Request passcode to register: fails.

Example 1: (Still broken?) I toggled on "Request passcode to register:" and "Prevent automatic/robot registration:", as well as "user tracker" selected at registration time, and after the registration steps, and filling the user tracker information, I get the message (like): "Register code not valid. You need to know the register code to register in this web site" (approx)

Tried three times with different browsers and users names (and double checking the passcode to register): same effect.

When I toggle off the "Request passcode to register:", then everything works fine.

Example 2:
Request password to enter = on
User tracker (for registration) = on
...initial screen of choose name, enter password and email works.
...second screen with user tracker info fails on submit.

Tested with:
1. Passcode only - Success
2. Passcode & email verification - Success
3. Email verificaton & user tracker - Success
4. Passcode & user tracker - Fail

All I really need is Passcode & user tracker to work together!

I updated recently a Tiki 29.x (14/02/2026) and since then on creation of an item in a tracker I have this error:

Field _sort does not exist in the current index. If this is a tracker field, the proper syntax is tracker_field__sort.

It comes from using a relations tracker field with a filter using this "_sort" parameter.

The 'Item List' field function seems to have regressed (possibly after version 6.x !) so that the values in 'linked' fields are no longer displayed.

But I will have to create a show instance to demonstrate what has always been a somewhat complicated function to explain !


Fixed - needed a different tracker field configuration ie the Value Field Id should not be set

This feature ('jQuery-UI Chosen Select Boxes ') in Control Panels > Features > Interface does not work correctly.
(also checking 'Sortable Chosen Multi-selects ' makes no difference)

I tried three options, but none is acceptable (e.g. usable):
*using a Div + ' jQuery-UI Chosen Select Boxes' results in unusable __''narrow''__ dropdowns (e.g. unreadable)
**using Fancy Table, or, Wiki Tables + 'jQuery-UI Chosen Select Boxes' is not possible because than using 'output', e.g. {$f_44|output} is not possible due to:
***1) Fancy Table using '|' as the separator,
***2) the dropdown box hits the bottom of the Table and stops rendering, e.g. does not drop down below the boundaries of the table
*using any these WITHOUT 'jQuery-UI Chosen Select Boxes' results in a __''super tiny font''__ that makes the dropdown barely usable (font size 4 ot 5)

It seems that the 'TableSorter' feature is interfearing (same code in TrackerList + TableSorter as in Fancy Table)

My guess is this is another Bootstrap issue.

final update: why, WHY in the world would ANYONE use the word 'row' as an option in Tracker List under 'show links'???????????? After two days of pulling out my hair, it turns out that in order to turn OFF the links ('Title') on a Tracker list in Tiki 15, you have to choose 'row'. WHO created this? Why? What is the logic behind this? I see absolutely NONE. No explanation on https://doc.tiki.org/PluginTrackerList On the Show Instance, I chose 'no' and it works normally, so why would my live site not be able to use 'no' to not show links?


update: I create a show instance (admin / 54321) and all worked correctly as it should, so it seems my parameters need to be checked)

'Show Links' does not work - I have it set to 'no' and it still shows the links:

I also left it blank (default is to not show links), same thing, shows the links.

I apply this to the auto numbering field (most companies have 'work order' numbers, 'Invoice' numbers, etc.), as it makes the most sense for users to click directly on this number for viewing/editing.

This worked in Tiki 12x but does not work in 15x (the only two possible installs via Softaculous).

As an added safety measure I also have permissions on this particular tracker for this particular group set so that this group cannot change closed tracker items, i.e.'tiki_p_modify_tracker_items_closed' is not checked, yet they can. This is not good, as this user group should only be able to change open/pending items, not closed. And, not only can they change items, but it goes directly to the tracker where they can change anything (vs. wiki pages, to which I limit user to on open/pending items).

update: this has something to do with 'view = user' parameter, as on other pages (general reports) where this is not applied (i.e. shows all entries), clicking the link leads to the item in the tracker but for viewing only (as it should be). So it seems the 'view = user' status gives some special, over riding permissions (over page permissions, tracker permissions, etc.) which is not applicable in all cases (i.e. for closed items in 'archives')

"Items List" Tracker Field lacking " 'sorts field' parameter" reverse sort order.
It would be nice to able to show this list in a reverse sort order.

When you have the "Dropdown with Other" Field set as mandatory, selecting "Other" and then clicking on the other textfield triggers the validation for some reason and the error message comes up.

This should only appear when you Submit the form (if the field is empty).

It happens to me with Tiki 1.9.0.

