Below is a list of all trackers for a specific feature.
It includes feature requests & bugs. This is intended to make it easier to know all the work from the wishlist affecting a specific area in Tiki.
This will open the door to more efficient wiki-based project management (a combination of wiki & trackers)
Tracker items have a priority rating. However, by experience, most people who take the time to submit a bug report or a feature request tend to think that it is very important. We get a lot more priority 8 & 9 than 1 & 2 Therefore, we have developped a way for the community to vote on each tracker item. Therefore, it will be more "democratic" to see which bugs are affecting more people and which features are the most in demand. broken now in wiki pages broken now in tracker also
Tiki has a lot of features. But they are not always well documented or easy to find. Sometimes, people ask for features which already exist!
Very few people have extensive experience of all the features in Tiki. Therefore, it is not easy to find a tracker manager (someone to evaluate all tracker items, and confirm the feature in fact doesn't exist or that bug exists). By splitting the tracker items, by category, it will make it easier.
- There will be less duplicates as it will be easier to see if a bug has already been logged
- We hope some people who know certain features very well could become responsible for keeping the tracker list clean.
- Hopefully, some developers could adopt certain features and keep the buglist to a minimum. And, if they are interested, they could suggest a roadmap for the other feature requests.
For evaluators, this list will help to know if Tiki is a good choice for you.
- Do the bugs look serious and /or like they would affect you?
- Feature requests are a good indication of what the feature DOESN'T DO yet. It it a hint of the feature's maturity.
