When sending an Article-Put, Tiki seems to process the email--indeed, if spits out a long array message. But on looking at the homepage, the item does not appear. List Articles shows the item, but with no body.

Oddly, when the message is split into part, each part will go through.

Like most Wiki engines, TikiWiki displays the date and user information associated with the most recent modification to a page. For example, at the bottom of the doc.tw.o : Tikiwiki Documentation : PluginInclude page (http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=PluginInclude ) we see

When a page is included within another, however, this information is not displayed.

Is there any way to display this information on a page, for example, through Wiki syntax, or a plugin? Most importantly, I need to show the username, the time edited, and will, down the road, have to display a custom field called ClassOfContributor (eg, Instructor / Student / Administrator )

Any advice / info / hack is appreciated!!

I have a module that I am trying to reference from the left column of my Wiki pages. It displays fine, but there is far too much whitespace above the image, as it seems that a title is required. When I enter " " for the title, I get whitespace. When I leave this blank, I get "..." What I want is just to display the module (i.e., an image), without any whitespace surrounding it.

Any recommendations?

it may be bigbluebutton's fault, but i have experienced
the following strangeness when using the plugin:

the microphone can not be turned on in the flash interface ...
therefore no sound at all after setting up the 0.7 VM using salt.

description of process:

download, unzip 0.7 VM
create virtual machine using bbb disk image, start vm, wait for
package updates, login, new password

first bbb-conf --set-ip SOMEHOST works perfectly, i can log in the
Demo Meeting with multiple users, microphone and sharing works all
fine

then i add the salt via sudo bbb-conf --salt SALT and restart with
sudo bbb-conf --clean

i can still access http://somehost , but can not log in to any
meetings anymore due to salt , thats ok, cause its secure like this

now i add the salt to my tikiwiki 5.0 via admin->features

then i create a wikipage with the plugin: {bigbluebutton name=My
Conference Room}

i am able to connect to the conference, even with multiple users,
webcam sharing works, but the microphone can not be shared. clicking
on the flash microphone icon does not give any sound, nor any
confirmation dialog to allow access to the webcam/mic devices

now as I do not have too much experience regarding BBB, i would kindly
ask for your help to get the microphone sharing working

We have deployed out TikiWiki on Cloud Azure website and performance is very slow. It's taking about 10 seconds to load the page. We are currently using “Smarty template engine”. We are currently using version version 5.5.2 of PHP. We are currently using TikiWiki version 13.0. The application is deployed on IIS Server. We have increased the default PHP memory allocation from 128 to 512 MB. Also we have enabled limited TikiWiki features needed for our usage. Please suggest as what can be done to improve the performance.

I am trying to customize the look and feel of the Site Search Bar that gets added to the top of each page when the "Activate" button is clicked next to the "Site Search Bar" subsection of the "General Layout" tab of the Administrator "Look & Feel" page.

Basically, I just want to add "Enter keywords" here in the textbox.

I am having a hard time finding where this code is defined.

The field type "items list" has to be applied in a target tracker.
The field type "items list" compares a field of a source tracker with a corresponding field of a target tracker and displays the content of a number of pre-selected fields of the source tracker in the target tracker.

I have setup an example use case on show.tiki.org. Please review __[http://torsten-11143-5621.show.tikiwiki.org]__ for further detailed information.

In this example use case the source tracker contains the adress data of locations, where a self-empoyed service technician named "Peter Wright" has to work when jobs are assigned to him by his customers.

The target tracker contains all relevant Job related data.

The source tracker and the target tracker are interlinked with one corresponding field in each of both trackers, which have the same field title and a corresponding content (here the "location name").

Based on the selection in the correspondiung field of the target tracker, another field of the target tracker shall display the content of a number of pre-selected fields of the source tracker.

The field type "items list" works with "item link", but it does not work with "dynamic item link / dynamic item list".

The list of fields linked from the source tracker is __not sortable__. But for a proper display it would be crucial, that this list would be sortable.

It would be very handy, or better said a logically expected functionality, tht tis field type would be working with "dynamic item list/link" aswell. This is not a bug, but missing this functionality could be considered as a partially non-finalised development.

Please review the show instance and comment on this wish-list item what you think.

I created the System Tracker as described in doc.tiki.org with currency, rate,date fields.
I added a currency field to my tracker and left all properties of the field as default.
When I enter amount and item name and transaction date, then click save it says :
The following mandatory fields are missing: Value Currency

What am I doing wrong?
Do I have the correct system tracker currency field types?