I've got two trackers. At their admin screen, I have the option:
"Send copies of all activity in this tracker to this e-mail address:" filled with a valid e-mail address (email1), and the second oone with an empty field there. I have them both monitored with my email address as user in the tiki site (email2).

When there is a new item created for the first tracker, I get two email messages. one to each email adress (email one, and email2)

When there is a new item created for the second tracker, I get just one email message. the one to email2. But hte problem is that the system admin in my server gets a message with an empty "To:" field.

It seems as if messages from "Send copies of all activity in this tracker to this e-mail address:" are attempted to be sent, even if there is no email entry there...
Could this be the cause of the problem?

To reproduce:
* As a user with non admin rights insert a tracker item to dev.tw.o/tracker5
* edit it again, and change something (add some text to a text areas, etc.) And save
* you are not able to edit that item any more because the "Submitted by" field has lost the record.
* edit that item as a user with admin rights, adn manually provide again the username of the poster.
* the poster can edit it one more time. But after that, he loses the ability again.

Using v10 Tarball from 5/1/08 and on a Wiki page have the following:

Displays the tracker fine and the sort defaults to LastModify.

Can click any field name and sort takes place just fine.

HOWEVER, selecting another field, even the same one to change the sort order, results in the error message:

"Template not registered"

User need to input fields ID inside Field field when editing PluginTracker plugin icon edition window. Then the user need to scroll down the window to include the Default values for the fields. And for that second operation he needs to respect the order of the ID of the fields. If Value field position is just below the Fields field, it is going to help a lot.

Sometimes, we want people to participate to one wiki page, to access their user tracker to update personal information or access a ((workspace))

Right now, we need to

#create a user
#create a group
#assign user to the group
#give permissions to group ( in general or for a specific item)
#inform this person, typically by email, on how to access this page


Instead, I would want to
#add an email
#pick the permissions this person has
#any limitations (works x times, or for x days/weeks)
#an optional message

And the system should send a 1-click login email (an email with a link in it which is unique / very difficult to guess).

Whoever clicks that link
*Would be authenticated with the appropriate permissions and according to the limitations.

Forum messages are shown ok.

Freetags would be very nice on other Tiki objects, specially Tracker items, in order to make Tiki more 2.0 compliant... (and since trackers are used by users, which not always find their natural cateogries in the pre-fixed categories by an admin system in Tiki (through categories feature)

User tracker is on, it's created and working (at registration time everything is ok and working, user sets new data for the user tracker info before ending registration, etc.). Well, at least for Registered users.

This morning I went (as a user with admin privileges) to User Preferences screen > Personal information > Your personal tracker information: "View extra information" (link to [http://www.moviments.net/intercanvis/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?view=+user] ),

but at that link I get this message:

This user belongs to Admins, Editors and Registered groups, but has no one defined as default.
When defined a default group (Registered, the only one with user tracker defined), the link worked.

I created a new tracker, with this option activated:

The tracker needs a user field with the option 1"

Then, I added many fields, and one of them, of course, user field with option 1, marked as compulsory.

As registered user, I created a new item. Ok.
I atempted to edit the item, and after cliking on save, I get the message that I need to select a user (or some similar text).
This should'nt happen, since the user field should be selected and prefilled by default either from the previous selection, or from the user id.

I have unselected the compulsory checkbox for this field to make it work (but the bug is still there, if selected to be compulsory)

If using tabs, after creating a tracker, the user should be directed to the form of listing trackers ("Trackers" tab), and not remaining at the "Create trackers" tab, as it does right now, since the normal procedure after creating a tracker is either granting it with local perms of just creating fields for that tracker (so that you need to see the "action columnn" in the table at "Trackers" tab.

# Create a new tracker with Google map field, plus other fields, on a tiki site created with basic profile for easy use.
# Log in as registered user (not admin)
# Insert an item (as registered).
# Edit the item, to click to "Google map locator" to geolocate the tracker item
# After cliking on the map (so that having coordinates and zoom for this item), you click on "Save clicked point" button
+ After that, you see on top: "OKOK", and the Google Map locator again.
"The OKOK" message should be removed, and I suggest that the user is automatically taken back to the tracker item after clicking on the "Save clicked point" button

Geolocating tracker items (through Google maps) are not working anymore, but they were before.

Using recent 1.10 update (from end of november or so) nowadays.

In this tracker, field 42 is a category (id2), which has some more subcategories inside:

Tracker 2, has many fields, but 2 examples for the "incorrect filterfield" behavior are:
