Ajax framework in Tiki has been under development since v1.10, and it is intended to finally move it out of "experimental" mode for Tiki 6 LTS
These notes are currently being updated (July 2010) - see below for plans to split the AJAX feature up by section.
Features benefiting from AJAX
The intention is to provide new ajax preferences to allow site admins to choose which bits of Tiki should use it. These will/may be called: ajax_fgal, ajax_calendar, ajax_modules etc.
- Toolbars (formerly known as Quicktags)
- Inter-User Messages
- Editing pages
- save draft feature
- auto save
- File Gallery
- Webmail / GroupMail
