I have encountered many problems with this feature when activating on dev.tikiwiki.org

A- The site becomes very slow...

B- ((TaskModuleTest)) page is almost totally blank.

C- Should there not be a feature setting for all of this?

And we'd need some sort of reporting. All tasks assigned to person X.

We currently usually do this with ((doc:trackers)). But doing it fully in the wiki would be more flexible in some contexts.

The system should be able to send email reminders at a certain date. This could be used as well to schedule actions / Email reminders as explained here:

The User Task System is working fine but.. the tasks are not shown in the module..

It started when I activated user tasks. I set up a couple of test tasks to myself (admin), in order to finish the incomplete translation.

When I wanted to accept one of the tasks I gave myself, I unexpectedly ran into an error that was erroneus... The error claimed that tasks need to have a title of at least three characters. But it had a title of four characters. Below the error message was an edit dialog, where the title was completely blank.

I then entered a new title and saved - and now the entirety of all tasks (they were three) are gone.

And what's worse: I cannot create new tasks anymore! I get the dialog and can enter all the stuff, but when I save, the UI insists that there are no tasks. I also checked that I include tasks that were done or deleted (had both), but still "no tasks".

Just play around with it (sending a task, etc) and you will see.


Maybe it's because this site has thousands of users and on a clean install, it will be fast.

The problem seems to be with the module "user_tasks" and presumably "user_tasks_public". When these modules are not assigned (activated), the task feature is fast (and quite nice/complete, I must say). It appears to be when the module cache is (re)generated.

The User-Task-System is working fine but the tasks are not shown in the module. By clicking preview in admin-modules the tasks are shown both in the module-preview and in the module itself. This bug appeared both with updating tw from 1.9.4 to 1.9.7 to 1.9.10. and with a clean 1.10 installation.
