tiki-browse_categories.php order of magnitude slower to load compared to other tiki-function_subfunction pages
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"}
I have noticed that if I browse to tiki-browse_categories.php I have to wait an order of magnitude longer for the page to load compared to any other tiki system page. There are about 400 categories in the database.

If this delay is most visible when viewing tiki-browse_categories.php, is there a possibility that fractions of that delay are spread across the rest of the website depending on how many categories are associated with each wiki page?

If so have I found a bottle-neck that could be optimised?

tiki-ml-list machine learning 404 Not found in tiki25
FYI, there is no machine learning category in the Feature drop down of this report form.
Anyhow I enabled machine learning in the control panel.
After clicking machine learning then list models in the from the system model

I get a 404 error as shown in the image here.

to be synched/fetched: event details of of Calendar event and details in a Tracker item with Tracker field Calendar item
__Objective:__

The objective of my feature request is a more efficient way to create, to edit and to display Calendar event data, when used together with a Tracker.

This would be useful especially in the context of project management tools like Kanban (under heavy development) and Trackercalendar.

All features and functionality like Trackercalendar, Kanban, Calendar events, should provide different simple and versatile views, based on the very same Calendar item and thus be freely combined and happily created by simply filling one simple Tracker form.

__Use case example / context and problem:__

I got the idea whilst working on a Tiki 25.0vcs (InnoDB, git, ...) for a small personal private office project, where I test a bunch of features.

I made a 'Task' list with Tracker ... this is planned to be used together with Kanban.

The 'Task' list contains a field type 'date and time (calendar event)' which creates a calendar event when the Tracker item is created. As far as I understand, the Tracker item displays the Start date (and time) of the Calendar event, which is connected / related to the respective Tracker item.

This is working fine and it is even possible to switch the relation of the Tracker item to another existing calendar event.
The name of the Tracker item will be the title of the Calendar event (which is good!)

Sadly the actual date and time is the only data that seems to be displayed in the Tracker item so far.
Imho it would be important to have the option to share the same item description for the Tracker item and the Calendar event.

Currently I can create a Tracker field 'Textarea' in the Tracker and use it as description.
But there is no option, that this description textarea would be displayed as decription of the calendar item. Aswell it is not possible to display the Calendar event's description in the Tracker item.

When the Tracker item is created it is only possible to distinguish the Calendar item's start date.
Only after creation the Tracker item can be displayed and from there an edit-button pressed and then the details of the Calendar item edited, like Start date and End date, duration, description, participants, and all the other data of a calendar event.
This process needs to be simplyfied.
All these data details needs to be optionally displayed in the Tracker and in the Calendar, in a way that Tracker and Calendar just provide a different view on the same event.

__Following additional functionality would be required:__

# Add a Tracker field type ' Calendar event details' to display data from the Calendar event that is (currently) connected to the Tracker item.
+
# This Tracker field type shall have options (maybe comma separated list) to display the content of one or more Calendar event fields like End date, duration, description, participants, etcetera.
+
# It shall be possible that several Tracker fields of type ' Calendar event details' exist in one Tracker item. This way this field type could be used
** either similar to a field type "item list' (display several calendar details in one Tracker field)
** or similar to a field type 'dynamic item list', respectively 'item link' (display one Calendar event detail per Tracker field for more detailed display option)
+
# The Tracker field type 'Calendar event' should provide the option (to the user) to distiguish and completely fill out all Calendar event data details at the time of Tracker item creation.
+The user should not be required additional steps to reopen the event for then providing the Calendar details that he would have wanted to provide in the first place.
+
# For long time the Trackercalendar did use no calendar items but individual 'date and time' fields to create a calendar like planning tool for ressources. As far as I know the Trackercalendar was not any connected with the calendar feature. Imho it would be a good idea to create the start and end dates of the Trackercalender by using the field type 'Calendar event'

Toggle or select all checkbox at tiki-admin_actionlog.php
At tiki-admin_actionlog.php the admin need to check each box one by one and there are quite a few if you want to select all.
We should have a select all (while toggle will be ok but less adapted IMO).

It may have to do with the user interface.
It is not user-friendly and even reading the help online (good interface should be understandable without help) it is unclear how to use it until you tried a few times.

Topbar Navbar modules; Changes from Tiki24 and inconsistency between RTL and LTR
On Tiki 24 using the Classic Bootstrap layout with the default theme, the module were centered in LTR and RTL.

{img type="fileId" fileId="1890" thumb="box"}

{img type="fileId" fileId="1891" thumb="box"}

On Tiki 25 things changed (logo module?) and I believe it was wanted to align the modules to the "start" of the selected language.
LTR => left
RTL => right

While it look like justify-start for RTL (and I like better than centered or space between)
In LTR it look space between is applied (and that not a happy design on desktop)

I think the change (if it was intended) make sense in 2022 and modules should use "start".
What is set should be the same for LTR and RTL

Tracker Currency Field not working
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"}
I created the System Tracker as described in doc.tiki.org with currency, rate,date fields.
I added a currency field to my tracker and left all properties of the field as default.
When I enter amount and item name and transaction date, then click save it says :
The following mandatory fields are missing: Value Currency
{img fileId="2057" thumb="box"}{img fileId="2058" thumb="box"}{img fileId="2059" thumb="box"desc="System Tracker Fields"}

What am I doing wrong?
Do I have the correct system tracker currency field types?

