Regression: tracker text fields with Prepend and Append values do not display correctly.
On http://demo.tiki.org/7x/ if a text field has "prepend" (text that will be displayed before the field" and "append" (text that will be displayed just after the field) defined, such as open and closed parentheses, the "prepend" value is shown AFTER the field value, while nothing shows in front of the value. See: http://demo.tiki.org/7x/tiki-view_tracker.php?trackerId=6 in which 2 fields have such parameters defined: field ID: 57 (Acro_En) and 59 (Acro_fr), both have options set to "1,15,(,),10,y" which for value "UN" should show "(UN)" or for value "ONU" should show "(ONU)" but shows instead "UN(" and "ONU(" respectively. When adding or editing items in the tracker the fields show with their prepend and append characters correctly, but when doing "view items" the values are messed up as shown above. This problem is a regression. Did not occur in v. 3, 4.x (through 4.2) or 6.0 and 6.1. __Also works on demo.tiki.org which is currently "6.4 proposals (SVN)"__. In all of these versions, tracker items show with their prepend or append values correctly. Kind regards, olaf-michael (omstefanov) |

Search box obscured, user name invisible
See http://screencast.com/t/XEJzwKo97k I am using the 7.x head build. I know the tradeoffs versus using a stable build. I can't go back, though. #The new, improved search box is partially hidden by the right-hand column of modules. #The user login name is invisible. My current site theme is jqui. I have tried other themes, but each one seems to have a different problem. While these are not breaking problems, they affect the usability of my site, and I am willing to pay a consultant to help me fix them. |

Second set of wiki page buttons/icons are not fully functional
If you have your wiki pages set to display top and bottom buttons and edit icons, then some of the bottom buttons and icons don't work. Specifically, the bottom Preview button doesn't work while editing in the normal editor, and the bottom icon for View Edit Icons doesn't work. I ''think'' this is a week-old regression, but it might actually be a long-standing bug. |

Simple and quick way for admin to change or lock HIS language only
As i work as admin i have to switch a LOT of time from language to language for a lot of very good reason; *The help docs are mainly in english *As this is the primary language it is easier to admin in english *Code can be easily broken using a none-latin language or rtl (try to edit code with hebrew or arabic as main language) :) *I can build a TW without speaking the user language (non multilingual) * and more... Of course there are workaround but this is really time consuming. Adding a in the small selector in the quickadmin (not available in all the theme is not enough). There are case that you need that changing the language is changing the website language for user and not for admin, etc... I really think that admin options like: *Admin is always in "language selector" -> only to edit or add code *Editing a page is always in "language selector" *Display a quick language switcher for admin (i'm sure some others will have ideas) Would be very helpfull !!!! |

Smarty warnings from core.get_include_path.php
Error using Tiki 5.3 on a shared hosting (installed in …/httpdocs/tiki). This error does not occur with TikiWiki 4.1 on the same hosting (installed in …/httpdocs/tiki4). When I try (as admin) to edit users in Tiki 5.3, I get these PHP errors: PHP (5.2.9) ERROR (E_WARNING): File: lib/smarty/libs/internals/core.get_include_path.php Line: 34 Type: is_readable() [function.is-readable]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/lib/smarty_tiki//modifier.ucwords.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts/d-meeus.be/httpdocs:/tmp) To me it seems that the open_basedir restriction is reasonable (my hosted Web space + /tmp). There seems to be a syntax error (beginning / before lib) inducing a confusion between /lib on the server and the …/httpdocs/tiki/lib folder in my installation. (By the way, I do not understand // in the path.) I tried to read line 34 in core.get_include_path.php, but I am not a programmer and I cannot figure how to correct the syntax error. I do not know the value of all these variables at the moment the function is called. Could somebody suggest a correction or a workaround? |

split-plugin doesn´t work correctly
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"} Using the split-plugin in cooperation with the sort-plugin would run in some trouble. In tiki5 the combination of this: {CODE()} {SPLIT()} -=A=- {SORT(sort->asc)} ((AC)) ((AG)) ((AA)) {SORT} --- -=B=- {SORT(sort->asc)} ((BB)) ((BA)) {SORT} --- -=C=- {SORT(sort->asc)} ((CX)) ((CD)) {SORT} {SPLIT} {CODE} will work fine. You will get three columns and every entry is sorted and seperated fine. After tiki5 this code-creation doesn´t work any more, the entry´s wouldn´t seperate by CR , only by SPACE. Anything is in one row. This appears to be a basic parser problem in the way nested plugins are parsed. Same issue affects the FANCYTABLE plugin - see [http://dev.tiki.org/item4216] |

