Pingus, just to make one point clearer.
You said:

After some discussions with Aldo and Ben we really don't think the categories permissions must be changed to integrate WS. The proposal you see in this wiki works with the current permissions categories have.
In the devel list there were a few discussions about changing these permissions, but we now prefer to work on the structure tiki now has.
This is actually an integration of aulawiki in tiki. I hope this makes our design clearer for you.
You didn't understand me.
I simply said that granting permissions on certain workspace/category/objects to groups is not to be confused with administering groups. One thing is administering objects/categories/workspaces permissions, the other is administering groups.
Once all this is ready up and working, ws defined, permissions granted to every group etc, teacher must start to fill these empty groups with some users/othergroups.
I miss the part on methods, permissions, limits a teacher should have in administering his ws groups.Because workspaces will introduce a new challenging feature to tiki:
Can we start a discussion on this?
This analysis is focused on resources and thier permission management
The other core component, TBD in workspaces, is the management of Groups: because groups and users need to be part of other groups that have the permissions on the WS and its objects.
This is very different than granting WS categ permissions for a group.
To admin a WS you need to be able to add users/groups to other groups.
Which groups can you add to a workspace, and then people/groups to it? Any group? Other workspaces' groups? Some other workspace's 'viewers' but not 'admin' or 'editors' groups? How do you select/filter them? How do you know other groups permissions, provided you are not admin, but a simple WS_admin? How can you add other workspaces group to yours, but not yourself to them so that you are prevented from becoming part of another workspace's admins?