Tracker fields options: move "Same Row" option to the same place for all fields to improve consistency (UX)
On Tiki23 in a tracker I set a "Text Field" and enter in the "Options for Text Field".
The parameter "Same Row" is the first (second if you use multilingual)

On the same tracker I set an "Text Area Field" and enter in the "Options for Text Area".
The parameter "Same Row" is at the bottom

This is not a good UX.
Things, like parameter names and positions, should be the same anywhere so the user feel comfortable and is not confused.

Tracker List Wiki Template NOT working
I checked this is 25.1 and 25.2 and it is not working in both versions:
{trackerlist trackerId="11" fields="60" wiki="template-team-backlog"}
There is no output on the wikipage to indicate any errors.
I have set the template to allow it to be used as a template.

I use this feature a lot in 24 so now i need a fix or a work around

Tracker properties, Status; Inconsistantcy between display preferences and status options
On the trackers properties we have 2 areas to control tracker status display and usage.

"Display" shows 2 preferences (checkboxes on/off):
* Show status
* Show status to tracker administrator only

"Status" (visible even if status is disable) shows options:
* New item status (o,p,c - dropdown)
* Modified item status (no change, o,p,c - dropdown)
* Default status displayed in list mode (o,p,c - Multiselect)

But there are inconsistencies !
For example;
- Both of the Display can be disable => __Status is not used__
- New item status can be set to __Pending__
- Default status displayed in list mode can be set to __Open__

As result, if you create an item it won't be displayed !
New item created is Pending and List shows Open item is applied. ??‍♂️

If Status is disable, it should be really disabled and nothing should interfere. (the sub options should be hidden, grayed, disabled)

If would make sens to regroup things under the same area.
* Add the options as child of the feature on/off switch
* Regroup the feature and option under Status

Tracker, calendar item field; It is possible to save the tracker fields without calendar Id action which lead to a permission error (bad verbose)
On a tracker when you set a Date and time field (calendar Item) and no calendar Id is set, editing the event on the item will lead to a permission error and an ajax wheel forever.

The error should be explicit; No calendar Id has been set in the tracker field (or the calendar Id parameter should be mandatory in the field options ?).

WIP: Trackers, Cascade actions seems to happen even when it is set to no and items don't keep filtered status item link value if status is changed
It seems that Cascade actions are now being applied even if is set to "No" (no cascade actions should be applied).

I have a new issue with status change for previously saved item.

I have a catalog tracker with items and I'm using status for items that are available in the catalog (open = for sale) and not for sale (pending = not ready yet and close = removed from the catalog).

I have orders tracker with an item link. The item link is set with "Status Filter" set to open, so customers see only the items for sale and the "Cascade actions" setting is set to "No".

A month or two month ago that was working fine and previously saved orders kept the value of the ordered product no matter what status it has;

My Order tracker field Product is an item link that point to the Product tracker and is set to display only open items (product for sale)
#ProductA had status open on August
#CustomerA bought in august ProductA => OrderA is created with ProductA
#ProductA status changed to close in September = Product can not be seen when creating a new order

__But now__ when I look back at the OrderA (and it wasn't edited since) the Product is now empty. ?

Of course this is clearly a problem, shouldn't setting the "Cascade actions" set to "No" prevent that alteration of a saved item ?

Tracker, Dropdown field; 2 options can't have the same value (one is not displayed)
In a fresh Tiki25 I have a dropdown field type with different values.
The doc say:
If an option contains an equal sign, the part before the equal sign will be used as the value, and the second part as the label
I tried the following where several can have the same value.

In my mind if the user select "yes" or "no" the value will be 1 and if the user assign "not today" the value will be 0.

But it is not working like this.
It seems the value must be unique while I can have several of the same label.

So if I set the field options to : 1=yes,1=no,not today=0
It won't work (the first 1 value won't be displayed)

So if I set the field options to : 1=yes,10=yes,not today=0
It kind of work and display twice the label yes

This is awkward from the user point of view...

Tracker, Multilingual, Search: Item title is not consistent and is changed each time a user with a different language edit and save.
On a Tiki24 with tracker and multilingual.
I have a tracker with a multilingual field Name and this field is selected as title.

So for my item237 the Name field has 3 values (one for each language I use):
English: Hourly hour
French: Taux horaire
Hebrew: תעריף לשעה

If I edit the item while the Tiki is set to English as pref.language , the title value saved in the unified-index will be "Hourly hour".
But If later I edit the same item while the Tiki is set to French as pref.language , the title value saved in the unified-index will be changed to "Taux horaire"... and so on.

{file type="gallery" fileId="1794" showicon="y"}

The unified-index "Title" should be consistent and shouldn't depend on the language the editor of an item is using.

Tracker, Multilingual; All editing is lost if omitting translation of a mandatory field (used to work with default language)
On a Tiki 23 set to use multilingual I have a tracker with multilingual fields.
When a multilingual field is empty, by default the Tiki site default language is used.

