It would be good to make the 'User' (i.e. user name) a required field when adding a new Tiki User (Admin Users)

Recently, I tested adding a new user without this (left blank), but added the password (2x) and an email. Tiki went the the next step, 'Confirm adding new user', then went to the full user list. Of course it was not visible anywhere in the full list of users (only one page, under 10 users total).

Also, it might make sense to change the name from 'user' to 'user name', or even more direct 'login'.

__Hey there Tikiwiki dev team !__

I've been looking all over for info about this, but even on the irc channel, no one seems to know what to do about my issue : I'm pretty new to all this, and I enabled spreadsheets in my tikiwiki platform. I can list spreadsheets, create new ones, edit them.

I chose a jquery theme that allows a pretty good display in spreadsheet (I can see multiple selections, all menus are displayed correctly). Only trouble is : none of the menus in the three drop-down menus in the upper-left corner (edit/view/style) seem to operate.

''__Other contextual menus__'' (when right-clicking on the sheet, or in the column labels) ''__work fine__'', but when I click any of the three above-mentionned buttons (edit/view/style), even though the submenus are displayed, ''it doesn't seem like I'm acutally clicking anything'' : nothing happens, and it doesn't "feel" like my clicking is even registered.

I have tried on my current platform which runs on Ubuntu in a Virtual Machine, I've also tried on the online 15.0 demo platform you provide on your website, and another person from your IRC has also tried and we all get the same result.

So I thought maybe you guys could help ?

I upgraded from 1.85 to 1.9.0 without any problems. Things were working fine. Today, however, I logged in to access the admin area, and no admin links from the menu! All gone! What do I need to do to fix this? How can I access the admin area without links?

When I go to administer modules I recieve this error.

This problems started after I upgraded to 2.0. I do not know what any of this means and need some direction.

On tracker Check Out:
Orders are correctly registered in the data base and correctly handled with payment
But in Cart Trackers
* If I buy one product it is registered in Orders Tracker
* If I buy several products the first one is registered in Orders Tracker ... the others are correctly registered in Order Items Tracker

I have the following problem:

we wanted to upgrade our old tiki 2.2 to the new tiki 4.0 but there are some problems.

after using tiki-install.php to upgrade the old tiki to the new one the image galleries doesn't work anymore, even though it is activiated in the features menu.

the problem is the following:
every time i want to go to tiki-galleries.php i get the following error:

the problem is as you see there is no error message only the query is displayed.

i tried to install a vanilla 4.0 and created two galleries where each of it has one image in it and it works fine

i compared the database tables tiki_images, tiki_images_data and tiki_galleries and they seem to have the same structure

i tried to copy the tables mentioned above from the upgraded tiki into a clean install and still get the error above

possible problem seems to be with the tiki_image table as it works fine without the images in the image tables - but the error appears only after i copy the image tables into the database

it would be nice if someone could help me / fix this problem as it would take some time to reupload all the images (then probably into the file galleries)

and besides that is there a tool that moves the images from the image gallery to the file gallery for future use?

edit: all the other php files work like tiki-list_gallery.php and tiki-browse_gallery.php

I am using Tiki Wiki 17. ( was not available to choose from,above).

I am trying to copy a .bsa file to my file gallery:

Small .bsa files can be dragged and dropped into the tiki upload menu.
575M .bsa files fail to be uploaded

When I first attempted this, I was using Tiki 16.2, and I was not getting any error messages.

So, I upgraded to Tiki groupware 17.

I now get a consistent error message using Chrome, Opera, Firefox, Comodo, Safari)
When uploading, I get this message
AJAX: error 0 (rejected) for URL: tiki-ajax_services.php?controller=file&action=upload_multiple

What do I do to resolve this, so any user can upload large files to my site?

I have googled the error message but nothing shows.
I have used the forums and faqs on this site to verify no other conditions are required to handle

I have contacted my worthless tech support and they say it is your issue.