Tracker Field Category just displays one level beneath parentID which I would call a bug as it blows up tracker forms when having a lot of categories with multiple sub-levels to chose from. Addionaly it is (pretty tracker example) intended not to allow editing of (wiki tpl) pages so categories have to be applied through the tracker form itself. In my case I have approx. 250 Categories.

I have upgraded TikiWiki in my application from 12.2 to 13.0 and done with most of the configuration and preferences. But unable to make ready Upload media files through Kaltura.

Actually on Uplaod media page, UI to upload media is not showing any controls to upload. As I have seen in 12.2 version, there is a flash build section shows there to upload media files, which is missing here in 13.0. I am sharing that Flash player is installed on my machine.

So, please help me if I am missing some setttings or what?

After svn switching from trunk to 6.x, my wiki has internal server errors on certain pages, especially if I'm logged in.

I maintain my svn on a windows machine, and I zip up my image, ftp it to my linux server, unpack it, run admin upgrades, and clear the cache. After all that I can browse the site as anonymous, but not as an admin or editor.

I am considering switching back to trunk, as the bugs there are less serious.

I need to call the module upcoming_events through the module --module-- wiki-plugin, because I need it inside the content.

The upcoming events displays what it should, but it ignores the parameter date_format (with which I want to get rid of the year and introduce the day's name). It could be because of the module plugin not passing that parameter. But other parameters do get passed...

I am using tikiwiki with external authentication (CAS JASIG) and i am able to authenticate users.

The problem is though the user on first login is created (if not in tikiwiki) the system does not assign the default group to that user

Is this a missing feature or i am doing something wrong?

Workflow.tikiwiki.org is running 1.9.8.3. I was playing around with InterTiki settings and enabled pulling of UserPrefs from the master site. I know on the mater site, my particular user ID has privacy turned on such that my information is not visible to users.

When I go to wf.tw.o as an anonymous user, I can hover my cursor over a user (such as myself) and it will show a box with my information...email address, location, etc. When I try and do the same on the tw.o master site, I get "user information is private" or something.

I'm wondering if there is a bug or oversight with InterTiki where it is not pulling all of the user preferences, and if that is the case, if someone can fix it so that privacy settings are honoured?

Tested with 1.10 SVN from June 20, 2008...

When using the TRACKER plugin on a wiki page, if the user submits the tracker successfully, Tiki scrolls to an anchor in the tracker from to display the success message.

However, if the tracker was not submitted successfully (such as missing a mandatory field), the page is redisplayed at the top of the page -- Tiki does not scroll down to the form to show the error message. The user will be unaware that the tracker was not submitted.

To test:
1. Create a long wiki page.
2. At the bottom of the wiki page use the TRACKER plugin to add a form
3. Attempt to submit the form (using invalid data).

I have enabled blogging and xmlrpc
and am attempting to use w.bloggar, raven or qumana to post to the blog.

w.bloggar is able to access prior posts only intermittently, though it does work usually on the second or third try. It can post, and use the more text feature if the more text is changed to ...page..., but modifying an existing post seems to delete the post or make it invisible.

raven can post but the title is missing. revising post also "deletes" it or makes it inaccessible via web. it seems ot be able to read prior posts.

qumana tells me that "this operation is ont supported by the blog" when trying to read prior posts. it posts, but title is missing.

I have my wiki set to use MySQL full-text search, but since Friday it seems to be using PHP (Lucene?) search instead -- and failing.

It *was* giving an out-of-memory error. I switched Lucene from incremental indexing to bulk indexing -- which should not affect MySQL search at all. I then tried to build an index, which timed out after 60 seconds. (Not surprising: my wiki has 5000+ pages.)

Now my "full-text" search (using module="search_box") gives 0 results.

I use inline Plugin Tools, Wanted Pages, to display it, but failed, such as:

It would be good to make the 'User' (i.e. user name) a required field when adding a new Tiki User (Admin Users)

Recently, I tested adding a new user without this (left blank), but added the password (2x) and an email. Tiki went the the next step, 'Confirm adding new user', then went to the full user list. Of course it was not visible anywhere in the full list of users (only one page, under 10 users total).

Also, it might make sense to change the name from 'user' to 'user name', or even more direct 'login'.
