Tracker templates (import/export tracker definitions/structure)
If Trackers had the "tracker template" feature, it would allow for better pre-made extended features for Tiki at install time.
In tw.o forums, some people requested like: address books (imagine with the same basic fields as Mozilla Thunderbird & Evolution, etc. address books, ... Export from you local program (through csv), and import to your address book in Tiki (through csv).

The same for "Offers & Demands (linked or linkable)", that many people/communities would like to use like "out of the box" feature. I do have that kind of trackers made (basic, but working for production already: http://valldelcorb.org/trackers - http://valldelcorb.org/Comparteix (1.9.x) or http://intercanvis.net (1.10.x) using tracker plugins in a general Wiki page).

Since duplicate tracker is already coded in 1.10, and templates concept already exists in Tiki, Tracker templates would be a nice MUST in the MID and LONG run.

Tracker templates should be selectable at install time (in the new installer devs. are thinking/designing -> ((Install)) ), or at a later stage through Mods, maybe?

15.x Regression: Some Profiles (including featured) can't create some objects (wiki pages, tracker ids or fields, ...)
15.x Regression: Profile Voting System can't create the instructions page.
IT works as expected from 12.x to 14.x, but not using trunk (future 15.x)

It may happen with other profiles in the Profiles Wizard: I just havent' tested them yet. {sign user="xavi" datetime="2016-01-19T21:35:25+00:00"}

Tested other profile: Collaborative_Community_12x (one of the 4 featured) and it fails to assign the trackerId or tracker fields in the "... Members Homepage", which used to work.{sign user="xavi" datetime="2016-01-21T07:35:32+00:00"}

Reproduced in a show.t.o instance linked to this bug report.
See:

The tracker & items were created properly, but not the references to those objects in the Community+Members+HomePage

Something similar with the "Voting System" profile. The page "Voting" is not created in trunk (but everything works as expected up to 14.x).

Now, when making profiles using YAML, it would be nice to have GeSHi Syntax Highlighter in the CODE/YAML/Profiles definitions.

Allow a user role or group to automatically generate a personal page, an image gallery, a weblog a
When I was testing various CMS/Wikis for a project, I ran across a module for another (Joomla or Drupal, can't remember which) CMS which allowed a user role or group to automatically generate a personal page, an image gallery, a weblog and any type of content page. It would be extremely useful for my project, but one of the few things missing from Tikiwiki (which is why I am implementing Tikiwiki, it has all of the other features I need in one install).

Allow profiles to be found by associated freetag in profiles.t.o through the "Control Panel > Profiles" search box

Profiles.t.o currently runs on tiki 12, but it could be easily (probably) upgraded to Tiki15 if needed.

According to jonnyb in a trm, freetags text need to be added to the unified index, or something like that.

Allow searching by categories and TAGS through the Profiles Control Panel in Tiki
Current feature Profiles in the Control Panels in Tiki searches profile names by category filters (15.x, etc).

Most profiles in profiles.t.o were reviewed in the last years and the suitable ones were added to the ((Profiles Wizard)), in most cases, and added tags to them to facilitate the discovery of profiles that will let you learn how to master feature X or Y that you might be more interested in (e.g., trackers in general, plugin listexecute, spreadsheets, tracker field itemlink, mathematical calculation field, staging and approval, etc).

Searching profiles from within Tiki by tags (folksonomy-based search) is not yet possible. The interface is ready to search by categories (top-down approach, if the naming of the profile doesn't match your expectations, you will miss it probably). "Who knows that Barter_Market will let you practice with itemslist tracker fields? or which profiles will let you learch how to use maps with tracker items? or with convene plugin? or with listexecute plugin? etc.

We currently allow the profiles control panel to search by profile name filtering by category matching the corresponding tiki version. __We should allow that profiles control panel (and /or the Profiles Wizard interface!) to search by tag name while filtering by the same category corresponding to the corresponding tiki version.__

https://profiles.tiki.org/tiki-browse_freetags.php?tag=listexecute&category=18.x ...

I tried once, but my php skills were not high enough, and didn't get the desired result.
Anyone willing to give it a go? (it shouldn't be that difficult for a senior dev, I reckon)

allow_comments or comments from a profile blog definition stopped working
I dunno when this stopped working, but it's definitively not working any more in Tiki12.

See the Featured profile: https://profiles.tiki.org/Personal_Blog_and_Profile_12x

See this:
{CODE(colors="yaml")}
objects:
-
type: blog
ref: personal
data:
title: $profilerequest:Blog Title$My Personal Blog$
description: $profilerequest:Blog Description$Random daily thoughts and travel stories$
user: $profilerequest:Blog Owner$admin$
allow_comments: y
{CODE}

However, once the profile is applied, comments are not allowed yet on that blog.

The documentation for the blog handler says both things comments and allow_comments:
https://profiles.tiki.org/Blog%20Handler

I tried both things, and none of them works for me.

Maybe some bug was introduced somewhere?

I had a look myself but unsure how to fix. (profile internals are not within my expertise)

Reproduced in the show instance:
u: admin
p: 12345

Applied the profile, and when the blog is edited, "Allow comments" is still unchecked:

Apostrophe in Username breaks Tiki
A user registered with an apostroph ' in their username (e.g. "Tes't") will not be able to use some feature of TikiWiki.

For example:
They will be able to select a forum, but after that, all that is displayed is the name of the forum, the "new topic" and "list forum" buttons (depending on permissions, of course), and the breadcrumb forum-navigation. The rest of the page (tiki-view_forum.php?forumid=X) is blank, no header/footer or any menus are displayed.

This __is__ dependant on the rights/permissions of the user in question, SubAdmins and Admins will see the full, expected forum page, regardless of apostrophes in their name (at least with my config, YMMV).