Also, I used the 'contact us' button on your main site to query why my login does not work unless I
use 'forgot password' EVERY time. Only on dev.tiki.org, does it work pefectly.

In 3.2, one can create a personal page in MyTiki and use an Avatar (I see from the Community it wasn't always available & I appreciate the feature), but I would like an Administrative feature that could turn these off while still allowing users to access their Preference Screen, especially for changing their password and email address.

User pages and avatars could take up a great deal of space if there are a lot of users. I'd like to turn off the ability of users to have user-pages and avatars. If there's a way to do that now, please let me know, because I've looked everywhere for a way to do that (and there's a note not to edit templates unless you really know what you're doing and I somewhat know, but I'm afraid of creating a problem).

Allow profiles to be found by associated freetag in profiles.t.o through the "Control Panel > Profiles" search box

Profiles.t.o currently runs on tiki 12, but it could be easily (probably) upgraded to Tiki15 if needed.

According to jonnyb in a trm, freetags text need to be added to the unified index, or something like that.

Current feature Profiles in the Control Panels in Tiki searches profile names by category filters (15.x, etc).

Most profiles in profiles.t.o were reviewed in the last years and the suitable ones were added to the ((Profiles Wizard)), in most cases, and added tags to them to facilitate the discovery of profiles that will let you learn how to master feature X or Y that you might be more interested in (e.g., trackers in general, plugin listexecute, spreadsheets, tracker field itemlink, mathematical calculation field, staging and approval, etc).

Searching profiles from within Tiki by tags (folksonomy-based search) is not yet possible. The interface is ready to search by categories (top-down approach, if the naming of the profile doesn't match your expectations, you will miss it probably). "Who knows that Barter_Market will let you practice with itemslist tracker fields? or which profiles will let you learch how to use maps with tracker items? or with convene plugin? or with listexecute plugin? etc.

We currently allow the profiles control panel to search by profile name filtering by category matching the corresponding tiki version. __We should allow that profiles control panel (and /or the Profiles Wizard interface!) to search by tag name while filtering by the same category corresponding to the corresponding tiki version.__

When logging into my site under various accounts the Apache web server intermittently crashes with the following error in the error log:

I have not made any modifications to the TikiWiki code (1.9.6) or changes to my server configuration. Everything was working normally for several months before the error started to appear.

I am able to force a similar crash to occur every time throught the Community -> User List feature (tiki-list_users.tpl). I debugged the template code and found that userlink in the following caused the crash:

The article feature has a setting, where you can define the sort order. It's a drop down list, but with just one option:

When I post an article on Tiki with a future publication date, the regular interface correctly keeps it from being visible, but the mobile mode lets it pass through. Is the mobile interface not checking the publication date?

Seems like it's only this way, when logged in as admin.

Since the use of Bootstrap in Tiki (13.x+), wide tables (like many of the ones we use in dev.t.o to display bugs and their associated variables) display a bunch of columns hidden, and the scrollbar is only shown at the bottom of the whole table.

New users might not notice that there are columns on the right hand side of the table, designed to be shown (like in our case, the column "Comments", which indicates which bugs have been commented, by whom and when, to facilitate info to the viewer about bugs that received feedback and more opinions/replies might be expected, etc).

If equally complex to implement, I would cast my vote for Footable jquery plugin, for what I've seen in their website as end user.

I've recently noticed that current trunk (r67636, soon to be 19.x) has Profiles Wizard feature fixed finally (yay, thanks to all those of you who made it possible!), but 18.x still shows spurious errors (for the end user experience) in the basic path to apply the featured profiles from the profiles wizard.

We need whichever fixes are needed in 18.x implemented in the LTS version of Tiki

Issue: Can't easily utilize FADE function. Assumption is when utilizing tiki on an active website, it will behave the same as a local server.

Request: Remove FADE as a plugin and instead make it part of TIKI so a user can just add FADE tags herself.

Benefits:
* This will ALWAYS work as opposed to right now, FADE magic wand won't
activate after it was already clicked on.

