Reported first Using 1.10cvs from mid June 2007. Reviewed and confirmed goal is still legitimate in Jan 2022 (15 years later).
The tracker field "subscription" should include an option to automatically send a notification message to them item autor (and "watchers" of the item, maybe?)
Because subscription field is very useful also in letting people show interest in whatever you offered or requested in a tracker, and might be an easy way to let users get in contact related to that offer or demand... etc.
Thanks Guilles for your nice contributions to Tiki code!
An admiror of yor work, as Sylvie once said...
Add a user field as owner of the tracker item, and set it to receive email notifications of changes to the tracker items they are owners of. This has nothing to do with this specific field "subscription", but might server for the basic purpose in generic use cases.
Maybe that is enough. That's why I set it as "partially solved", and keep it as pending, in case anyone uses this field and lacks this feature for their use cases. Personally I never used this feature because of lacking such feature (or emailing owner when maximum seats at subscribed, etc)
