!!!This problems concerns quite all table and forms (in tables or not) with fixedwidth themes.
This is the reason while it appear in so many functions.

!!!As for most of tables in many functions, with "twist" (no other style tested) the tables of the middle (C2) either overlap C3 or are behind C3 and sometimes C2. They just have a little part outside the 990px large (in twist as the width is written into css it can't be changed by prefs).

if you youse the redirect plugin in an article you cannot edit the article as it redirect the page even in edit mode

i migrated my tiki 2.x to tiki 6.6 this weekend. Formerly i have configured permissions for specific groups by defining a category and granting tiki_p_view_categorized permission for the category to a group. So it was able to add for example the category "top secret" to an article and just let those users (groups) see the article that had permission tiki_p_view_categorized for this category. Now everyone can see everything because those permissions are obsolete. But how do i configure this then to hide all those categorized items from other users? meanwhile i noteiced that the problem only occurs in articles. wiki pages and so on are doing fine. Can this be a bug, or is here a special configruation reqwuired?

When trying to save an edit on wiki pages or articles I get a blank screen.

Turning on debug I get the following error reported:

Was using Tiki 6.x, backed up databases, did a fresh install of version 9, then upgraded to version 10.2, moved article database back. When I create an new article, then tried to assign object level permissions. {img fileId="197"}

The assign permissions area needs a feature selected (see {img fileId="196"}. When I go to Select Features, none of the installed features show up. However I can check the box for "Show permissions for disabled features" the missing ones show up but still can't set the article permissions.

Not sure what the issue can be, I verified that Administrators have all the proper access. I can set global permission for the same "missing" features. Not sure what to do at this point.

This tracker is made to help filtering and sorting the features vs categories vs options we need to tag a bug/regression/wish with.

In the RSS feed for articles, tha last person to edit the article is proclaimed as the author of said article.

When the Wiki feature is disabled, some links are created pointing to nowhere.

As of tiki 1.9.5, errors might occur when a link is inserted on the form ((ThisIsAPageWithoutDescription|This is the link text)). This resulted in some strange behaviour for me where the title on the link got turned into a link when tiki parsed it etc.

In a bilingual English/French site built on Tiki 5.x, i18n was used to create direct article-to-article links between translation versions of the same article.

When viewing a paginated article with an associated translation, selecting the "switch language" link properly loads the appropriate language version of the article ONLY from the first page of the article.

If an article is broken into multiple pages, attempting to switch language fails when "switch language" is selected while viewing a subpage of the article.

Looks to me as if the pagination (&page=x) variable has not been accounted for when dealing with translations of articles.

joe@joe.com sends an email. The system recognizes that joe@joe.com belongs to the user "joe" and adds the tracker/wiki edit/forum post/article as if the user joe had logged in and added it via the web form.


Make this optional for security reasons. If someone spoofs the email address, he could send in content for someone else.

When you create a new article and decide to __not publish it__ (which means actively removing the checkmark on the "published" checkbox), then it won't show up in articles module, and not on Home of articles (correct behaviour), but it does show up in the module "Since last visit". This is inconsistent...

Hi, I first want to setup a show instance to check.

In Tiki 14 on wiki pages I am using a module, for example: ~np~{module module=articles lang=de ... } ~/np~.

The module is showing articles of all languages and not filtering for the language specified in the parameter.

In a menu the link ~np~/articles?lang=de~/np~ is working alright.

Module months_links is expected to show links to the months in the last year where posts occurred, but also display a link to the previous years, so that the user can click to the previous year to list the months that hold posts, etc.

The user expected to be able to list all months where there were posts, from the previous years, but it only display posts from the last 12 months.

The rows param by default gets the value 10 (like month october, our current month by the time of this writing)
Increasing the value shows more links (from previous years). However, it seems that Value max="-1" (show all posts, with no max limit) doesn't fetch them all.

On Tiki23 at tiki-admin.php?page=articles I discovered a feature I didn’t knew exist (is it new and went under "my" radar ?)

I was about to think about an accordion to hide the BIG top search area that is eating the top part of the screen. ????

* Garbage in search field added depending on background color
* Author is not properly populated
* Article_content (?) return not found

The path of the template OR some help to customise it mytheme/templates/articleCustomsearch should be added in the feature tooltip.

I know, that somebody (Xavi? Nelson?) is working on a functionality, called "Clipper", that should allow to choose certain articles headlines and to send them by newsletter.

I think it would be nice/importand to have the possibility, to send not only the header, but also the teaser for every article like the following:

Another guy did request this feature for blogs, to give operational stuff the possibility to send the management daily or weekly reports.

The newsletter sent using the articleclip function will send broken links (article link and image or files from tiki).

The link for the article look like relative "http://./article1" (as you read the newsletter into a mail browser or a mail application it will go nowhere) instead of absolute "http://www.mywebsite/article1".

Same for pictures added using the file gallery system "http://./tiki-download_file.=
php?fileId=3D1374".

Note: It seams it was broken between the 29/04/13 and the 30/04/13. (i check previous received newsletter). But i couldn't track the change that has done the regression.

Update: I create an instance and tested on it. The article title link seams to be back. Also external image (http source) are now displayed however, internal files/image are not displayed properly as they show just fine on the article itself: http://bsfez-11581-4768.show.tikiwiki.org/tiki-edit_article.php?articleId=1

~~#F00:Update:~~ I deleted the previous instance and recreated the use case. It is still not working for me. I tried with an internal image directly added to the newsletter using the creditor and the "article clip" plugin. Same.

I include you and Pascal so you received the newsletter and can see the problem i'm talking about. Please note, WYSIWYG editor is used and the articles header are done using CKeditor only. When I include article or articles plugin within a newsletter, it works well in the preview of the newsletter, but the newsletter received has lost the CSS format and doesn't display the images included in the articles.
It worked well in Tiki version 9. The bug appears as I migraed to version 12.4

When editing a Wiki-page and clicking on Wiki-Help there is a link to change the Help to Plugin-Help.

This link doesn't appear when editing forum or trackers..

This can be viewed both as a bug report or a feature request:

The logic for article images breaks standard Tiki admin logic in that you cannot (!) use images from the file galleries. You have to upload them separately into where ever they get stored (unknown), stripping users of the ability to centralize image storage and scaling images by demand. This also means that the user must use a local image manipulation tool for scaling...

This is true for both standard images (by topic) and for user images!

On Tiki 15.x REV 59543 setting Articles out of the box;

There is a "un-natural" limitation for Article image size by default.
When I try to save an article with a picture heavier than 1mb (approx.) the article is saved without any error message and no picture is saved.

If I reduce size, the image is saved in the top image gallery without any acknowledgement, selection or choice. (openeing a discussion in the dev list)

It may be a system setting, but anyway, the user should be warned and the article should not be saved with improper picture ommited.

Out of the box I went to admin, activate the Articles feature.
I create a new article enter a title, heading, body and an image article.

The "box" command (carat) is NOT turned off by np nor pp tags, in ARTICLE.

The np and pp work correctly in the WIKI and BLOG.

I verified it with my
