Default Preferences to be changed

This is the responsibility of the Profiles Team (please join!)



Below should be all coordination work to change Default settings of the standard profile.


Here are changes proposed to the default installation profiles. Discussing this in a Wiki page can keep track of all complaints we receive and point to what really needs to be changed.

ricks99 thinks that showing the folders is much more intuitive than the +/-. I like the folders much better.
SEO feature_sefurl_title_article and feature_sefurl_title_blog turn on if SEFURL is on
Editing and Plugins wiki_edit_icons_toggle Should be off dy default Because new users never find out about the very useful edit plugin helper
Admin Security Add "rel=nofollow" on external links (feature_wiki_ext_rel_nofollow) It should default to off Site generally wants to give props to friendly sites. This was changed hoping it would slow down spam, but the spam problem needs to be dealt with anyways.
Search Exclude all plugins (unified_exclude_all_plugins) Disable (include all plugins by default) Proposed by Marc Laporte. Chealer: I agree this should be done though perhaps some plugins should be excluded as Marc wrote.

Try a clean install. As of now, tiki-my_tiki.php is not WYSIWYCA on a clean install.
My Tiki (pages, tracker items, etc) should all be on by default.)

Each feature in Tiki has a wiki page which regroups all the bugs, requests for enhancements, etc. It is somewhat a form of wiki-based project management. You can also express your interest in a feature by adding it to your profile. You can also try out the Dynamic filter.
