5x-16.x: tracker comments should allow self-subscribe option for poster, like in forum posts or page comments
5x: tracker comments should allow self-subscribe option for poster, like in forum posts or page comments. Right now, lost of interaction and feedback is lost for users until they learn how to subscribe to tracker items.... That was the same problem in forum posts for years, until some one added that feature to forum posts and wiki comments... However, it seems that tracker item comments didn't benefit from that enhancement.... and honestly, they deserve it... --- UPDATE: * Still a very much desired feature in MANY tiki sites (including *.t.o sites). {sign user="xavi" datetime="2013-11-17T09:30:58+00:00"} * Still a wish...{sign user="xavi" datetime="2014-07-13T10:00:49+00:00"} * Still a wish (many years later). 7x Dev : Wysiwig help error in sizes of shapes and window + [enh]
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"} Hi, Into the wysiwyg help on plugins, the height of the scroll list of plugins is superior to the eight of the popup. So the bottom of the list and scroll commands are not accessible. The height is calculated from the height of the popup with is resizable. [enhance] request : set a button into "plugin" to select the suitable plugin. May be change tooltip of help to Help "Help on wysiwig syntax and plugins" rather than "Wysiswig" The plugin manager should include the "help plugin which is into help", after the choice of plugin the manager help to fill it and include it. I imagine that's the working is doing but I just add may be my view of this part of the Wysiwyg implementation. |

A Registered User Cannot Create a Top Level File Gallery
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"} Admins can easily create file galleries once the feature is enabled. A registered user - even when granted "admin" privileges for file galleries -- cannot create a top-level (i.e. just below default "File Galleries" Gallery, which is "0") gallery, without an error. The user can, however, create galleries within any gallery that resides directly under the top-level gallery (or in any nested gallery). The error message is as follows: __Notice:__ invalid variable value: $_GET["parentId"] = ~~#FF0000:-1~~ Maybe some problem with the parentId when it comes to non-admin users? |

A Tiki Calendar wish list and bug report
Minor annoyances: -Manually entered times in "add item" do not always show up in the calendar as entered (often an hour off). Simply editing the item and re-entering the time fixes this. -I ran across a limit on the number of calendar items. I had entered a large list of events and later ones disappeared from tha calendar -even in whole year view. I deleted old events and they came back. maybe this is isolated. -If I mistakenly created a calendar, I could not delete it until it had at least one event entered. Nice to haves: -Some way of differentiating calendar entires from different calendars when they are combined. Ex:one calendar shows events people can go to volunteer to actually do something , one shows speaking engagements people can go and listen to. I now simply use HTML bold tags in the description of one of the calendars. This works but maybe some other way? Colors, different font perhaps? -Ability to easily add link for a Google Map. Perhaps fields to enter address info and then auto generate a map link. Google Maps has this and can be put into a Tiki page but Google Maps lacks important features, like a list view and multiple calendars, that Tiki Calendar has. |

Accessibility warning caused by redundant link title on wiki links
Wiki links (not external links) get a title in a tooltip that has the same content as the link text, so if you hover over a link to "HomePage", there'll be a tooltip saying "HomePage". This isn't helpful and also gets an accessibility warning error, I guess for cluttering the interface with redundant text. This doesn't happen with links made by WikiWords (camelcase links) but does happen with links made with double parentheses, which is the more common method these days probably. Looking for info about this at doc.t.o, I noticed some wiki links had helpful titles that turned out to be the page description text of the target page, which does a good job as the link title. These can be seen at, for example, [https://doc.tiki.org/Wiki-Syntax-Links#Wiki_Pages] in the "Result" column of the table. But it seems like most wiki pages don't have anything in the page description field, or maybe that feature isn't even turned on, so I think it would be best, if the feature is off or if there is no page description input for the target page, the link shouldn't have a link title. This would be better than redundantly showing the link text. |

Accessibility: 14.x pop-up menus impossible for blind user, 12.x was usable
I'm totally blind.. I'm using firefox on Linux with Gnome Orca as a screen reader, although I'm fairly sure the Windows screen readers won't work any better with this. There are a number of cases where there is an action link next to an object such as: * Users on the admin user list * Blogs on the list of blogs When this link is focused (or presumably mouse-overed), a pop-up window appears with a set of actions that can be clicked on. There's no way for a blind user to select one of those options. I can ask the Screen Reader to focus on one of the links in that pop-up, but since I'm focusing there not moving the mouse there, the pop-up disappears. Even disabling the page's styling is insufficient to get to the pop-up in an area where I can click. I'm not familiar with Bootstrap enough to try and suggest a fix. I'd be delighted to work with someone to figure out what fixes would work, exchanging patches and the like until we find something that is visually appealing but works better. For many actions, you can click on the object and get to a details view where you can also perform the action. However there are a number of things where this doesn't work: * Administrator force-confirming the email of a user * Editing object permissions of a blog * Editing or removing an external wiki There are probably others but those are the main ones I've found so far. The pop-ups at the top of the page, for example the one that opens up the selections with wizards, controll panels, etc. And the pop up containing edit/remove/monitor on a wiki page are both fine. |