Summaries styles associated to levels in all hierarchical lists
!Summaries styles associated to levels in all hierarchical lists !!Utility When a hierarchy (summaries particularly) is displayed there is no style associated with the level. The specialization of categories in profiles : a major consequence for 7x trunk
!The specialization of categories in profiles : major consequence !!Nature of the problem Everybody who have developed tikiwiki application that during data structuring and at the end of development (if it exist, not in project management) any category can't be applied to any object. So if we try an interpretation of this fact it is because the development of categories is a way to structure either a metabase or an implicit complement of database on the objects of tiki. In project management we will have to connect to new objects and sometimes to create links with external objects (can be defined by URLs). This because the object that are managed into a project can be separated into two classes : *the objects that are tiki objects and *the objects that are external (as CAD draw, all physical objects and their definitions managed externally): these object must have an "image" into tiki like a map and his corresponding land, mainly a wiki text with the definition of the object. But in fact others objects can be associated to these external object. So they can be simply a category with a link to a new objects for tiki (see UMLAP meta model that I presents). This new objects is simply able to reference an external object (quite like an URL). So either in simple tikiwiki application or with project management, categories are in fact quickly linked to some types of objects. A category will define a way to hierarchically organize blogs or forums, it will be only associated to the corresponding object. Another for example with a root "Subjects" can classify structures, wiki pages, blogs, calendars etc... The development of the application or profile then will be associated with a specialization of categories. !!What's to do to implement this new feature ? *Add to the definition of a category a multi-select box which allows to define the objects classes to which the category can be linked *Link a category to a specialized wiki structure which contains the definitions of the categories (the wiki structure is automatically a replication of the category structure) *For the display of the panel used to define the classification of an object into the categories, the displayed categories must be associated with the class of the object. *Quite automatically when the list of objects which are associated to the same category is displayed it will contain only the classes associated to the category. It is not very load as development but I do believe a great enhancement to clarify categories management and use. Trebly |

Tighter integration with Apache's > .htaccess (error messages, etc.)
When you try to access a wiki page which doesn't exist, Tiki offers you a list of similarly named pages, to search for that word, to create the page, etc. __Good.__ When you try to access other contents in Tiki (articles, blog posts, etc.) that don't exist (either have been deleted, moved, not yet published, protected, etc.), you get a Tiki error message. __Good as well.__ But what if you try an URL which is just not possible? Ex.: If you migrated from another system to Tiki and you are still getting hits with the previous URLs? Of course, you could check your access logs and add nice redirects. But how can we make this easier for site admins? The bundled _htaccess file (which you need to rename .htaccess to make active) has an example line: {img src=images/code.png}%%% {CODE()} ErrorDocument 404 /tiki-index.php?page=Page+not+found {CODE} __This is good.__ Now, how could we use this to provide the Tiki admin with a top-x error pages? And thus, it would help to detect broken links, etc. Could .htaccess include some configuration info from Tiki? So a Tiki admin could add configuration information without using FTP, all in Tiki, possibly with a secret "system" wiki page. Great inspiration: https://github.com/h5bp/html5-boilerplate/blob/master/dist/.htaccess |

Tiki 7.1 HTML parsing - WYSIWYG/CKE - not working in some feature like for ex. in articles
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"} Hello Devs, I did upgrade a site to 7.1 this weekend. Using WYSIWYG/CKE I have the following prblem: In some features of the Tiki 7.1 the output the editor is just the plain HTML Source. That means, not in Wikipages, but in the articles and in the calendar events, there is not a nice text with formatting bold, italic, colors and pictures etc, but only the plain HTML source code visible to the website user/visitor. The WYSIWYG/CKE editor works normal and I can see the content just normal like ever, being in the editing mode. But when I save, I can just see the source code, like it would be in codeplugin. This affects as said articles and calendar (perhabs more, I will hope to find out) but it does not affect wikipages by now. And it affects existing articles and events aswell as newly edited. (worked well in 6.x before) Thx for reply and wish a nice sunday to all, cheers Torsten |

When trying to execute a profile, validation simply cancels the execution request instead of showing a message with where the validation failed.
Previous versions of Tiki used to do this and is very helpful when testing and developing profiles.
