I made a test of the live support system, which seems broken in Tiki 13.
Error 1: PHP error. The lslib.php get_event is not matching the tikilib::get_event() definition. The tikilib verison is used by tiki_score
The live support system correctly shows the online status of an operator, it seems
Error 2: When a client attempt to contact live support it is difficult to get the event through to the online operator. I had to reload the operator panel to get it.
Error 3: The chat messages are not relayed, making the live support completely useless.
I now spotted this mail thread: https://tiki.org/forumthread48606
Pascal mentions this should be killed if it doesn't work, and I tend to agree. Having a dysfunctional support system is worse than none at all.
However, the Live Support is a very nice feature, if it did work properly (and looked better).
I did some fixes to the Live support system, so it functions again. However, the status is not good and it is not recommended to use it on "critical" sites. The errors listed above should be fixed though.
The functionality can really beneficial to some sites. The whole system should be revamped.
To help developers solve the bug, we kindly request that you demonstrate your bug on a show2.tiki.org instance. To start, simply select a version and click on "Create show2.tiki.org instance". Once the instance is ready (in a minute or two), as indicated in the status window below, you can then access that instance, login (the initial admin username/password is "admin") and configure the Tiki to demonstrate your bug. Priority will be given to bugs that have been demonstrated on show2.tiki.org.
The URL for the show.tikiwiki.org instance that demonstrates this bug is at: http://arild-11385-5435.show.tikiwiki.org. Note that if you get a popup asking for a username/password, please just enter "show" and "show". This is different from the initial login and password for a new Tiki which is "admin" and "admin".
For the install log, see http://arild-11385-5435.show.tikiwiki.org/info.txt
Note that if you see PHP errors or a Tiki claiming to be missing third party software, the instance creation is probably not finished. Please wait a couple minutes and reload.
Snapshots are database dumps of the configuration that developers can download for debugging. Once you have reproduced your bug on the show.tikiwiki.org instance, create a snapshot that can then be downloaded by developers for further investigation.
Snapshots can be accessed at: http://arild-11385-5435.show.tikiwiki.org/snapshots/. Note that if you get a popup asking for a username/password, please just enter "show" and "show".