IE :
I have 3 languages (en, fr, he)
My tracker has a Name field
I insert only the "en" value for the name field

By default the value of the "en" field will be used as value for "fr" and "he" as long as I don't insert their relevant values.

However this behaviour has been modified recently.
If my Name is mandatory then now ALL the fields must be filled before saving.
Else all the editing is lost with the following error:

×
Error
The following mandatory fields are missing: Name, Name
×
Error
Tracker item could not be created.

---

Step to reproduce (instance seems stuck).
# Enable multilingual, restrict to 3 languages (en,fr,he).
# Create a tracker
# Create a "Name" text field and in the option enable multilingual.
# Create other fields (text is ok)
# Check in the fields list that the first field created (Name), check it is mandatory.
+ As it is your first field it is also set as the tracker item title. Please test the fix with title set and unset.
# Create a first item, for the Name (multilingual enable) you should see 3 fields, one for each language.
# Fill only one field (en) and save
Nothing will be save and Tiki will output an error message.

This is a regression.
Previously having at least one value for a multilingual field set as title was enough (it was used for all language).

Additional comments:
There are many cases were only ONE language field will be filled with a value and the other empty and that's why it is critical to allow saving items even if not all languages fields are filled.
# You have translators working together (each one fill his language values at different time)
# You activate the option on an existing tracker with data already saved
# You create first a version with one language planning to add the other language later
# ...

Tracker, Multilingual; The tracker action button is misplaced (stays right) when using an RTL language
On a Tiki24 the tracker action menu is misplaced on RTL language.
This is because the class sm-right that is applied here.

Trackers, new switch to protect trackeritems based on status so they can't be altered
We discussed that here and there and I though I had a wish for it but I can't find it...

There are several cases where enforcing items protection and make sure they will never be altered is critical; Orders, Invoices, Accounting, over the years test or comparisons, etc.

While Admins can prevent and item to be edited a trackeritem can be altered by Tiki code actions; linked item modification, indexing, cascading actions, etc. There are many possibility an item is altered and neutralizing all does look possible (and you need to avoid using several of good Tiki features like not using tracker status).

I would like to see a new option for the tracker status, __lock the values of closed items__, so Items with the "Close" status can't be altered anymore no matter what. (unless status is changed of course ?)

When that new switch is turned on, we could see a short notice on "Cascade actions", "Re-calculation event" and other tracker fields options to warn the admin that this option won't affect closed items. (awareness)

Tracker, Rating field; The tooltip (mouseover) should show the label of the vote option and not the value.
On Tiki24 using a tracker you can set a Rating field (after enabling it from the Tracker admin console panel).
While you need to use values for the voting mechanism, you can set labels for these values in the tracker field options.

However when seeing it on a tracker item, when you want to cast you vote/rating the mouseover will display the value instead of the label.

Tracker, validation; Editing an existing item with a validation option set as distinct cannot be saved (considered as a second item)
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"}
As seen on the video attached, In a Tiki25 I use trackers with an IP field. The validation for this field is set to distinct.

If I later edit an existing item it will be impossible to save it. It seems like the code view it as a new item instead of an existing item I modify.

Due to this problem, I can't modify (and save) the item: validation will failed (an item with this IP exist already)

In the video attached we can see that I can't change the status from Open to Close.

Notes: If I do the same operation using the Tiki Trackers list view (batch actions) it work just fine.

TrackerCalendar display in list (agenda) mode fails (never ending spinner and nothing shown)
((doc:PluginTrackerCalendar)) allows to display tracker items in calendar view, as well as resource view.
An extra option was suported by fullcalendar lib and ported to tiki a few years ago, which displays items in "list" view, which is like an "agenda" view of items from the tracker calendar info.
https://doc.tiki.org/PluginTrackerCalendar#List_views

In Tiki 24.x this list view is not shown, and some neverending spinner is displayed instead.
Reproduced in short in a show instance here:
---

When attempting to reproduce it I realized where the problem was: -+listYear+- as default view doesn't exist as such (even if the button in the UI says "List Year" for that param, but the param internally is "-+list+- (while all the others related to list are listMonth, listWeek, lkistDay

Solved. Closing report and removing show instance.

Trackers Relation, Search; Search behaviour is different from other places and make object harder find
On most of Tiki search tools, I can look for items using the object title with partial terms.
bernard will output : bernard-sfez, bernard sfez, etc.

The same is not true using the tracker field relation find
bernard will output : bernard sfez (only)

To find "bernard-sfez" I have to type the entire string.
This is not consistent with the other place a user may look up for something.
This make this feature harder to use

I even feel like they were a change in behaviour at some point of Tiki23.

Trackers, Action; Deleting an item with itemlinks require to do the operation twice (an error is quickly displayed)
I have items with multiple item links in a Tiki25.
They are all independent (they use an itemlink but no other item is using them).

From the tracker interface, when I try to delete them I see a replacement selector.
I do not wish to replace it with a different one, I just want to delete the item so I keep it empty and submit.

An error is displayed quickly in the background and the item is not deleted.
If I redo the same operation, I don't have a replacement selector and I can delete the item.