* User can drag and drop items into a wiki page and keep current formatting.
Yes formatting is intact when pasting, but NOT when pasting inside the current fade menu.

* User can edit at any time, move the faded items any where and keep formatting inside the FADE tags. Information is only handled once.

Example:
User opens a new tiki page utilizing the wysiwig editor.
User would paste formatted items into her page.

User adds FADE tags without clicking on the magic wand.

Expectations: When using WYSIWIG editor.

We have to move our tiki to a new provider because of the PHP memory limit. No problem, but we will only have an SSL proxy, but no own SSL domain.

Now I am testing: especially admin pages do not work. They use absolute links sending me not to https://ssl-proxy.com/mydomain.tld/adminpage.php, but to https://ssl-proxy.com/adminpage.php. Obviously this does not work.

As a first workaround I did two changes:
- in /lib/smarty_tiki/block.selflink.php I changed in line 44 $default_type from 'absolute_path' to 'relative'.

- in lib/smarty_tiki/block.title.php I changed in line 40
'_type' from 'absolute_path' to 'relative', too.

But now I had another broken link when removing an item from a menu. As it seems the problem cannot be solved by just changing one or two lines.

Is there a feature I do not know to solve this problem or is it a bug?

I've spotted a bug on the forums.

===Here is a case scenario~hs~:===
* Lets say that I have a forum thread in forumId=1 which is constituted of one original message and 4 answers
* and I'm moving it (as admin) to (as an example) forumId=2,
* then I end up with being only able to see the original post (which created the thread) and the last answer

===Note=== that if I move it back to its original location (in this case forumId=1), then I can see the full thread (original post + the 4 answers).

When I'm going in the data-base table "tiki-comments", the only difference I can see between the thread being in the 2 different locations (forumId=1 and forumId=2) is the number in the "object" column. This column looks to be used for indicating to which forumId the message belong to. So, if I'm changing the number of this "object" column to the relevant forumId number, then it makes it working as expected (ie: showing all the messages in the thread).

===My conclusion:=== it looks like there is then a bug in the function used to move one thread from a forumID=x to a forumID=y, which somehow does not handle correctly the changes needed in the "object" column of the "tiki-comments" table.

I have installed TikiWiki 3rc1 on an IIS (Windows Server 2003) installation with PHP 5 and MySQL. This is a root-level installation. For some reason having to change PATH_TRANSLATED to SCRIPT_FILENAME in line 31 of lib/setup/tikisetup.class.php, which if I don't do I get errors relating to directories not existing and the site not loading at all; this is not the purpose of the support request.

Once I make these tweaks, as well as after setting the tweaks identified in tiki-filter-base.php (that is, changing forward slashes to double-backslashes in quotes), I get the site up and running. ***But*** on administration pages, the buttons created by lib/smarty_tiki/function.button.php (such as "CLEAR CACHE" on the Modules admin page) don't seem to work when accessing the site from Safari or Firefox (Internet Explorer works fine for this).

Instead, in Safari, the clicking on the button will load the script name where the domain name is supposed to go; if my site was on http://site.com/somescript.php?something, it would load http://otherscript.php?something. I don't have my machine handy, so I can't get the Firefox results up at the moment, but IIRC they involved the format http://site.com/\/otherscript.php?something (with a backslash and forward-slash inserted).

A Linux installation of TW3 works fine in Safari and Firefox, so my guess is that it's an IIS issue that has something to do with backslashes and root-directory determination, but I'm somewhat clueless here. I've examined lib/smarty_tiki/block.self_link.php and some tweaking there has produced no viable results.

Also note that this goes away when TikiWiki 3 is placed into a non-root directory; it only affects a root installation at /, rather than at a server subdirectory.

When we are log in and want to erase or change a recurrent event, we have this screen:

Since I upgraded from 1.9.11 to 2.0 I first lost the menu, then after change the theme to simple that gets menu back now I cannot login anymore , neither with admin user or normal user. Tell me if you need further info.