Accessive Categories Slows Down Performance
__Describe precisely what you did (how to reproduce)__ On my own Tiki site at http://thepatriotwoodwiki.org/HomePage the Categories load very slowly. This is a known issue when large sites have excessive content in categories. My tiki was performing well, I have very few items on my site, actually my site is still new with little content and a few categories, until I loaded the "Countries by Region" profile. Once the Countries categories were loaded by the profile, the categories section would not open, or would eventually open. I understand there is a performance issue with massive content on a Tiki, but the categories are empty. __Describe exactly the faulty consequences__ When the Categories tab is clicked, the categories page will not open, or will eventually open. __Explain what you expected instead of the faulty consequences__ I had expected the Categories section to open quickly as the rest of the Tiki does. |

action log + contribution: admin should be able to edit contributors also, besides contribution type
Using tiki 2.1., action log + contribution feature. Admin cannot re-set the contributors to a wiki edition, for instance. Admin can re-set the contribution type, but not change the co-authors, and this is needed (in educational scenarios, students select no mates by mistake, and then, there is no way for the admin to re-set the author or co-autors). |

Action log form broken in doc.t.o (fivealive theme)
Logged in nextdoc.t.o as user xavi. Interface in Spanish (in case it matters). I went to action log interface, searched for a date range: https://nextdoc.tiki.org/tiki-admin_actionlog.php?startDate_Month=06&startDate_Day=10&startDate_Year=2013&endDate_Month=06&endDate_Day=11&endDate_Year=2013&selectedUsers[]=&categId=&unit=bytes&contribTime=w&find=&max=50&list=Report#Report Then I clicked at the "Options" tab, and the options tab is NOT shown. In fact, it shows up at the very bottom of the page. I noticed that the yellowish background of the tab "Report" does not contain the lower part related to Category and Misc. Maybe that's related to the source of the issue? This seems to be a regression from Tiki9, since the issue is found already in tiki 10.x, it seems ( https://doc.tiki.org/tiki-admin_actionlog.php?startDate_Month=06&startDate_Day=10&startDate_Year=2013&endDate_Month=06&endDate_Day=11&endDate_Year=2013&selectedUsers[]=&categId=&unit=bytes&contribTime=w&find=&max=50&list=Report ) {img fileId="281" thumb="y" rel="box[g]"} |

__Update:__ Clarified some of the description below. ^Please note this field type is marked "experimental" in 12.x^ [http://doc.tiki.org/Action+Tracker+Field|Action Tracker Field] type does not work in Tracker plugin. I have tried it but no button appears labeled "Reset" on the action field row next to the "Reset Password" in the table. To reproduce: General > Name: Reset Password Options for Action > Name: Reset, Post: get, Script: tiki-remind_password.php, Parameters: name:userName {img fileId="941" thumb="y" rel="box[g]" width="320"} __It should render a post or get form or just a button labeled "Reset" pointing to tiki-remind_password.php__ but renders nothing in the Tracker plugin. Maybe it should render below the tracker form in the code to avoid ''form in a form'' conflict and be placed on the row position of the field using jQuery? It only shows up (while editing the Tracker item) in a special section called "__Special Operations__". But clicking the button from there is buggy too. Goes to: tiki-remind_password.php?name%3AuserName=name%3AuserName&trck_act=Reset Instead of: tiki-remind_password.php?name=admin&trck_act=Reset |

Add "Add Calendar" and "Edit Calendar" Buttons to the Admin Calendar Page
I'd like to see the UI on the Admin Calendar page get more consistent with the Admin Groups page. Current behavior: Select Admin Calendars from menu. List of Calendars and "Create/Edit Calendars Label comes up in Entry Area. After entering and saving a new calendar, the last information stays in the text entry boxes. The user must click on Admin Calendars and re-load the page to clear the boxes for the next entry. Desired Behavior: Select Admin Calendars from menu. List of Calendars and a form with "Add a Calendar" are opened. Buttons for "Edit Calendar" and "Create Calendar" are located below the Admin Calendar heading and load the appropriate forms. "print all" from home of wiki structure
When you are on a page of a wiki structure, you can click on the print icon, but you will only print that single page. The icon and option to "__print this page and all the subpages__" (= in the the sub-structure) right from there (without going through all the clicks at "Wiki > multiprint > select structure > print") would be very welcome, since the base feature to rpint the full structure exists. From the home of the structure, it would print the full structure (as it can be done with one click from a structure within a Workspace through ((doc:AulaWiki)) mod, or through many clicks as usual, as explained above). If the user is on a subpage of the structure, that button would print that page and all subpages from the same structure. Does it make sense? |

[10:29] <xavi> I get most emails all right , email reader (thunderbird, gmail, etc.) can read them properly, but not emails from changes in wiki pages...
[10:30] <xavi> I wonder if this can be some problem with the encoding in some tpl , or that the code for sending emails from changes in wiki pages uses some different method than the rest of email sending... and that other method is not handling charset properly... (just hypothesis)

[10:42] <xavi> I double checked in one site, and everywhere is set to use utf-8 as encoding (admin general, admin community, and my own user pref settings), but wiki watch emails come with: "content-type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1"
