Who do I get touch with about helping out with the transition to Smarty3 templates?

Or has that idea been scrapped for the moment?

I can see where Smarty3 would be useful in themes ... a Theme could inherit from the default tiki template(s) and simply append it's customised CSS linkage to the template's header.

granted it's not strictly necessary at this time, but we may reach a point where we're forced to upgrade our Smarty engine, so it would be nice to get a head start on preparations
