12.x: slideshow issues in contrast with bg and right-hand-side colors in recent commits
Hi all

Since some recent commits related to themes and slideshow, the default slideshow behavior changed and some issues showed up with wrong font color contrast in respect to color background and side colors.

See it reproduced in this screenshot (after applying the "Slideshow_demo" profile, passing a few slides and changing the style to eggplant, for instance)

{img fileId="721" thumb="y" rel="box[g]"}

and see it also in the associated show instance.

The first slide already have the issue of the black text shown over the dark blue color on the right.
But if you cahnge the style through the dropdown at the bottom to "eggplant" for instance, you'll get an even worse scenario: white font over white bg.

13.x: Slideshow skips 1 out of 2 slides and content of 1st slide is shown at the end of the slideshow

To reproduce, apply the Slideshow profile (available in the Profiles Wizard), validate the plugin call, and start the slideshow. 1st screen is empty, and the last screen shows the contents that in 12.x where shown in the first slide, where they were expected.

In addition, when you click on the screen, on press Page forward or down key, you skip one slide each time. (tested with Chrome 35 and Firefox 30 on GNU/Linux)

a module would be wonderful for the new slideshow features (mootols and jquery) . So far, you can use the slideshow in a wiki page embedding through the iframe plugin the url of the slideshow, but it's way too difficult for newbies.

That module would need some param to let the user choose whether to autosatrt the slideshow, or not (liek the flash plugin with movies).

And another param for automatic loop or just play once. I would say

Add an optional parameter for Tiki sliders (slider, carousel, slideshow, list template)
{syntax type="tiki" editor="plain"}
While it is not wise to create or publish a slider with different height images it happen and the result is really naughty. It push down content then push it up...

See : the show instance of this ticket and https://doc.tiki.org/PluginList-output-control-block#Report_Formatting

As discussed in the January 2020 Tiki Roundtable Meeting it will be great to have a new optional parameter to fix the height no matter the usage (plugin in page or plugin list template).

* Swiper
* Carousel
* Plugin List carousel template

In trackers, if you find a tracker item following a search, you have some parameters in the URL for item 6 of 70. The canonical format should be just the tracker item.

In blogs,
tiki-send_blog_post.php?postId=xyz

tiki-print_blog_post.php?postId=6079

File Galleries Slideshow not working
File gallery slideshow does not work.

editor is not defined
file4?&slideshow
Line 12

The file templates/file_gallery_slideshow.tpl requires lib/slideshow/slideshow.rc1.packed.js but the latter file is missing, as is the "icons" directory which it requires.

On a related note, the directory lib/slideshow now contains directories css and js but no instructions on their use.

File gallery slideshow broken
The first image displays but is badly distorted (available image lib is GD). The name of the second image moves into place, but the first image (its right-hand side) continues to display. Then it moves offscreen at about image name number three and no other images display.

Find an easy way to help tiki users convert their slideshows made with tiki slideshow feature into a pdf of slides (for backup and life-saver when internet issues at presentation time)
Find an easy way to help tiki users convert their slideshows made with tiki slideshow feature into a pdf of slides (for backup and life-saver when internet issues at presentation time)

Every now and then, we prepare presentations with the nice Tiki ((doc:Slideshow)) feature (jquery.s5)
But the day of the presentation, some issues might happen: internet connectivity issues, or others, like in the demo scheduled for the Tiki Roundtable Meeting for April 2015 from teh tekadvocates, etc.

The dompdf lib seemed to help with that, but it was never brought to a production level. See:
http://doc.tiki.org/Slideshow#PDF_Export

Some workaround is to make the slideshow by hand through screenshots of all slides, one by one, and then, convert them all into a pdf with external tools, such as gscan2pdf or similar.

Link to 'Edit diagram' shouldn't be displayed in Slideshow
When you have a diagram in a wiki page (made with ((doc:PluginDiagram)) ), if you have permission to edit it, you see a link to "Edit Diagram" at the bottom right corner of the diagram displayed in the wiki page.

When you show that page content through ((doc:PluginSlideshow)), then you expect tiki to hide those links to edit wiki sections, edit plugins inline, etc. (which work well, they are hidden in the slideshow), but the diagram still shows the label and link to "Edit Diagram", and it should be hidden when you are inside the presentation.

mobile version slideshow
current Slideshow feature doesn't really support mobile browser, there is a workaround to set mobile browser to request desktop contents, but the navigation and screen layout not really fit to mobile nature.

slideshow is nice feature in desktop, but more people is using mobile to show the contents, to get the feature work in mobile would be helpful.

can we have a enhanced version of slideshow to support mobile?

(3) Slideshow works in File Galleries __ONLY if using Mozilla Firefox or IE 8, if IE 8 not running in compatibility mode__ (I.E. 6,7 fail to display the slideshow)

---------------------
Neither the slideshow nor the new colorbox (shadowbox replacement?) features seem to work in Tiki 4.0. Both slideshow and shadowbox have checkboxes in the Admin panels. Are there any other supporting features that need to be enabled.

Note: The thubmnail generator seems to work much better for the file gallery in 4.0 than in 3.x or 2.x.

relative links with url like "show:MySlideshow" are not prepended the domain in the url
relative links with url like "show:MySlideshow" are not prepended the domain in the url. when tiki installed in a subfolder (http://example.com/tiki/). I.e., this code:

{CODE()}
{button href="show:MySlideshow#s1" _text="Slideshow"} {button href="dl543" _text="Slides in PDF"}
{CODE}

would keep the link in the first button as just "show:MySlideshow#s1", while the second one will be converted into the full url (prepended with the domain): http://dev.tiki.org/dl543

Example:
{button href="show:MySlideshow#s1" _text="Slideshow"} {button href="dl543" _text="Slides in PDF"}

This code seems to behave well in dev.t.o, but it does reproduce the error in demo.t.o/12.x/:

S5: A Simple Standards-Based Slide Show System
Tiki has a basic feature to generate slides from wiki page data. This permits to prepare slides collaboratively and makes them highly available/searchable/accessible.
http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Slideshow+User

However, the feature is not very exciting.

1- I do not want to rely on an external service to distribute my
slides. I want to put on my TikiWiki-powered sites. And I want them to
be searchable & accessible. An export to Flash is not ideal.

2- I want something standards-based to make sure I can use when I am
not using my computer (like at FOSDEM). Sure, Regis did an amazing
presentation at the last TikiFest, made with Keynote. But now, how to
share, mix and re-use?

3- I want a way to collaborate (when preparing) & share slide
information in an easier fashion.
a) I have done dozens of presentations. The collaborative process
using desktop tools is very inefficient. I remember a long night in a
hotel room in Tunis where we where collaborating over Skype to
fine-tune a presentation.

4- As Dogfood, I think these slides could help to
A) Make nicer tutorials/documentation
B) Promotional material on info.tikiwiki.org

5- Finally, I want something much nicer than what we have now. The
quality/design/features of S5 reloaded has nothing to be shy about
compared to Desktop apps:
http://www.netzgesta.de/S5/reloaded/advantages.php?id=sunny_gfx

Some goodies I look forward to using:
A- A second browser window which shows me a timer and some notes.
B- A special syntax to handle handouts.

6- Some of the concepts (ex.: image resizing depending on current
browser size) could be useful for Tiki in general.

Here is a proof of concept of
Wiki page:
