Description

When using the comment rating feature as described in http://doc.tiki.org/Rating -> "Users ratings in Comments", everything looks and works fine as long as I'm logged in as an administrator, but as soon as I'm logged in as a standard registered user, I cannot see the rating results anymore.

The obvious solution according to the documentation would be to just activate tiki > tiki_p_ratings_view_results for registered users.
The problem here is that this option cannot be chosen in the permissions' section - even when also the permissions for disabled features ared shown.

Solution

I had to reassign admin password to 12345 in order to be able to enter to your show.t.o instance.
It was some configuration issue, that could (hopefully) be solved with better information in the admin panels. I've just submitted a change to show an extra pref (from "Admin home > Comments > Use vote system for comments) also in "Admin home > Rating > Comments > Use vote system for comments". As well as the perm to view comments in wiki pages, which was also missing in the list of perms involved.

This change will be included in Tiki 12.1.

Your show.t.o instance has this issue solved.

Thanks for reporting.

Please close this issue if you agree that it's fixed with this information.

Update: For some reason, if "wiki_comments_form_displayed_default" is enabled, then users can't rate on the comments on wiki pages, I don't know why. But this is different, probably, from your issue. I'm just reporting here for completeness, in case somebody else notice somethin like this.

Keywords

The following is a list of keywords that should serve as hubs for navigation within the Tiki development and should correspond to documentation keywords.

Each feature in Tiki has a wiki page which regroups all the bugs, requests for enhancements, etc. It is somewhat a form of wiki-based project management. You can also express your interest in a feature by adding it to your profile. You can also try out the Dynamic filter.
