Since a few last update of my Tiki25 sites the tracker view action wrench is not closing back after action or simply clicking somewhere else.

On Tiki23 you can set a tracker and add a new field "Country Selector".
In the field options you can set if you want to display the country Name, Flag or both.

No matter what you select only the country name is displayed.

Tested on demo.tiki.org

When the user toggle between status he sees the items with the status selected.
However, if he perform an action his previous selection is "forgotten" and he have to re-selected again.

On a Tiki23 I create a tracker and add an email field.
I wanted to add a validation using the validation option (edit tracker field options).

Even if the pattern is a bit funky, this is another "legacy" value limitation that should be removed.

When you create trackers with lots of entries (like cataloging newspaper articles) you will soon find that Tiki's sorting options are far (!) too limited. There is just one sorting option. A second is implied, but undocumented (either it's creation date or it is ID, could not find out).

It would be a significant improvement (and VERY easy to create in SQL) if a second and third sort option could be integrated just like the first one: Select field, select order.

These should be hierarchical, so all elements should first be sorted by option 1, and within all results sorting should be by option 2.

So for the newspaper archive example: First sort by category/department/column (alphabetically ascending), and within that by page number (numerically ascending), and on page number by title (alphabetically ascending). Just like Excel does.

These must be three separate options with both field and order selection, do not make it a multiselect, because you might want to have differing sort orders for separate fields...

In a tracker (tiki-view_tracker_item.php) with mandatory fields or fields with a validation (ex.: email), if I don't fill the form properly, on save, I will be in view mode with the "Following fields are incorrect" warning. I must then click edit again to correct the info. This is not logical. I should stay in edit mode unless the form is saved without error.

When you add the attachment field to the other fields of the Tracker, when creating the item, it produces an error:

1- If no country is selected, the image shows a broken link to img/flags/.gif

It should be blank or a transparent image.

2- When selecting country, the drop-down list should be like the others (blank field followed with the options), not with "None" in the middle of the list.

When using a tracker to collect emails, it's very important that there be no typo.

Problem: Someone could assign a tracker item to me, but how will I know unless I watch the whole tracker and check for my name in all the watches?

When I pick a login/username as "Assigned To", this person would need to receive a notification. Next to the username drop-down, there could be a checkbox "send a notification email to this person"


This is not so important, but a similar idea:
If it was the group which was picked, it could send an email to all members of the group.

In the properties of a tracker, there is a multiselection where you can select which fields get displayed in a pop-up, when the mouse pointer is over a record.

That list of field isn't updated properly. That is, it gets updated when you add new fields to the tracker. But fields do not get removed when a field gets deleted. This leads to the list being cluttered with old info if you delete and add fields...

In a form, I give options. But sometimes, I would like to pre-select one of those options.

The list of options is separated by commas. Ex.:
1 low,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 high

Maybe adding stars around the default value?

Will this conflict with the new multilingual trackers?

When creating a new tracker item and when there are drop-down choices, the first choice is a blank field. This is the appropriate behavior.

However, when the field is mandatory, the first item on the list is automatically chosen. This is not OK because we can't be sure this was the person's choice (or they just didn't notice)

We have an item that has X and Y filled in.

X: item link
Y: dynamic item list depending on the value of X

We would like to edit Y, while not showing X in the tracker wiki plugin.

When using image filed type in trackers, all is OK in view tracker mode. Ex.:

So when I see that someone reported a bug, I can quickly see their profile. (ex.: to send a private message)

Reminder: a user could have permissions to view a specific tracker without having general tracker permission.

The new plugin manager in 3.0 is much more intuitive. It helps uses build plugins with a javascript plugin, documents each syntax, show mandatory fields in bold and offers a global link to the documentation.

This is precisely what we would need for the trackers field type helper.

Using 1.10cvs code from mid june 2007

I created several trackers. Enabled RSS for individual trackers. Created rss modules for two individual trackers (rss 1 and rss 2).
Granted common permissions for anon. (view, ...), and most tracker permissions for Registered group.

Added a call to rss plugin within a wiki page:

When viewing the page as registered, I see:

Did I miss any special perm to be granted for registered? A bug?

(I granted all perms from tracker section - to them, or inherited from anonymous - except for tiki_p_admin_tracker)
