Users are able to customize Forum Threat layout in a menu on top of the threat with number of posts per page, style, sort by. In My Tiki users are able to set this as preference for user to user messages. This should be possible for the Forum layout too!

Some users prefere the Forum old-post-first and all posts on one page, others prefere latest-post-first and 10 or 20 messages per Page. I would like users to set personal preferences for the discussion forum too. Not for each forum, but once per user, globally in myTiki.

This is a standard feature of most bulletin Board software and the TikiForum should have it too :)

!ENH trunk 7x : ability to introduce [breakline] in some texts and their translations

!!Nature of the problem
I many text it is unhallowed to use any markup language and filters are applied to these text.
Nevertheless, regardless HTML the this creates one main problem :

For <label> <input> and others strings with implicit new type "tikitypes" as warnings, comments etc... it is often necessary to have for a good GUI <breakline> at optimized positions.
HTML allows <br /> in all these cases (and all tags for strings into many tags.

Sometimes after translation because the words are longer a simple remark or a label which precede an input which followed himself by buttons-icons see the buttons at the next line.

All these cases needs to allow a [breakline] command which is then the lonely tag allowed.

I made this first for prefs in tiki_admin for labels (particularly when they are dependent and have a disposal on two columns)

The original Pagetop Hero idea included some JavaScript to dynamically relocate a -+top-image+- class image from the wiki page, blog, article, etc. text to the topbar module location. This is demoed at https://themes.tiki.org/Topbar%20hero. This way, the image can be easily specified while editing the page or post content, can easily be specific to the page or post, and there's no need to do any content editing in the admin modules interface. If this JavaScript and the dynamic function it enabled were added to the implemented module code, I think the module would be greatly improved.

Could be great to enhance Tiki Integrator to handle:
*http basic auth
*cookies
*frames

When pages are added to a structure, they appear in chronological order. Placing the pages in order is extremely time intensive. Please consider creating one or more of the following options:

1) A menu choice for alpha sort on a per level basis.
2) The ability to drag and drop entries. (See Netflix queue page.)
3) The ability to manually renumber the page order value and then update all. (See Netflix queue page.)

Additionally, please note that positioning pages by using the up/down icons sometimes creates apparently random placement:

1. One
2. Two
3. Three
4. Four

Selecting the up icon from "3. Three" can sometimes result in:

1. Three <<<< out of place
2. One
3. Two
4. Four

instead of

1. One
2. Three <<< where it should have gone

To ba able to preview (a list of) pages which may change (top pages) and not to have to add start and end tags to every single page.

This improvement in Tiki would be very welcome. After spammers add noise to your site (in one day, 10 comments to different places in your tiki from 10 different ip's!), it would be nice if there was the chance that the tiki admin can ban all those 10 ip's with a minimum number of clicks (besides removing many spam comments at once, which can be done already).

This is some possible way to add if (from the interface point of view):

User selects multiple checkboxes, and clicks on some button below which sends all that information (those ip's from those comments) to fill admin banning data (storing the data already for the 10 ip's at once).
Alternatively, one by one, prefilling the interface one by one.

Currently, German legislature is pondering the implementation of the dreaded article 17 (formerly Article 13) of the EU Copyright Directive into German law. Similar implementations must be under way in all member states.

This Article demands that "platform providers" (as general as this term sounds, this means everyone from Youtube down to a privately run Tiki installation) MUST provide online upload filtering of media that could possibly be copyrighted, which translates into "ALL media" AND a "red button" with which copyright holders are enabled to immediately (!) block content they find and deem infringes their held copyrights.

As the IT magazine "c't" informes, the proposed "German copyright service providers law" describes several stages that user uploaded media MUST go through before they may go online.

Platforms shall sign contracts with copyright organizations such as GEMA (for music) etc. Licensed content may go online directly. Other content will have to undergo online filtering. Depending on filtering results, content may be blocked or the copyright owner may be directly informed of the suspected infringement.

It has been speculated previously, that only VERY large companies like Youtube (Google) will at all be (technically) able to run such filter services, looking at the sheer amount of computing power and I/O bandwidth necessary. Youtube and Co could offer filter services for smaller platforms that lack the ressources, but possibly not free of charge. This has been critized as giving Youtube and Co. huge power and wide control over the internet, given the fact that technically there is no difference between filtering for copyright infringement and filtering for unwanted political content, in other words: Once installed, such filters could easily be used for censorship of the internet. This led to mass protest by young people all over Europe. The ruling conservative party promised angry voters that the implementation of the EU directive would not implement upload filtering, but apparently they broke their promise.

According to the government, filters SHALL be set to "mildly" filter, enabling the majority of content to go online, but mechanisms must be implemented for copyright owners to protest, as well as a "red button" with an immediate (!) takedown effect.

Existing user watch notifications go to the old address even after user changes his/her e-mail.
This is a wish it would update the existing notifications for that user to the current one (current e-mail address).

