failed to set proper "include_path" in tw 1.9.8.x
Hello I had a lot of warning when i upgraded to tw 1.9.8.1 this morning. It talked about include_once() problem and include_path. Many things to say about: php in safe_mode (deprecated) cannot modify ini value ! ini value set in apache conf with php_admin_value cannot be modified ! all scripts using "TikiInit::prependIncludePath()" have to check the return value of the method because init_set and set_include_path can return FALSE. In this case, an error message should be printed to the user, and/or logged. Here is a list of files using this method. - db/tiki-db.php - tiki-install.php - tiki-setup.php |

Favicon not correctly implemented.
The implementation of favicons is incorrect for types other than .png. Tiki currently renders the favicon as: {CODE(caption="Current rendering",ishtml="0")}<link rel="icon" href="favicon.png" /> {CODE} Notice that there is no declaration of MIME type (very bad). If you goto Administration | Look & feel | Other, there is a pull-down box to select the favicon icon MIME type, which gives choices: * image/png * image/bmp (wrong!) * image/x-icon (wrong!) None of these selections actually effect the LINK tag! In other words, someone forgot to implement the MIME attribute of the link tag. Even if it was implemented, these choices would be wrong (see solution). Also on the Look & feel | Other page, there is a 32 character limit on the favicon icon file name. This limit is too small and is problematic for sites where the favicon is not located in the tiki root directory. |

favicon settings: 3 issues
tiki-admin.php?page=general 1- favicon box is limited to 32 characters. This is not enough for people using multiki. 2- When I try to change path to favicon, it doesn't save. 3- How do I deactivate this feature? Shouldn't this feature be in Site identity? |

Feature broken: Attachments to inbound emails not saved.
I'm running 1.9.2. I am unable to get the attachment portion of inbound emails to show up as an attachment to a forum post or wiki page. I expect this also applies to analogous emails of other types of content. I think this was working in January 2006. I will be posting a related issue in the next item. It deals with e-mails to forums having "Use this thread to discuss the [tiki-index.php?page=xxx|xxx] page." added to the body of the forum post, as if it was a Discussion of a wiki page. |

feature_redirect_on_error (in tiki-admin.php?page=features) doesn't seem to do anything
If the page I am looking for doesn't exist, Tiki will send to a similar page (if only one) or to the list of pages (if many) This is interesting. However, I may not want this behavior if I am building my wiki pages from the menu 1- create menu and 2 click on it to create page and thus testing the link. This new feature (which wasn't there before) creates a new behavior that maybe should be the default. But it should be possible to turn it off. AFAICT, feature_redirect_on_error (in tiki-admin.php?page=features) doesn't seem to do anything in 1.9 or 1.10 Redirect on error seems to always be on. |

File Gallery: Batch upload (Unzip all zip files) should be optional
Right now, it's a group permission (tiki_p_batch_upload_files) but if I give tiki_p_admin_file_galleries, it included tiki_p_batch_upload_files, which is not always what I want. (It adds clutter to the interface, when uploading a file) It should be an option here: tiki-admin.php?page=fgal And maybe add a check to see if this is supported by the server (if easy) |

For incoming RSS feeds -- escaped entities (&) in URL are not replaced with entities (&)
In the RSS module part of Tikiwiki, incoming RSS feeds are incorrectly parsed. Escaped entities (& ' " etc.) have to be replaced with the entities themselves when the RSS feed is viewed. However, this is not done. As a result, when a user clicks on the links, the link still has references to (&) which makes it an invalid URL. The problem is in "parse_rss_data" function of rsslib.php |

Forum has problem displaying a long svn commit mail
Hi, I tried to set up a forum as archive for the commit emails from our svn. It kind of works, but yesterday there was a long commit email. Our commit emails also contain the diff which was committed. This one contained also html pages, so there was html-markup in the email. Additionally the email was *very* long. I disabled wiki syntax for the forum. Nevertheless, there were two problems: the html markup in the email was interpreted, i.e. rendered as html instead of displayed as plain text. I'm not sure whether this is a bug or a feature request. I would prefer if it would just display the message as plain text. The rendered html was all over the page, i.e. it escaped the text box. And it already appeared on the page which should actually list only the threads, not show the post contents. It seems it was maybe only an error message (which as described above caused another problem). This is how the displayed wiki html page starts: --------8<---------------8<---------------------8<----------------------- This is TikiWiki v1.9.10.1 -Sirius- © 2002–2007 by the Tiki community Thu 23 of Oct, 2008 [15:26] + + +Definition at line 50 of file interface.c. + +References MAXSIZE. --------8<---------------8<---------------------8<----------------------- (the lines with the plus signs come from the commit mail). Then the tikiwiki boxes start.
