file to something __really really short__ it works then:
__renamed Screenshot_2018-07-12 Roundtable Meeting 2018 07.png to Screenshot_2018-07-12.png__

The name should not be limited to such a low number of characters, should it? If yes, then it should state clearly before uploading that the file name has a limit to not confuse users...

and now, I can't upload files to the Files gallery.

Here is what I do:

* tiki-upload_file.php
* click on Browse button
* Navigate my disk and select an image file
* Click UPload Files button
* Nothing happens.

I would like to use tiki as a Document Managment Solution (apart from other things I use it for). To do this I would like to assign one or (typical) more categories to one file within a file gallery. Using categories inside a file gallery would make it much easieren to manage huge numbers of files.

I have a file gallery with many files.
If I assign the parent file gallery to a category, only this object will be assigned to the category and, if I want the assignment to be recursive, I have to assign one by one the files.
This is bad UX and in case of many files very hard to achieve without errors.

We should have a way to assign a file gallery and all the files within to a category.

When an image or file gallery is categorized the title & description are added to the tiki_categorized_objects table BUT if the title or description is then edited and changed this change does not get made to the fields in the tiki_categorized_object table. This means that when the objects are shown in the Browse Category function (or using the Category Plugin) then the 'old' title and description are shown.

I think I've verified this in the 'clean install' area and by direct examination of my own databases using phpMyAdmin.

Assigning tiki_p_download_files to Anonymous via category permissions on a file gallery doesn't work any more (worked in 18.x).

Image should be downloadable for Anonymous, but isn't.

This was fine in 10.x

The code is still inserted but window is not closed.

Clicking on icon after file upload from text area through toolbar icons fails for me to add the right syntax for that file

Reproduced in https://adup.cat (in case theme style matters, etc)

The code that got inserted said something like "cat" or "file" with no number or fileId, etc.

This should be migrated to the community site, and handled with ((doc:Organic groups)) and ((doc:User Trackers))

It is now possible to comment a file gallery. However, it would be more useful to be able to comment an individual file.

For example, someone uploads an audio or videoclip, others could comment.

We have a nice comparison for wiki, spreadsheet, etc. but not yet something nice for images.

I tested with Tiki19 I think (may be earlier) and it may be caused by PHP version change.

Deeply nested large file galleries slow to a crawl when file browsing. I have a site with roughly 3000 sub-file galleries. The site is quite fast for browsing wiki pages, but the file galleries have slowed to a crawl. A regular page load takes about .2 seconds. To load a typical file gallery takes about 17 seconds. I believe there is a recursive call to a function that is building the directory structure each time you browse to a new folder that is slowing it down, but I'm not really sure about how to fix it.

Perhaps store the tree in the database and only update it when changes are made to the tree?

Unable to delete a file gallery created with admin user. I select the gallery and click the delete icon yet the gallery remains listed.

To reproduce go at in your file gallery, find a file a file that was uploaded several so you have several version files or upload several time the same file to make possible going into the archives folder in the file action menu.

Once in archive tiki-file_archives.php?fileId=
Select several file, select "Delete..." in the dropdown at the bottom of the page.
The page will just refresh.

On my Tiki29.x constantly updated I can see a commit that was made to show the code to insert a file on a wiki page after the upload. It was broken and fixed recently.

At https://29x.demo.tiki.org/tiki-upload_file.php?galleryId=1 the fix is not displayed.

I also checked the git information module that says this Tiki was updated today.

I don't know why but images can not be uploaded to a text area (bug tracker text area in dev.t.o). File gallery view is elFinder, and response is:

To reproduce:
* go to ((Make a wish))
* click at the icon to "Choose or upload images"
+ The pop up window entitle "Browse Files" will show up, with the elFinder interface.
* Click at the Button to upload files (disk icon with a green "plus" sign)
+ the focus goes to the search box, and the user can't do anything else than write into the search box. You can't close the popup window, nor move it, nor resize it.
* If you close the browser window, you'll loose all the information you already typed in the text area (it happened to me once :-/ )

Reproduced with Chrome and Firefox.

Hello,

I've just discovered elFinder feature in Tiki's File Galleries which
allows one to virtually organized images and other media files in
(sub)folders and I'd like to take advantage of it since with
static-site-generators which I used in the past I was able to put images
close to my blog posts.

There is nice feature in File Gallery as Syntax tips showing the syntax
to be used to link the image in the content.

For instance, the wiki syntax to be used in wiki page for my image is:

-+~np~{img fileId="2"}~/np~+-

and link for the file from a Wiki page is

-+~np~[dl2|image.jpg]~/np~+-

so i'd like that the syntax tips can also show 'direct' URL to be used
when using image with e.g. Markdown plugin, which in this case would be:

-+~np~http://mytld/display2~/np~+-

so that one can use the following Markdown syntax:

-+~np~~/np~+-

in Markdown posts.

When I made a Directory Batch importation of files, when I go to the gallery where I put my files, the size of those files is "0 B".

Environment:

Ubuntu Server 8.04
ISPConfig 2

Step to reproduce:

1. Make a new directory outside the TIKIWiki path. (for example Making a new Site with ISPConfig)
2. Configure in the File Gallery Administration panel the path of this directory.
3. check the "store in database" option is selected
4. upload with ftp or copy some files in the thirectory created
5. Open directory Batch
6. Check "Select all" option
7. Check "Remove file extension" option
8. Select a file gallery and "Process Files"

Note: I have also some accented characters in the original filenames. For example "26 Controllo qualità morsettiere.rtf".

this picture shows, that there is no selection box for the selection of a parent gallery for this (new) gallery presented at the form.