Should this be done with trackers with the new ((doc:Computed Tracker Field)) and deployed via the ((profile manager))?

Right now, you can't configure an expiration date on the Classifieds.

Related to ((PayPalSubscription)), it would be useful to have a user no longer have group privileges after a certain date.

It looks as though there is a Calendar import feature using CSV (tiki-calendar_import.php) however there are no options to export as CSV in tikiwiki 3.2. The only Calendar export option that I see is exporting to iCal (via tiki-calendar_export_ical.php) but that is not working for our group ([http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?itemId=3152]).

Can Calendar export to CSV be possible?

We are running in a multi tiki environment on Windows Server 2003, tikwiki 3.2 and php 5.3.

You can batch upload a category tree.

You cannot export a category tree.

It would be nice to be able to export your entire category tree.

We have a nice profile to setup all countries in a Category branch.
*If we had a way to export branches, then you would not need to setup profiles to import them.

Export and the subsequent import of Field data is very valuable (and essential) for 'porting' a Tracker design from one TW instance to another.

But as the Tracker functionality has continued to expand, the amount of data that is made available in the Field import/export process has not kept up. e.g Description: Error message: etc. are not currently included.

This means that this data still needs to be typed in again and an existing Tracker design cannot be made available to another TW instance in a 'complete' way.

Expose ((doc:Action log)) data to the pivottable plugin. Some data can be seen through ((doc:Activity Stream)) feature, but it seems it only allows to display tracker item events, and something related to socialnetworking.

I don't know whether this means exposing the action log data to the unified search index or not, but exposing the activity in the site to admins to easily review and visualize with some charts and summary tables what's going on would be very helpful.

BigBlueButton 2.4 comes with a new feature called __Learning Analytics Dashboard__ (LAD from now on)

By default, the data behind this dashboard is deleted 2 minutes after the meeting finishes, but there is preference in bbb that can be changed to avoid deleting this meeting data.

By default data for the Learning Dashboard are kept for 2 minutes after a session ends and then are removed permanently.

In order to make the Learning dashboard persistent, you need to change the variable learningDashboardCleanupDelayInMinutes in /usr/share/bbb-web/WEB-INF/classes/bigbluebutton.properties.


To keep the learning dashboard data permanently, change the value to 0: LearningDashboardCleanupDelayInMinutes=0.

Once you make this please restart the bbb by running bbb-conf –restart.

In order to access the dashboard data you need to supply

1. The internal meeting id of the meeting, which is same as the directory name under /var/bigbluebutton/learning-dashboard/ on your server
2. The access token for the learning dashload, which is same as the subdirectory name under /var/bigbluebutton/learning-dashboard/<internal meeting Id>/

Then the learning dashboard can be accessed through https://your.bbb.com/learning-dashboard/?meeting=<internal meeting Id>&report=<access token>

It would be nice to see a summary of attendance to a meeting, which would help to make meeting notes in use cases in which that document is needed and needs to be written: and recording needs to be played again to catch all attendants to a meeting, and eventually who where just listeners and which ones participated in any form (audio, chat, etc)

This extra information could be linked somehow from the report shown through ((doc:PluginBigBlueButton)) next to the recordings of a room, so that, besides the recording, you could access the log of that LAD.
Storing LAD data could be made optional (like the recording currently is) from within the PluginBigBlueButton in Tiki. If enabled, then the link to display the LAD would be shown next to the recording link, for those users in groups with the perm to see the recording.

Additionally, the bigbluebutton-api-php already has params to control LAD. Example:

It would be handy to have more internal wiki variables exposed as Wiki Argument Variables.
eg version, description, last author etc

The reason is simple. Reuse instead of repeat.
I for example am setting up tiki to keep and maintain ISO 9001 and HACCP documents and records.
The standards require each file to have version and associative info to it which works fine when viewing online but when printing, all the above have to be re-entered manually and updated on every change on every page.

((doc:PluginGanttChart)) is a very promising feature in Tiki for real-world uses cases of project management

We lack the ability to filter results provided to the plugin gantt chart by means of filtering content from the unified search index, in an equivalent way to what it's possible in other ((doc:PluginList))-based plugins using [https://doc.tiki.org/PluginList-filter-control-block|the -+filter+- control block]. phpBB is a popular open source forum software.
Sometimes, a forum is not enough.
So, the data must be migrated from phpBB to Tiki forums...

I have almost completed an integrated TikiWiki forum migration tool for 1.9.8.x and 1.10. Initial release will be to migrate only Tiki forums from one Tiki install to another. However, hooks are in place, and the intention is there, to work on extending the migration tool to importing of phpBB2 (or any other forum software) into Tiki. If you would like more information, email tiki.kerrnel@kerris.com. I expect a general release of the forum migration tool (for Tiki forums only) into cvs of both branches for beta testing by December 1/07. If all goes well, I'll have something released for phpBB2 migration prior to Dec 31.
