Just play around with it (sending a task, etc) and you will see.
Maybe it's because this site has thousands of users and on a clean install, it will be fast.
When adding a task from a module:
Execution time: 212.52 secs Memory usage: 10.13MB 143 database queries used GZIP Enabled Server load: 6.65
The problem seems to be with the module "user_tasks" and presumably "user_tasks_public". When these modules are not assigned (activated), the task feature is fast (and quite nice/complete, I must say). It appears to be when the module cache is (re)generated.- Importance