Another problem exists in regards to all JavaScript that uses the name of the user, for example the "tiki-my_tiki.php" page of the user, were JavaScript is used to expand Tabs (e.g. clicking "My Infos" will not work). This is due to JS using ' as string-delimeters, and not escaping any ' within the users name.

---

May be that the sole cause of all the problems lies within the JS-string-delimeter, but I'm no expert on the workings of TikiWiki, and the forum page breaks rather spectacularly when compared to the user profile page, which just doesn't work as expected.

Applying Profile thinks line with #foo selector in CSS code is a comment and omits it
When there is a CSS code in the profile params containing lines with ID selectors applying profile just ignores those lines resulting in wrong CSS code. For example:
{CODE()}
#foo,
.bar,
.bar-bar {
display: block
}
{CODE}
will result in:
{CODE()}
.bar,
.bar-bar {
display: block
}
{CODE}
Example of the profile YAML:
{CODE(caption=>YAML)}
objects:
-
type: module
data:
name: Custom Style
params:
nobox: y
groups:
order: 1
position: top
custom: |
{literal}
<style type="text/css">
#whitehead,
.bgwhite {
background-color: #fff
}
</style>
{/literal}
parse: n
{CODE}
Saving this as -+myprofiles/custom-style.yml+- and applying this profile using -+php console.php profile:apply custom-style myprofiles+- will result in custom module creation named "Custom Style" but there will be no line with -+#whitehead,+- in it, just the .bgwhite class declaration.

Classifieds System / Job board
Integrating a Simple Classifieds System with Categories and Subcategories would be nice. Each ad should be attached to the user that submitted it and possibly integrated with the user's "my page" so they can keep track of their ads, how many replies they've received and so forth. Nothing too complicated to start with...but it would be a fantastic addition to the software.

Application of the Company_Intranet_4x after a new installation with the Barebones install, installs 2 profiles.

Custom CSS values which overrides chosen CSS (and are kept in database to be future-proof)
I pick one of the themes included in Tiki (Codex.css for example). It is almost perfect for my needs. I would like to make a few modifications, which are not appropriate to share with the Tiki project.

A- If I edit the styles/codex.css, I will have to redo my change again at each upgrade.
B- If I duplicate styles/codex.css to styles/mycustomtheme.css, I will not be taking advantage of any future enhancements to the theme.

It is not possible to put CSS information as Custom code in Site Identity.

The other benefit is to distribute css adjustments via profiles, like:
http://profiles.tikiwiki.org/site_width

1- Smarty doesn't like the curly brackets used in CSS. {literal} bla bla {/literal} could be used to get around this
2- It is not in <head> </head>

I jsut tested by putting the code below as Custom code in Site Identity and it works :-)
{img src=images/code.png}%%% {CODE()}
{literal}
<style type="text/css">
body { background-color: blue; }
p { color: yellow; }
</style>
{/literal}
{CODE}

Entering CSS "as-is" with curly brackets in Site Identity and having it render as internal CSS could be a solution.
http://www.tizag.com/cssT/internal.php

or maybe a custom.css should be maintained, and cached from this data.

Extended support for additional user input controls like checkboxes and dropdowns (single/multi selections)
The profile feature of Tiki is a really powerful tool, but it could be more flexible in processing user input before applying profiles.
Right now, it is only possible to request string (Input Text) data from the user during applying a profile .
I'm planning to do a really customizable profile, that can be configured via the user request form.
It should be possible to have more supported controls like checkboxes, radio buttons and (single/multi) dropdown selections.
Then these input data should also be used within a condition (IF/ELSE statements) to react on these user input during processing the profile apply.

__Example:__

Show a list of predefined groups an a offer to the admin user.
He can select, what groups are needed and which are then automatically set up by the profile:

[[ ] Group Sales
[[ ] Group Marketing
[[ ] Group Administration

Visuals possibly like:
* list of checkbox (multiple selection)
* radio button group (single selection)
* dropdown (Bootstrap) which can be used with single and multi selection

__Important:__
By having such controls available it is mandatory to be able to use them with conditions (IF/ELSE IF/ELSE) within the YAML code to be able to switch processing on the given selection.

__Further profile related ideas:__
* Secured profile repositories (password required, profile user which can be permitted)
>> Option to hide profile content to public and registered users

Getting Things Done (GTD) profile
"__Getting Things Done__ (commonly abbreviated as __GTD__) is an action management method of the __David Allen Company__, and the title of the book by __David Allen__ that describes the method. Both __Getting Things Done__ and __GTD__ are registered trademarks of the David Allen Company.

__GTD__ rests on the principle that a person needs to ''move'' tasks out of the mind by ''recording'' them somewhere. That way, the mind is ''freed'' from the job of ''remembering'' everything that needs to be done, and can ''concentrate'' on actually '' performing'' those tasks. What distinguishes GTD from other time- or action-management systems is the idea of __''grouping tasks'' by the context__ (defined as a place or set of available resources) in which they are to be __performed__."

Improving Admin => Profile page
I went at cp => profile and got some preliminaries feedback to share (I know it is over the task but it can’t hurt to know where we fail);

It’s a bit unfriendly... I mean the information is very thin and unless I know what I want the page information are not helping.
I tried to check the profiles that can help with: user, registration, users, profile, profiles... no results.
I turn advanced admin pref = no change.
I rebuild Admin Index = success dozens of profiles appears !

Admin Index should be automatically rebuild on install because I guess a lot of things are then not working (search, profile...) as brand new admin expect.

Results are not helping again. :-(

User = 28 results, many, many fields setting... (mini profile included in another profile)
