When you click "Start Changes Wizard" button on tiki-wizard_admin.php?stepNr=0&url=index.php it shows "New in Tiki 26" in big letters and that is the latest (newest) version that wizard page was updated for (except it just shows "URL Fragment format" as a new preference; otherwise it is just empty). When you click "Save and Continue" it shows "New in Tiki 25", etc. (at least there is a bit more features to set up).

__We should update that wizard to include some major new stuff from Tiki 30 at least before we release!__

Profiles using -+[[ value1, value2, value3 ]+- syntax for array values for preferences now cause a fatal error and usually WSoD.

WYSIWYG articles are ok when displayed using tiki-read_article.php, plugin or newsletter but show html on tiki-view_articles.php

Uploading any non image into the file gallery with the upload image button in the WYSIWYG editor works fine. But when selecting that file to put in the site, TikiWiki incorrectly specifies that the file is an image. This results in the webpage with "File is not an image".

My php is 5.3 and fileinfo extention is set up correctly. I can correctly display the file by switching to Wiki text mode and changing the designation from "img" to "file"

OK, before anyone calls me stupid, the button does say "Choose or Upload Images" There is no button for choosing and uploading files, but I assume that since the "File Gallery" and not the "Image Gallery" is being called up, it should be able to handle both. If not, then I guess someone needs to add a button to CKEditor.

I created a show-me instance to show the problem in the current branch. However, this version has the option to add more buttons to the WYSIWYG. There is a file button that solves this problem. But this is a major hassel for me in the 11.1 branch. Any way I can get the file button in version 11?

When a wikipage uses a namespace, one cannot add a comment due that the "add comment" botton does not show up.

When renaming that page to not use a namepspace, it works.

Example:
"MyNamespace:_:MyPage" does not show the add comment botton.
renaming to
"MyNamespace_MyPage" does show the add comment botton.
or
"MyPage" does show the add comment botton.

talking about tiki-adminusers.php

Just recently tere was a new dialogue added to apply users. Today a popup opens and you can choose respectively multiselect groups to apply the users to or to remove users from.

I could not really test this good looking feature if it works spot on, or is tere would appear objections, because on save the user is not applied to the group - the setting is just ignored.

So on a site already having this update, I have to apply users to groups from tiki-admingroups.php tab 'members', which is a workaround, but not a good UX for te released system (thus a blocker).

I will look into it for a more detailed description lateron and try to find out who committed tis. Anyway, it would be nice, if someone of the coders could check and maybe fix ... I recon, that only a very little bit is missing.

Clicking "Create" button brings up pop-up which is lower z-index and thus unclickable than the grayed overlay. Clicking anything closes it again. Unable to create new tracker manually. Seen in FF.

The Tiki default captcha image for anonymous to register, post a comment, etc doesn’t displays numbers anymore forbidding actions to be completed.

Tiki.org, just updated to branch 29, is now also showing the cookie message and dark backdrop on every page load like dev.t.o is showing, not for very long but still this is an unacceptable visual glitch IMO. This pops up even if you have accepted cookies.

Go on "List Wiki page".
Select any page, copy it (duplicate page).
Enter any name to save.

Once redirected to the new page it show a warning : You don’t have permission to edit tags.
Tested on a new Tiki without tags feature activated and tested on nextdev.

In an old media wiki with iso-8859-1 charset, somebody supposedly has copy&pasted some M$ Office/Word DOC text into the old wiki.
Now, when migrating from the old media wiki to a new tiki wiki 15.2., somebody else copy&pastes the same text from source to source, but after saving it into the new wiki, "index rebuilding" fails because of the char "→", and with that the whole tiki wiki is stalled, won't produce any usable page anymore.

Uhm, apparently there are multiple versions of "right arrow" in M$ Word, which all seem to be converted to the same UTF char ... now.
Not sure anymore which of those it was... I can't reproduce in old environment, because the pages have been deleted after migration.

Will investigate if I can recover those broken pages/ chars, back later.

Now... funny thing, I didn't notice immediately, but other users later on, and when I "rebuild index" via the search control panel, I get the following errorlist for simply putting this little example on a page:

The "perform action with checked" icons at the bottom of the tiki-list_file_gallery.php listing (in list view) requires additional code rewriting in order to convert to iconsets due to the fact that iconsets cannot be easily used for input images.

The system menu is empty on a new install of master as log as you are not logged.
Once logged (admin) clicking on the white space will open the submenu a display items.

With feature_search enabled errors produced from error.tpl etc end up with the header, modules etc being repeated inside the page under the error message.

This is a side-effect of the change to using Smarty Inheritance in the tempting system and due to tiki-searchindex.tpl now using "{extends 'layout_view.tpl'}".


Should also happen with feature_search_fulltext but the logic's borked currently... will fix that once this is fixed.

Weird issue, maybe too specific of the tiki 12 configuration for a local chapter of the World Social Forum in Catalonia.
But this is serious, and since might happen to other tikis, I report it before I forget what happened, and which manual workaround allowed us to keep going.

We have set up a Tiki site to gather information on workshops in a tracker. The Tracker (through a Wiki page with PluginTracker) also shows the registration fields, in order to get a user registered with the information of the workshop they want to propose.

That wiki page is shown through an iframe in from a wordpress (yes, this is real life; main site was created first with Wordpress, and they only want to use Tiki for the tracker system, so far).

Once the form was submitted, Tiki displayed a page that an error occurred ("did you check your db is up & running", etc)
Apache logs don't show anything rellevant.
Tiki logs indicate that the database table

__dbname.index_52d52c9cad158__

was missing. Checking the mysql db directly, I saw that another similar db table name was there:

__dbname.index_5305ecc55cd29__

I did clear the Tiki caches many times, rebuild the serch index many times, changed from mysqlfts to lucene (clear caches and rebuild index each time) and back, a few times. Even disabled the unified search index. (clearing tiki caches also), and no way, each time the new item was attempted to get added to the Tiki site:
* that error page was shown
* the tiki logs showed the message that __dbname.index_52d52c9cad158__ was missing
* the user got added, but not the tracker item with the workshop information.

I only know that the system worked well until Feb 14th (the date of the last valid item in the tracker). After that, I svn updated to recent revisions yesterday (maybe to r49950ish or similar, I don't know for sure), and today svn-updated again, to r49974. And that mysql table either dissapeared, or was rebuilt to a different name, or the code decided to look for a different name of table at the database.

Update: I admit, that this is too of an edge case.

I experience that my site's file galleries get slower and slower. Currently, there are just about 200 Mbyte of mostly images in there, in just about two dozen folders. Although my rented web space will of course not boast performance wonders, but it should't be THAT slow. When I clear caches, just calling file galleries takes up to three minutes. If cache has not been cleared, galleries come up instantly.

I have stopped using tiki-check.php even before that, because it regularly breaks my ISPs five minute quota...

I store the images in the DB, but I don't think this really makes the issue. The DB still has almost a terabyte of available storage. And a DB's speed shouldn't depend on amount of storage taken, but on complexity of SQL requests.

I believe that most of the current slowness came when I uploaded some graphics for my co-admins that are not large in size, but large in dimensions (300 kbyte, but 14,000 x 10,000 pixels) (logo master file in PNG). For them, thumbnail creation fails. Could it be that Tiki tries to generate those thumbnails all the time, and fails?
