Two Tracker GUI issues (Tiki 21x):

1) when I move a tracker field higher or lower (e.g. drag & drop) in a Tracker, then that field always 'pop's-up', as if I clicked on it to open it. Here is a screencast of the issue:

This did not happen before, now the user needs to make extra clicks to keep working.

Also, it's important to click 'Cancel' on the pop-up - if you click 'Save', then the 'drag & drop' movement of the Tracker field will be annulled and you will have to repeat the action.

2) when I create a new Tracker Field than click 'Add Field and Edit Advanced Options' this action does not work, meaning that the new tracker field is saved, but does not 're-open' to 'edit the advanced options' like it used to.

It's like these two actions got switched around somehow.

UPDATE Wed. Nov. 04, 2020:
*odd, I do not have 'Comments' available (visible) at the bottom of this bug report, so am adding information here.
*The problem reported gets more interesting - in addition to point #2 above, not only does the button 'Add Field and Edit Advanced Options' not work, but if clicked, the field you were trying to create disappears (?!), as if it was never created! I re-refreshed the page, but still, the field that was supposed to be created is not there, as if this button is now a 'delete' or 'cancel' button (:surprised:)(:rolleyes:)(:eek:)(:eek:)

After a new install (db creation).
I activate the tracker feature and create a tracker.

MediaWiki/Wikipedia has an interesting way of dealing with meta-data concerning a wiki page. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Infobox|Infobox] is very flexible and is very suitable to an encyclopedia. It's easy to create new ones and they are very flexible to adapt to the topic. As soon as a bunch of pages have something in common, you can create one and it gives visitors and quick overview of what characteristics this entry has.

There are over a hundred of these templates:

This is a great way to have ad-hoc, organically growing meta-data around wiki pages which share some sort of structured/comparative data.

In TikiWiki, we use ((doc:trackers)) for tabular data. We need to have an even tighter integration.

Goal: that the metadata be stored both in the wiki page and the trackers
That you can update in one or the other. This would permit us to make lists/tables with all the data from all the infoboxes, without duplicating the data. (not sure if/how to do this with MediaWiki)

We'd need a Wiki Page field-type in trackers. Say I have an "Animals" tracker with all the Meta-Data. One of the fields should be the name of the associated wiki page. And that wiki pages "knows" to get latest data from tracker (like we do now for ((doc:PluginTrackerList)) and ((doc:PluginTrackerItemField)).

insert tracker item with modal window fails due to form refresh when choosing page name from dropdown options (in a tracker field wiki page name)

Apparently it is not possible to create a multi selection field in a tracker "Unterstützungsmeldungen" with the option "Mit einem regelmäßigen Foerderbeitrag".

This results in a permanent name unterstuetzungsmeldungenMitEinemRegelmassigenForderbeitrag, which will produce multiple (seven!) errors when a user fills in the form.

There seems to be a constraint on the length which is not monitored upon creation of the tracker. It should not be possible to create tracker and field names and options that will, as a result, make the tracker fail!

Also, the exact numerical limit is intransparently unknown. I will have to look into the DB to find out...

For some use cases, the arguments for multi selection or checkboxes MUST be quite long. It is legally not sufficient to just record "user has checked a checkbox" when this in effect leads to a contract. The full text of the option, as displayed to the user, must be recorded. This is especially important for options where a user entitels the org running the Tiki to make repeated SEPA withdrawals from bank accounts!

On Tiki22 in the tracker interface.

There are case were you want to delete an item and you are proposed a replacement as other trackers items refer to this item.

IE: Item bernard was created several times (doublons, twice "bernard" items).

Some other items in other trackers were created using as reference (item link) those doublons.

So I have in the end several items created that refer to "bernard"-a or "bernard"-b

If I want to clean this and remove one of the doublons I have the following message:

(I tried to add another field to be a second title to see if I can clarify but no joy).

I can see in the DOM code that the 2 bernard refers to a different items one being the item I want to remove. So I proceed and re-assign to one of them. But the item is still here and if I try to delete it now I have 5 attached items... But worst, when I reach 2 other items and then no matter what I can’t delete the item there will be always 2 items prohibiting the removal. Something is broken in the logic and that really really bad !

2/ Shouldn’t we omit in the search result the very same item I want to remove. (that doesn’t make sense to display it)

3/ Shouldn’t we add something next to the item title to help understand (itemId is good for dev but not user friendly)

On A tiki23 I have a user tracker.
Then I have a second tracker with an itemLink for where I can select one or several users.

In a customSearch I can't find any of them.

Nelson Ko and Marc Laporte were planning to work on tiki at ((tw:TikiFestToronto)) but something else came up so it's still on todo list :-)

our viki installed on linux platform with apache 2.0.58 , mysql 5.0.41, and php 5.2.3.

we has a tracker with 740 items. recently i found, it goes slowly (more than 2 minutes) if i insert or update an item into this tracker. I can't figure out the reason. could someone please give me some advice?

I register with additional Information in a tracker.
Registration works fine, but the userID (=email address) dont show up in the tracker list. But in the Database at users_users it is there.

after new tracker item is added there should be any variable like itemId or lastItemId that can be used after adding, like:

A category field in a tracker is not displayed in list view, nor in item view/edit.

There's a small issue on dev.tiki.org. So that should be the same with the corresponding feature (tracker) on tiki 8.1.

When looking at my "bug and wish list", all my tickets are listed in the 3 categories: open, pending and closed. Apparently the status filtering is not done correcly.

If I edit an attachment field on a tracker and click OK, in Firebug I get a 500 internal server error when it POSTs with something like the following, and it does not save my changes...

During edition (creation) of a tracker the use of the format button "code" (plugin) generates when the "close" button of the plugin panel is used :

1- Stop of all edition of the tracker which is saved as it was before the action on the button "code"

2- The tracker remains not completed, not to be edited to end the redaction of the message.

It is sure that not everything can be edited, but it is the edition of a tracker.

Some feature to be better in categorizing trackers of dev.tiki site, I suggest to introduce :

* Styles parameters

* Styles display defaults and appearance

* Options in tiki.org site

* Texts of interface : defaults or suggestions

When you use on whishlist of dev.tiki.org the option "listyour", you get an unsorted list.

The most useful list is inverted sort by ID.

To get this you need :
#to sort by id
#Use again the column header to sort in reverse order.

I place it in bug usability and whishlist.

The first default display should be : ID reverse order sorted

As the title describes :

In the panel of a tracker (Bugs and wishes tracker on dev.tiki.org) the tab title for "comments" don't gives any information if exists comments, while the numbers of uploads of files have the number of uploads.
It should be a progress to see into tabs headers if a tracker have generated and how many comments and with a symbol (stars ?) the volume of comments
